insist_v upon_o perhaps_o not_o unprofitable_o yet_o because_o these_o motive_n be_v the_o chief_a to_o which_o all_o other_o may_v be_v refer_v and_o so_o evident_a that_o they_o can_v as_o i_o concur_v with_o foreign_a protestant_n to_o assist_v the_o common_a cause_n of_o religion_n against_o the_o enemy_n thereof_o we_o shall_v find_v nothing_o more_o suitable_a to_o the_o credit_n of_o conscience_n to_o be_v such_o as_o we_o believe_v it_o to_o be_v and_o in_o reference_n to_o our-selve_n the_o good_a opinion_n other_o have_v of_o our_o sincerity_n zeal_n and_o ability_n in_o the_o way_n of_o the_o profession_n do_v oblige_v we_o in_o honesty_n to_o endeavour_v to_o the_o utmost_a to_o answer_v their_o expectation_n and_o maintain_v the_o honour_n of_o our_o good_a name_n in_o relation_n to_o our_o religion_n in_o these_o respect_v i_o say_v the_o complete_n of_o this_o practical_a body_n of_o divinity_n will_v be_v of_o special_a use_n as_o well_o for_o the_o honour_n of_o the_o profession_n as_o for_o our_o credit_n in_o uphold_v it_o for_o whereas_o nothing_o do_v so_o much_o either_o scandalize_v the_o weak_a or_o stagger_v the_o ignorant_a at_o the_o profession_n of_o the_o protestant_a religion_n or_o give_v advantage_n on_o the_o one_o hand_n unto_o the_o papist_n to_o seduce_v silly_a soul_n to_o a_o superstitious_a worship_n as_o this_o reproach_n that_o we_o be_v all_o break_a to_o piece_n among_o our-selve_n and_o divide_v in_o our_o sense_n about_o religion_n have_v no_o certainty_n in_o any_o thing_n on_o the_o other_o hand_n unto_o the_o self-conceited_a libertine_n to_o entice_v high_a mind_a zelots_n to_o the_o pride_n of_o singular_a saintship_n as_o this_o other_o reproach_n that_o we_o rest_v in_o practice_n of_o form_n and_o be_v destitute_a of_o the_o power_n of_o godliness_n have_v nothing_o that_o be_v spiritual_a in_o our_o profession_n whereas_o i_o say_v both_o these_o adversary_n labour_v different_a way_n and_o profession_n from_o the_o aspersion_n of_o division_n of_o uncertainty_n of_o formality_n and_o of_o the_o want_n of_o spiritual_a power_n then_o to_o make_v up_o this_o practical_a body_n of_o divinity_n for_o it_o be_v compose_v of_o those_o many_o positive_a doctrine_n which_o be_v undeniable_o evident_a in_o the_o scripture_n which_o be_v understand_v will_v be_v clear_a to_o the_o by_o which_o all_o hand_n will_v be_v strengthen_v and_o the_o heart_n of_o those_o that_o faint_v now_o by_o reason_n of_o their_o solitary_a walk_n will_v be_v encourage_v they_o to_o proceed_v with_o cheerfulness_n by_o reason_n of_o the_o conjunction_n of_o so_o great_a a_o help_n from_o all_o their_o brethren_n and_o true_o beside_o the_o assistance_n and_o support_v which_o the_o truth_n itself_o will_v receive_v from_o this_o work_n by_o be_v publish_v and_o hold_v forth_o in_o that_o wherein_o all_o the_o witness_n thereof_o do_v agree_v which_o be_v one_o of_o the_o great_a help_n work_n will_v be_v for_o in_o the_o time_n of_o our_o dissipation_n this_o may_v hopeful_o become_v a_o pillar_n to_o uphold_v the_o truth_n and_o therein_o a_o monument_n of_o our_o conjunction_n a_o instrument_n of_o our_o concurrence_n in_o the_o gospel_n and_o by_o god_n blessing_n in_o the_o end_n a_o mean_n to_o revive_v and_o restore_v the_o witness_n to_o their_o heavenly_a splendour_n and_o authority_n and_o if_o there_o be_v nothing_o else_o but_o this_o which_o be_v clear_o our_o own_o special_a interest_n yet_o this_o alone_a shall_v waken_v up_o to_o a_o full_a resolution_n to_o undertake_v this_o business_n with_o all_o speed_n and_o diligence_n chief_o because_o the_o adversary_n make_v no_o delay_n to_o accomplish_v their_o design_n against_o the_o way_n of_o righteousness_n which_o we_o be_v bind_v withal_o our_o might_n to_o maintain_v but_o beside_o this_o necessity_n of_o join_v our_o spirit_n to_o a_o correspond_v in_o the_o truth_n among_o interest_n of_o the_o protestant_a cause_n which_o be_v the_o gospel_n because_o they_o do_v not_o endeavour_v to_o help_v the_o lord_n against_o the_o mighty_a that_o be_v to_o protect_v the_o church_n abroad_o by_o those_o mean_n which_o they_o have_v in_o their_o hand_n and_o be_v answerable_a to_o the_o light_n of_o the_o truth_n whereof_o they_o make_v profession_n and_o because_o the_o way_n of_o their_o policy_n do_v lead_v they_o rather_o to_o fide_fw-la with_o the_o common_a adversary_n for_o self_n end_v to_o betray_v the_o cause_n rather_o than_o to_o uphold_v it_o therefore_o
