of_o the_o fit_a title_n of_o god_n to_o name_v he_o by_o according_a as_o there_o shall_v be_v especial_a cause_n or_o use_v of_o his_o power_n wisdom_n mercy_n truth_n or_o justice_n etc._n etc._n then_o to_o use_v such_o name_n as_o may_v best_o express_v those_o attribute_n which_o be_v especial_o to_o be_v exercise_v in_o the_o grant_n of_o their_o request_n thus_o much_o of_o the_o whole_a description_n of_o god_n be_v consider_v joint_o now_o follow_v the_o consideration_n of_o each_o part_n of_o the_o description_n father_n have_v relation_n first_o to_o christ_n the_o second_o person_n in_o trinity_n whereby_o our_o saviour_n direct_v we_o unto_o a_o consideration_n of_o the_o three_o person_n in_o trinity_n and_o to_o the_o order_n of_o direct_v of_o prayer_n ordinary_o with_o the_o father_n which_o show_v plain_o that_o the_o father_n in_o especial_a sort_n must_v be_v appease_v and_o seek_v unto_o the_o son_n supply_v the_o place_n of_o a_o mediator_n and_o intercessor_n by_o who_o request_v ascend_v and_o become_v acceptable_a to_o the_o father_n he_o be_v that_o golden_a altar_n 16.23_o joh._n 16.23_o upon_o which_o the_o prayer_n of_o all_o saint_n by_o the_o intercession_n of_o the_o son_n for_o we_o know_v not_o what_o we_o shall_v pray_v for_o as_o we_o ought_v and_o if_o the_o spirit_n do_v not_o work_v together_o in_o our_o prayer_n there_o will_v be_v no_o goodness_n at_o all_o in_o they_o no_o not_o so_o much_o as_o truth_n and_o uprightness_n without_o which_o christ_n jesus_n will_v not_o offer_v they_o to_o his_o father_n for_o we_o therefore_o prayer_n must_v be_v make_v in_o the_o spirit_n through_o the_o help_n of_o the_o spirit_n now_o because_o of_o this_o order_n of_o person_n in_o the_o deity_n the_o father_n be_v first_o and_o because_o of_o the_o different_a place_n they_o sustain_v in_o the_o work_n of_o our_o salvation_n the_o counsel_n and_o will_n of_o all_o three_o be_v that_o the_o father_n shall_v be_v pray_v unto_o and_o worship_v in_o the_o only_a mediation_n of_o the_o son_n through_o the_o spirit_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v that_o the_o father_n be_v here_o name_v not_o the_o son_n or_o holy_a ghost_n but_o because_o of_o the_o indivisible_a essence_n of_o the_o godhead_n the_o name_n of_o the_o father_n do_v necessary_o imply_v the_o call_n upon_o both_o son_n and_o holy_a ghost_n also_o if_o god_n must_v be_v know_v and_o use_v 1_o worship_v in_o the_o distinction_n of_o the_o person_n in_o trinity_n than_o it_o be_v impossible_a to_o represent_v god_n by_o any_o image_n as_o the_o papist_n do_v for_o by_o what_o visible_a likeness_n can_v a_o invisible_a spirit_n which_o be_v true_o not_o imaginarily_o distinguish_v into_o three_o person_n and_o different_a manner_n of_o subsist_v be_v liken_v or_o resemble_v the_o papist_n that_o come_v to_o use_v 2_o god_n by_o the_o mediation_n of_o christ_n but_o in_o part_n join_v to_o christ_n the_o mediation_n of_o saint_n be_v hereby_o confute_v for_o there_o be_v no_o mediator_n but_o that_o one_o person_n by_o who_o god_n be_v our_o father_n they_o come_v a_o distinction_n say_v christ_n be_v only_a mediator_n of_o redemption_n but_o not_o the_o only_a mediator_n of_o intercession_n that_o so_o they_o may_v leave_v a_o room_n in_o which_o they_o may_v place_v the_o mediation_n of_o saint_n but_o this_o be_v to_o sever_v what_o god_n have_v join_v for_o the_o scripture_n know_v no_o advocate_n or_o intercessor_n but_o he_o who_o be_v the_o redeemer_n 2.12_o 1._o joh._n 2.12_o scil_n christ_n jesus_n the_o
