bless_v god_n in_o our_o tongue_n and_o therewithal_o do_v curse_v 9_o rom._n 12._o 14._o â—_o pet._n 3._o 9_o our_o neighbour_n the_o bitterness_n of_o our_o curse_v so_o turn_v the_o nature_n of_o our_o blessing_n that_o it_o be_v unseasonable_a and_o unsaverie_a before_o god_n for_o as_o sweet_a and_o bitter_a water_n mingle_v &_o blend_v together_o the_o bitter_a easy_o take_v away_o the_o nature_n of_o the_o sweet_a and_o as_o honey_n and_o poison_n temper_v together_o the_o poison_n far_o less_o in_o quantity_n turn_v the_o honey_n so_o when_o curse_v and_o blessing_n be_v in_o one_o mouth_n together_o the_o bitterness_n of_o the_o curse_n turn_v the_o sweetness_n of_o the_o blessing_n and_o make_v it_o odious_a before_o god_n wherefore_o it_o be_v apparent_a that_o we_o can_v not_o bless_v god_n if_o we_o curse_v and_o slander_v our_o neighbour_n the_o doctrine_n of_o this_o place_n may_v then_o be_v this_o that_o with_o this_o instrument_n and_o member_n which_o be_v the_o tongue_n there_o be_v no_o duty_n acceptable_o perform_v unto_o god_n when_o thereby_o we_o harm_n or_o hurt_v our_o neighbour_n and_o brethren_n who_o when_o we_o thus_o harm_v if_o we_o think_v to_o please_v god_n we_o deceyve_v ourselves_o through_o hypocrisy_n and_o thus_o much_o concern_v the_o moderate_n of_o the_o tongue_n both_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o profit_n and_o discommodity_n thereof_o which_o out_o of_o this_o place_n may_v be_v sufficient_a to_o have_v observe_v special_o see_v in_o the_o first_o chapter_n verse_n 26._o and_o in_o the_o next_o chapter_n be_v the_o four_o verse_n 11._o more_o may_v be_v gather_v now_o the_o god_n of_o peace_n and_o the_o father_n of_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n pour_v down_o into_o our_o heart_n his_o heavenly_a spirit_n that_o not_o only_o our_o life_n may_v be_v reform_v according_a to_o his_o bless_a word_n but_o our_o tongue_n also_o refrain_v after_o his_o holy_a will_n that_o all_o the_o power_n of_o our_o mind_n and_o part_n of_o our_o body_n may_v be_v instrument_n of_o his_o praise_n
