unclean_a therefore_o they_o first_o and_o open_o cry_v out_o against_o all_o book_n and_o read_v that_o so_o they_o may_v include_v or_o take_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n and_o whatever_o be_v suitable_a thereto_o against_o which_o be_v their_o only_a design_n the_o evil_a spirit_n in_o they_o well_o know_v that_o man_n be_v very_o apt_a to_o conceive_v some_o light_a esteem_n of_o or_o distaste_n at_o the_o scripture_n and_o what_o be_v consonant_n to_o they_o because_o that_o be_v always_o reprove_v they_o and_o testify_v their_o wisdom_n work_n and_o lust_n to_o be_v vain_a and_o evil_a especial_o when_o they_o be_v encourage_v thereto_o under_o pretence_n of_o spirituality_n and_o high_a notion_n and_o yet_o with_o such_o secret_a promise_n of_o liberty_n or_o exalt_v something_o as_o be_v suitable_a to_o their_o proper_a lust_n and_o if_o they_o once_o be_v move_v to_o slight_v those_o book_n and_o so_o the_o thing_n hear_v from_o the_o beginning_n they_o will_v of_o themselves_o inquire_v after_o and_o not_o be_v take_v off_o from_o those_o book_n and_o novelty_n through_o which_o they_o be_v first_o persuade_v to_o such_o light_a estimate_n of_o the_o scripture_n under_o pretence_n of_o take_v they_o off_o from_o man_n and_o book_n etc._n etc._n when_o once_o the_o ear_n be_v turn_v from_o hear_v the_o truth_n or_o the_o heart_n bring_v to_o dis-relish_a sound_a doctrine_n than_o it_o be_v easy_o turn_v aside_o to_o fable_n and_o the_o same_o evil_a spirit_n will_v secret_o while_o he_o cry_v out_o against_o hear_v man_n and_o read_v book_n allow_v they_o heap_n of_o teacher_n and_o book_n too_o and_o direct_v they_o not_o only_o to_o hear_v and_o read_v but_o to_o worship_v they_o in_o which_o the_o truth_n of_o those_o themselves_o as_o the_o word_n of_o the_o eternal_a god_n and_o curse_v other_o for_o but_o call_v their_o word_n into_o question_n while_o yet_o also_o they_o reproach_v they_o for_o desire_v to_o have_v their_o faith_n in_o christ_n regulate_v according_a to_o the_o testimony_n of_o jesus_n so_o give_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n as_o aforesaid_a and_o the_o preacher_n of_o that_o testimony_n as_o preacher_n of_o letter_n and_o command_v they_o to_o throw_v it_o by_o and_o wait_v for_o some_o other_o immediate_a teach_n and_o wherein_o you_o have_v do_v all_o this_o be_v clear_a in_o your_o discourse_n and_o in_o farnsworths_n challenge_n and_o in_o this_o thy_o letter_n throughout_o notwithstanding_o it_o be_v plain_o tell_v you_o what_o the_o affirm_v of_o the_o ministry_n of_o can_v afford_v the_o everlasting_a gospel_n he_o call_v that_o not_o a_o dead_a but_o a_o kill_a letter_n now_o that_o can_v kill_v that_o have_v no_o life_n in_o it_o but_o this_o ministry_n of_o the_o gospel_n as_o commit_v to_o they_o which_o also_o be_v witness_v in_o the_o law_n and_o prophet_n this_o as_o oppose_v to_o the_o law_n i_o say_v he_o call_v the_o ministration_n of_o the_o to_o preach_v they_o down_o as_o the_o apostle_n preach_v down_o circumcision_n temple_n and_o sacrifice_n without_o it_o content_v not_o thou_o to_o preach_v down_o the_o same_o thing_n the_o apostle_n preach_v down_o as_o figure_n etc._n etc._n but_o thou_o must_v preach_v down_o what_o they_o lift_v up_o as_o the_o body_n the_o truth_n &_o so_o to_o abide_v for_o ever_o thou_o must_v
