action_n be_v any_o way_n dishonourable_a to_o the_o lord_n now_o the_o last_o thing_n to_o be_v consider_v in_o this_o first_o petition_n be_v the_o thanksgiving_n petition_n 5_o the_o thanksgiving_n of_o the_o first_o prayer_n or_o petition_n we_o give_v thanks_o unto_o god_n for_o these_o good_a thing_n which_o he_o have_v bestow_v upon_o we_o and_o other_o his_o child_n as_o 1._o knowledge_n of_o his_o word_n and_o work_n 2._o acknowledgement_n of_o the_o same_o 4._o religious_a affection_n speech_n and_o action_n also_o we_o give_v thanks_o for_o that_o he_o have_v mortify_v the_o contrary_a sin_n in_o some_o measure_n both_o in_o we_o and_o our_o brethren_n as_o first_o ignorance_n second_o error_n three_o vanity_n of_o mind_n four_o profaneness_n in_o affection_n speech_n and_o action_n the_o particular_n of_o all_o which_o may_v easy_o be_v collect_v by_o the_o former_a tractate_n in_o the_o supplication_n and_o deprecation_n and_o this_o also_o in_o brief_n may_v suffice_v for_o the_o thanksgiving_n for_o a_o conclusion_n of_o this_o petition_n let_v this_o general_a rule_n be_v remember_v that_o whatsoever_o virtue_n be_v command_v in_o the_o three_o first_o commandment_n that_o be_v here_o desire_a whatsoever_o sin_n be_v forbid_v in_o the_o same_o be_v here_o also_o pray_v against_o for_o the_o virtue_n appertain_v to_o god_n worship_n be_v worthy_a particular_o to_o search_v into_o these_o matter_n let_v he_o search_v the_o writing_n of_o the_o learned_a expound_v the_o commandment_n this_o be_v the_o first_o petition_n concern_v god_n glory_n which_o be_v the_o end_n of_o all_o now_o follow_v the_o two_o petition_n which_o infer_v the_o mean_n of_o his_o glory_n and_o first_o that_o of_o the_o kingdom_n of_o god_n thy_o kingdom_n come_v thus_o direct_o confirm_v our_o faith_n for_o the_o first_o petition_n that_o which_o be_v most_o dear_a to_o thyself_o thou_o will_v procure_v but_o thy_o glory_n be_v most_o dear_a to_o thyself_o therefore_o glorify_v thyself_o by_o we_o or_o in_o we_o or_o give_v we_o grace_n to_o glorify_v thy_o name_n indirect_o it_o confirm_v our_o faith_n in_o all_o the_o other_o petition_n after_o this_o manner_n thou_o lord_n will_v further_o all_o the_o mean_n of_o thy_o glory_n but_o the_o enlarge_n of_o thy_o kingdom_n the_o obedience_n of_o thy_o will_n our_o daily_a bread_n remission_n of_o sin_n and_o perseverance_n in_o grace_n be_v mean_n of_o thy_o glory_n therefore_o lord_n we_o be_v persuade_v thou_o will_v cause_v etc._n etc._n kingdom_n the_o eternity_n of_o god_n kingdom_n the_o
