be_v rid_v of_o he_o then_o to_o forge_v a_o commission_n wicked_o contrive_v a_o passage_n into_o the_o chamber_n where_o the_o man_n lay_v and_o through_o a_o trunk_n profane_o utter_v a_o kind_n of_o commission_n to_o go_v to_o a_o certain_a place_n where_o i_o can_v tell_v but_o i_o be_o sure_a as_o the_o story_n go_v out_o of_o his_o house_n to_o who_o his_o little_a victual_n have_v be_v quaker_n shall_v he_o be_v so_o impious_a as_o to_o put_v the_o same_o profane_a abuse_n upon_o he_o suppose_v j._n faldo_n either_o by_o a_o trunk_n or_o hole_n through_o a_o wall_n or_o one_o of_o which_o he_o pretend_v to_o be_v according_a to_o scripture_n i_o say_v with_o what_o will_v he_o relish_v savour_n or_o try_v this_o voice_n will_v he_o reject_v it_o because_o the_o scripture_n do_v and_o not_o to_o deceive_v tempt_v or_o abuse_v he_o it_o be_v true_a the_o scripture_n have_v general_a denial_n to_o false_a spirit_n and_o general_a testimony_n to_o the_o motion_n of_o the_o true_a one_o but_o still_o here_o be_v but_o a_o beg_n of_o the_o question_n for_o how_o shall_v i_o know_v that_o the_o voice_n or_o spirit_n be_v true_a or_o false_a it_o be_v not_o unscriptural_a unreasonable_a nor_o improbable_a alas_o for_o john_n faldo_n have_v all_o his_o preach_v pray_v write_v etc._n etc._n no_o better_o foundation_n then_o hear-say_n imitation_n strong_a fancy_n and_o external_a sense_n can_v he_o not_o savour_n and_o relish_v spirit_n as_o well_o as_o word_n if_o not_o he_o may_v true_o be_v style_v a_o man_n of_o word_n but_o void_a of_o that_o spirit_n which_o theme_n but_o let_v this_o suffice_v to_o detect_v the_o weak_a foundation_n of_o j._n faldo_n faith_n knowledge_n and_o practice_n and_o that_o such_o as_o he_o though_o pretend_o 2_o or_o 3_o degree_n more_o refine_v than_o the_o present_a protestant_n be_v miserable_o apostatise_v from_o the_o first_o revolter_n from_o rome_n idolatry_n who_o assert_v none_o can_v understand_v the_o scripture_n themselves_o much_o less_o benefit_n by_o they_o who_o have_v not_o the_o same_o spirit_n that_o give_v they_o forth_o consequent_o the_o spirit_n and_o not_o the_o scripture_n be_v the_o principal_a cause_n of_o right_a knowledge_n and_o rule_n for_o our_o very_a understanding_n of_o they_o and_o true_o though_o j._n faldo_n will_v have_v the_o world_n think_v he_o both_o understand_v the_o quaker_n principle_n very_o well_o and_o have_v refute_v they_o very_o clear_o yet_o whether_o he_o will_v give_v i_o leave_v or_o no_o i_o will_v make_v he_o speak_v the_o language_n of_o the_o quaker_n pass_v well_o in_o this_o particular_a of_o the_o spirit_n be_v the_o judge_n rule_n and_o guide_n of_o faith_n worship_n and_o conversation_n the_o thing_n aim_v at_o in_o that_o first_o part_n of_o my_o spirit_n of_o truth_n vindicated_n by_o he_o so_o much_o quarrel_v at_o pervert_v and_o scurrilous_o abuse_v or_o else_o i_o great_o mistake_v his_o mind_n and_o which_o will_v be_v much_o to_o my_o defence_n he_o must_v likewise_o have_v do_v so_o himself_o hear_v he_o §_o 16._o but_o mr._n penn_n do_v you_o deal_v fair_o and_o honest_o with_o your_o adversary_n to_o imply_v use_n of_o the_o scripture_n or_o any_o external_n mean_v true_o and_o so_o do_v we_o for_o we_o daily_o enjoy_v the_o benefit_n both_o of_o god_n spirit_n by_o the_o scripture_n and_o public_a worship_n as_o mean_n if_o this_o be_v the_o grindstone_n my_o nose_n be_v to_o be_v hold_v at_o and_o by_o not_o mention_v of_o which_o as_o he_o false_o say_v of_o i_o i_o abuse_v and_o trifle_v he_o and_o my_o unwary_a reader_n i_o be_o content_v to_o abide_v here_o while_o i_o live_v as_o my_o discourse_n at_o large_a upon_o the_o scripture_n must_v needs_o have_v inform_v those_o who_o have_v read_v it_o but_o i_o be_o of_o the_o mind_n that_o j._n faldo_n will_v find_v it_o too_o hot_a for_o he_o and_o i_o be_o assure_v that_o so_o much_o concession_n overturne_v he_o for_o ever_o as_o to_o his_o present_a basis_n for_o that_o he_o shall_v oppose_v my_o discourse_n that_o intend_v nothing_o more_o than_o to_o prove_v god_n spirit_n
