look_v to_o see_v our_o deformity_n as_o it_o be_v the_o revelation_n of_o the_o will_n of_o god_n and_o as_o it_o be_v the_o authoritative_a rule_n for_o our_o conversation_n so_o christ_n do_v not_o deliver_v we_o from_o it_o but_o it_o stand_v in_o force_n in_o all_o these_o five_o respect_n and_o there_o be_v no_o believer_n no_o gracious_a godly_a soul_n that_o do_v account_v the_o law_n a_o burden_n in_o these_o respect_n but_o bless_v god_n for_o the_o law_n and_o they_o account_v it_o their_o inheritance_n and_o the_o joy_n of_o their_o soul_n they_o bless_v god_n that_o ever_o they_o know_v it_o and_o their_o heart_n lie_v under_o the_o power_n of_o it_o and_o they_o be_v willing_a to_o order_v their_o life_n by_o it_o quest_n but_o then_o what_o be_v we_o deliver_v from_o in_o the_o law_n by_o christ_n first_o from_o the_o rigour_n of_o it_o christ_n deliver_v we_o from_o the_o load_n of_o the_o rigour_n of_o it_o from_o this_o rigour_n that_o it_o require_v perfect_a obedience_n so_o far_o we_o be_v deliver_v from_o the_o rigour_n of_o the_o law_n and_o yet_o this_o may_v be_v say_v to_o be_v rigorous_a in_o regard_n of_o our_o weakness_n for_o we_o have_v once_o power_n but_o now_o the_o lord_n do_v take_v off_o the_o rigour_n in_o regard_n of_o our_o weakness_n and_o so_o rigorous_a in_o regard_n of_o the_o violent_a and_o rigorous_a way_n that_o it_o do_v take_v to_o force_v on_o man_n unto_o obedience_n we_o shall_v hear_v how_o we_o be_v deliver_v from_o that_o second_o believer_n be_v deliver_v from_o the_o bondage_n of_o the_o law_n quest_n you_o will_v say_v how_o be_v the_o
affliction_n but_o if_o he_o be_v a_o believer_n and_o have_v the_o exercise_n of_o faith_n than_o all_o affliction_n will_v be_v no_o more_o but_o as_o if_o a_o poor_a woman_n be_v marry_v to_o a_o great_a prince_n and_o have_v all_o the_o noble_n about_o he_o and_o all_o kind_n of_o dainty_n upon_o his_o table_n and_o he_o shall_v hear_v the_o rain_n rattle_v upon_o the_o tile_n that_o be_v in_o the_o windy_a wether_n abroad_o what_o will_v this_o be_v to_o hinder_v the_o rest_n of_o such_o a_o one_o spirit_n the_o truth_n be_v have_v we_o but_o the_o exercise_n of_o faith_n all_o outward_a trouble_n in_o the_o world_n will_v be_v no_o more_o to_o we_o no_o more_o trouble_n than_o this_o be_v if_o thou_o be_v come_v to_o christ_n and_o marry_v to_o he_o and_o come_v to_o sup_v with_o he_o there_o will_v be_v that_o satisfaction_n unto_o thy_o soul_n in_o christ_n that_o all_o outward_a trouble_n will_v be_v no_o more_o at_o all_o than_o the_o rattle_a of_o the_o rain_n upon_o the_o tile_n to_o such_o a_o one_o that_o have_v all_o content_a within_o door_n you_o be_v not_o yet_o acquaint_v with_o such_o bless_a thing_n that_o be_v in_o christ_n who_o be_v trouble_v at_o any_o thing_n in_o the_o world_n certain_o the_o soul_n that_o be_v acquaint_v with_o that_o will_v say_v it_o have_v enough_o let_v what_o will_v become_v of_o my_o estate_n of_o my_o body_n of_o my_o house_n of_o my_o land_n yet_o i_o have_v enough_o in_o christ_n how_o have_v the_o bless_a martyr_n cry_v out_o of_o the_o fullness_n of_o rest_n in_o christ_n i_o remember_v one_o german_a time_n of_o their_o affliction_n their_o vein_n be_v fill_v with_o blood_n and_o bone_n with_o marrow_n all_o the_o capacity_n of_o their_o soul_n be_v fill_v with_o spiritual_a joy_n and_o that_o keep_v out_o affliction_n as_o if_o a_o man_n have_v fill_v his_o belly_n with_o good_a cheer_n and_o especial_o if_o his_o vein_n be_v full_a of_o blood_n and_o bone_n full_a of_o marrow_n he_o can_v bare_a hardness_n the_o better_a so_o when_o the_o soul_n come_v to_o christ_n he_o fill_v the_o vein_n full_a of_o blood_n and_o bone_n full_a of_o marrow_n i_o mean_v thus_o he_o fill_v all_o the_o capacity_n of_o the_o soul_n with_o heavenly_a consolation_n and_o that_o bear_v out_o any_o trouble_n or_o affliction_n whatsoever_o and_o thus_o there_o be_v peace_n and_o rest_n unto_o the_o soul_n profess_v himself_o come_v to_o christ_n to_o be_v trouble_v in_o affliction_n christ_n make_v this_o promise_n that_o if_o he_o come_v to_o he_o he_o shall_v have_v rest_n sure_o either_o thou_o be_v not_o come_v to_o christ_n or_o thou_o have_v not_o exercise_v faith_n in_o christ_n either_o thus_o thou_o charge_v thyself_o for_o one_o not_o come_v to_o christ_n or_o one_o that_o have_v not_o unbelieved_a heart_n let_v it_o fall_v upon_o this_o that_o thou_o do_v not_o renew_v thy_o act_n in_o come_v to_o christ_n for_o it_o be_v not_o mean_v of_o come_v to_o christ_n at_o the_o first_o here_o in_o this_o world_n or_o as_o if_o it_o be_v of_o no_o other_o use_n but_o as_o a_o sun_n dial_n in_o a_o garden_n to_o show_v the_o time_n of_o the_o day_n when_o the_o sun_n shine_v but_o in_o stormy_a cloudy_a weather_n there_o be_v no_o use_n of_o it_o and_o do_v thou_o make_v no_o more_o use_n of_o thy_o faith_n then_o of_o the_o sun_n dyal_a in_o thy_o garden_n to_o show_v thou_o how_o it_o be_v with_o thou_o in_o the_o day_n of_o prosperity_n but_o the_o truth_n of_o thy_o faith_n shall_v be_v a_o dyal_a to_o make_v thou_o know_v how_o it_o be_v between_o god_n and_o thy_o soul_n in_o a_o cloudy_a day_n and_o therefore_o you_o have_v now_o hear_v where_o the_o rest_n in_o regard_n of_o outward_a affliction_n lie_v oh_o do_v you_o repair_v hither_o for_o rest_n you_o vex_v and_o fret_v and_o trouble_v yourselves_o why_o because_o you_o have_v not_o as_o other_o other_o can_v have_v rich_a table_n fine_a house_n and_o accommodation_n and_o all_o thing_n for_o their_o content_n in_o this_o world_n but_o know_v that_o now_o the_o lord_n have_v present_v to_o you_o a_o way_n how_o to_o have_v rest_n to_o your_o soul_n in_o time_n of_o poverty_n labour_n to_o know_v jesus_n christ_n that_o be_v make_v poor_a for_o you_o there_o be_v as_o plain_a a_o way_n for_o you_o to_o come_v to_o christ_n as_o for_o the_o rich_a in_o the_o world_n and_o christ_n will_v be_v as_o ready_a to_o entertain_v you_o as_o the_o rich_a it_o be_v likely_a that_o all_o your_o endeavour_n may_v come_v to_o help_v you_o so_o forward_o as_o to_o make_v you_o rich_a in_o this_o world_n i_o but_o to_o give_v rest_n in_o this_o world_n nothing_o can_v do_v it_o but_o your_o come_n to_o christ_n and_o above_o all_o this_o may_v serve_v to_o help_v we_o to_o lay_v up_o against_o the_o time_n of_o trouble_n that_o however_o thing_n go_v in_o this_o world_n yet_o you_o may_v have_v rest_n to_o your_o soul_n in_o christ_n chap._n xlvii_o show_v that_o believer_n be_v often_o under_o inward_a affliction_n and_o spiritual_a desertion_n i_o shall_v now_o speak_v of_o the_o rest_n that_o christ_n give_v unto_o the_o soul_n in_o regard_n of_o inward_a affliction_n those_o inward_a affliction_n be_v spiritual_a desertion_n that_o be_v when_o the_o lord_n shall_v be_v please_v to_o absent_v himself_o from_o the_o soul_n of_o his_o people_n and_o leave_v they_o in_o such_o darkness_n of_o spirit_n though_o they_o be_v believer_n &_o have_v interest_n in_o christ_n yet_o they_o may_v be_v leave_v for_o a_o time_n by_o god_n so_o as_o their_o spirit_n will_v be_v extreme_o afflict_v with_o sorrow_n and_o fear_v and_o trouble_v because_o of_o god_n absence_n from_o they_o and_o indeed_o there_o be_v no_o affliction_n like_a to_o this_o affliction_n there_o be_v no_o condition_n so_o restless_a as_o this_o condition_n be_v now_o this_o be_v that_o that_o every_o one_o be_v not_o acquaint_v withal_o carnal_a people_n think_v that_o these_o affliction_n be_v only_a conceit_n imagination_n and_o melancholy_a but_o the_o saint_n know_v what_o these_o affliction_n be_v that_o they_o be_v the_o most_o real_a affliction_n in_o the_o world_n these_o spiritual_a desertion_n for_o god_n to_o withdraw_v himself_o from_o his_o people_n we_o read_v of_o such_o a_o affliction_n that_o a_o godly_a man_n be_v
