conjecture_n oh_o into_o what_o a_o gulf_n of_o discomfort_n do_v they_o plunge_v they_o belove_a the_o lord_n in_o the_o book_n of_o deuteronomy_n chap._n 29._o do_v pronounce_v it_o as_o a_o curse_n that_o their_o life_n shall_v hang_v in_o suspense_n it_o be_v a_o great_a curse_n that_o man_n soul_n shall_v hang_v in_o suspense_n that_o man_n shall_v not_o know_v whether_o they_o shall_v be_v save_v or_o damn_v it_o be_v a_o hell_n on_o this_o side_n hell_n and_o therefore_o they_o be_v much_o to_o be_v blame_v that_o hold_v their_o follower_n in_o hand_n with_o a_o peradventure_o they_o shall_v be_v save_v peradventure_o not_o when_o the_o scripture_n be_v so_o clear_a in_o this_o thing_n second_o let_v not_o the_o thought_n either_o of_o the_o impossibility_n or_o the_o difficulty_n of_o attain_v this_o assurance_n discourage_v you_o from_o look_v after_o it_o it_o be_v not_o impossible_a though_o it_o be_v difficult_a indeed_o and_o the_o difficulty_n shall_v be_v so_o far_o from_o discourage_v you_o that_o it_o shall_v quicken_v your_o endeavour_n to_o make_v your_o call_n and_o election_n sure_a three_o see_v assurance_n be_v attainable_a in_o this_o life_n inquire_v into_o the_o cause_n why_o you_o who_o be_v effectual_o call_v have_v not_o attain_v this_o assurance_n before_o now_o and_o this_o put_v i_o upon_o handle_v of_o the_o second_o case_n of_o conscience_n see_v this_o assurance_n be_v attainable_a therefore_o answ_n second_o what_o be_v the_o reason_n that_o many_o christian_n who_o be_v call_v effectual_o by_o jesus_n christ_n do_v live_v in_o many_o doubt_n and_o fear_n about_o their_o effectual_a call_n doubt_n in_o answer_n to_o this_o i_o shall_v lay_v down_o these_o three_o particular_n that_o the_o doubt_n that_o do_v arise_v in_o christian_n about_o their_o call_n they_o flow_v from_o this_o threefold_a fountain_n either_o first_o from_o some_o seem_a defect_n they_o apprehend_v in_o the_o manner_n of_o their_o call_n or_o second_o some_o seem_a defect_n they_o apprehend_v to_o be_v in_o the_o mean_n of_o their_o call_n or_o else_o three_o some_o seem_a defect_n they_o apprehend_v in_o the_o effect_n of_o their_o call_n and_o these_o three_o ground_n be_v the_o rise_n from_o whence_o many_o christian_n effectual_o call_v do_v doubt_n of_o their_o call_n and_o be_v not_o assure_v of_o it_o first_o it_o do_v arise_v from_o some_o seem_a defect_n they_o apprehend_v to_o be_v in_o the_o manner_n of_o their_o call_n they_o say_v i_o be_o not_o call_v in_o such_o a_o manner_n as_o i_o see_v other_o be_v as_o thus_o think_v they_o i_o see_v other_o man_n when_o they_o be_v convert_v that_o their_o humiliation_n be_v great_a i_o see_v that_o they_o have_v horror_n of_o conscience_n that_o they_o be_v wrought_v upon_o by_o the_o terror_n of_o the_o law_n
