be_v far_o worse_a there_o be_v some_o who_o they_o cry_v up_o for_o saint_n and_o martyr_n who_o die_v as_o rebel_n and_o traitor_n against_o their_o prince_n in_o a_o blind_a furious_a zeal_n for_o only_o they_o embrace_v that_o same_o pure_a plain_a christian_a religion_n which_o be_v at_o this_o day_n profess_v with_o we_o and_o be_v therefore_o rather_o to_o be_v reckon_v of_o our_o church_n and_o therefore_o we_o think_v it_o a_o much_o safe_a way_n to_o salvation_n to_o adhere_v to_o the_o ancient_a certain_a truth_n of_o christianity_n every_o where_o receive_v and_o to_o worship_n god_n in_o that_o pure_a and_o holy_a manner_n which_o our_o bless_a saviour_n and_o his_o apostle_n both_o teach_v and_o use_v than_o to_o embrace_v those_o addition_n make_v by_o the_o roman_a church_n which_o be_v no_o part_n of_o true_a and_o save_a religion_n nor_o have_v ever_o be_v so_o account_v by_o the_o generality_n of_o christian_n and_o though_o our_o ancestor_n may_v have_v some_o excuse_n from_o the_o state_n of_o this_o church_n in_o their_o day_n yet_o we_o their_o posterity_n shall_v be_v utter_o inexcusable_a if_o now_o that_o our_o church_n have_v so_o just_o reform_v herself_o from_o popish_a corruption_n we_o shall_v break_v off_o from_o her_o communion_n and_o go_v over_o to_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n that_o hate_v to_o be_v reform_v this_o be_v to_o low-countries_n to_o their_o wit_n end_n which_o if_o it_o be_v so_o one_o will_v wonder_v that_o there_o be_v any_o protestant_a minister_n or_o people_n leave_v in_o those_o country_n and_o that_o they_o be_v not_o all_o long_a since_o drive_v out_o of_o their_o wit_n and_o their_o religion_n into_o popery_n but_o have_v they_o never_o use_v those_o terrible_a argument_n of_o fire_n and_o sword_n prison_n and_o inquisition_n no_o body_n will_v much_o fear_v their_o pregnant_a argument_n difficult_a question_n or_o unanswerable_a proposition_n the_o two_o former_a we_o have_v already_o dispatch_v let_v we_o now_o survey_v the_o last_o in_o which_o i_o be_o apt_a to_o think_v we_o shall_v still_o find_v a_o tedious_a repetition_n of_o many_o the_o same_o thing_n that_o we_o have_v already_o often_o hear_v which_o if_o it_o be_v so_o we_o shall_v more_o brief_o pass_v over_o they_o l._n probably_n you_o will_v find_v it_o so_o however_o i_o think_v we_o shall_v soon_o have_v finish_v if_o you_o please_v to_o give_v the_o answer_n yourself_o to_o these_o his_o proposition_n which_o i_o shall_v exact_o recite_v to_o you_o t._n that_o shall_v be_v as_o you_o will_v but_o i_o hope_v you_o be_v not_o move_v with_o his_o formidable_a title_n of_o unanswerable_a proposition_n l._n i_o have_v no_o reason_n i_o be_o sure_a if_o they_o be_v like_o his_o unanswerable_a question_n be_v we_o concern_v to_o vindicate_v any_o particular_a opinion_n of_o this_o man_n or_o that_o though_o i_o reckon_v the_o doctrine_n of_o both_o as_o to_o the_o substance_n of_o it_o to_o be_v sound_a and_o good_a at_o least_o so_o far_o as_o it_o agree_v with_o that_o of_o our_o church_n which_o only_o we_o be_v oblige_v to_o answer_v for_o and_o easy_o we_o may_v though_o he_o revile_v we_o also_o as_o sectary_n since_o it_o be_v no_o other_o than_o the_o same_o christian_a doctrine_n which_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o gospel_n and_o sum_v up_o in_o the_o creed_n and_o this_o let_v he_o confute_v if_o he_o can_v or_o attempt_v it_o if_o he_o dare_v and_o in_o this_o doctrine_n we_o be_v sure_a both_o the_o apostle_n of_o old_a with_o the_o catholic_n church_n in_o their_o age_n and_o in_o all_o age_n since_o do_v full_o consent_v with_o we_o nor_o be_v it_o any_o new_a doctrine_n that_o our_o reformer_n bring_v in_o no_o but_o whilst_o they_o reject_v popish_a novelty_n ever_o he_o require_v man_n to_o believe_v any_o thing_n direct_o contrary_a to_o the_o evidence_n of_o their_o sense_n to_o believe_v it_o be_v dark_a as_o midnight_n when_o they_o see_v the_o sun_n shine_v at_o noonday_n to_o believe_v the_o same_o man_n to_o lie_v dead_a in_o his_o grave_n who_o they_o see_v alive_a walk_v before_o they_o for_o at_o this_o rate_n all_o our_o saviour_n miracle_n have_v be_v wrought_v in_o vain_a if_o man_n must_v not_o believe_v their_o own_o eye_n as_o we_o use_v to_o say_v for_o we_o must_v consider_v that_o almighty_a god_n have_v so_o frame_v our_o nature_n that_o we_o be_v to_o be_v direct_v and_o guide_v by_o our_o sense_n in_o those_o matter_n that_o proper_o belong_v to_o they_o nor_o can_v we_o i_o think_v in_o this_o present_a state_n have_v more_o clear_a and_o full_a assurance_n of_o any_o thing_n than_o what_o our_o sense_n when_o sound_a and_o perfect_a convey_v to_o we_o and_o therefore_o i_o have_v say_v our_o saviour_n take_v this_o way_n to_o give_v assurance_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o his_o gospel_n and_o of_o his_o resurrection_n by_o that_o satisfaction_n he_o give_v to_o the_o very_a sense_n of_o men._n thus_o st._n john_n when_o he_o will_v give_v the_o clear_a and_o full_a evidence_n of_o the_o truth_n of_o christian_a doctrine_n he_o tell_v we_o that_o which_o we_o have_v hear_v which_o we_o have_v see_v he_o will_v not_o deceive_v i_o in_o his_o word_n why_o may_v i_o not_o from_o the_o same_o goodness_n argue_v that_o he_o will_v not_o deceive_v i_o in_o his_o work_n but_o if_o he_o shall_v do_v it_o in_o the_o latter_a why_o may_v he_o not_o in_o the_o former_a also_o l._n they_o may_v say_v this_o be_v a_o particular_a case_n and_o therefore_o though_o our_o sense_n may_v herein_o be_v mistake_v yet_o we_o have_v no_o reason_n to_o suspect_v they_o at_o other_o time_n t._n a_o particular_a case_n it_o be_v indeed_o and_o such_o as_o nothing_o like_o it_o can_v be_v instance_a in_o nor_o yet_o any_o good_a reason_n assign_v why_o our_o sense_n may_v not_o at_o any_o other_o time_n be_v deceive_v as_o well_o as_o in_o this_o matter_n but_o strange_a of_o all_o it_o be_v that_o we_o have_v no_o warning_n give_v we_o in_o scripture_n not_o to_o trust_v our_o sense_n in_o this_o particular_a case_n though_o in_o all_o other_o we_o may_v nor_o do_v we_o find_v any_o thing_n say_v to_o take_v off_o the_o prejudice_n that_o may_v arise_v in_o man_n mind_n against_o so_o strange_a a_o doctrine_n we_o hear_v of_o no_o objection_n make_v of_o old_a against_o it_o by_o the_o enemy_n of_o christianity_n nor_o of_o any_o answer_n give_v to_o silence_n or_o prevent_v such_o objection_n nay_o on_o the_o contrary_a as_o i_o have_v say_v when_o the_o capernaite_v mistake_v our_o saviour_n meaning_n he_o let_v they_o know_v that_o his_o discourse_n be_v to_o be_v understand_v in_o a_o spiritual_a sense_n joh._n 6._o 63._o thus_o certain_o the_o apostle_n understand_v enquiry_n about_o the_o sense_n and_o meaning_n of_o they_o else_o how_o come_v it_o to_o pass_v that_o we_o never_o find_v the_o least_o mention_n of_o this_o same_o doctrine_n in_o any_o of_o the_o apostle_n sermon_n or_o in_o the_o epistle_n write_v to_o any_o of_o the_o church_n nay_o though_o there_o be_v so_o fair_a a_o occasion_n offer_v to_o st._n paul_n when_o he_o discourse_n about_o the_o lords-supper_n 1_o cor._n 11._o where_o he_o tell_v they_o that_o what_o he_o have_v receive_v of_o the_o lord_n he_o deliver_v to_o they_o but_o he_o be_v there_o so_o far_o from_o explain_v or_o assert_v the_o doctrine_n of_o transubstantiation_n that_o he_o teach_v the_o direct_a contrary_n in_o call_v it_o bread_n over_o and_o over_o after_o consecration_n l._n yet_o i_o have_v hear_v some_o argue_v for_o it_o from_o those_o word_n of_o he_o that_o he_o who_o eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o be_v guilty_a of_o the_o body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n vers._n 27._o now_o say_v they_o how_o can_v this_o be_v so_o heinous_a a_o sin_n if_o the_o natural_a body_n and_o blood_n of_o christ_n be_v not_o present_a in_o the_o sacrament_n t._n for_o that_o let_v the_o apostle_n own_o
