in_o the_o first_o to_o obtain_v a_o way_n to_o salvation_n for_o every_o man_n which_o way_n be_v faith_n be_v no_o more_o than_o to_o say_v christ_n dye_v for_o all_o man_n that_o they_o may_v be_v save_v by_o faith_n and_o do_v not_o the_o second_o branch_n in_o the_o seven_o viz._n and_o for_o the_o elect_n that_o they_o shall_v undoubted_o be_v save_v equalise_v and_o speak_v as_o much_o as_o diruit_fw-la edificat_fw-la mutat_fw-la quadrata_fw-la rotundis_fw-la thus_o i_o have_v examine_v the_o last_o state_n give_v and_o receive_v by_o he_o in_o comparison_n with_o the_o former_a which_o he_o neglect_v and_o i_o can_v see_v no_o cause_n why_o the_o last_o shall_v be_v entertain_v when_o several_a other_o be_v reject_v three_o let_v we_o see_v this_o state_n which_o he_o so_o eager_o four_o cirumstance_n by_o the_o manner_n of_o pray_v enjoin_v viz._n without_o wrath_n and_o doubt_v this_o be_v not_o incident_a to_o believer_n in_o pray_v one_o for_o another_o as_o when_o they_o think_v of_o they_o that_o have_v wrong_v they_o but_o believer_n pray_v one_o for_o a_o other_o be_v in_o a_o sweet_a manner_n that_o which_o he_o seem_v to_o drive_v at_o in_o these_o word_n be_v this_o that_o the_o apostle_n will_v have_v we_o pray_v for_o other_o beside_o believer_n but_o this_o no_o man_n deni_v it_o be_v never_o our_o assertion_n that_o we_o shall_v pray_v only_o for_o beleiver_n but_o that_o which_o we_o question_v be_v whether_o the_o apostle_n command_v we_o to_o pray_v for_o every_o individual_a son_n of_o adam_n and_o this_o manner_n of_o pray_v without_o wrath_n and_o doubt_v evince_v it_o not_o for_o even_o among_o believer_n there_o may_v be_v quarrel_n and_o dissension_n by_o reason_n of_o which_o he_o may_v bid_v they_o pray_v one_o for_o another_o without_o wrath_n or_o doubt_v but_o however_o this_o be_v far_o from_o prove_v that_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o every_o son_n of_o adam_n for_o if_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v but_o for_o some_o unconvert_v and_o enemy_n it_o be_v requisite_a that_o we_o pray_v without_o wrath_n or_o doubt_v because_o wrath_n and_o doubt_v be_v as_o incident_a to_o we_o pray_v for_o some_o as_o for_o all_o so_o that_o those_o some_o be_v enemy_n to_o we_o but_o again_o by_o wrath_n and_o doubt_v it_o may_v be_v question_v whether_o they_o be_v refer_v to_o god_n that_o be_v without_o wrath_n a_o foolish_a charge_v of_o god_n if_o he_o defer_v to_o hear_v we_o and_o doubt_v of_o his_o faithfulness_n or_o power_n to_o help_v we_o and_o if_o thus_o this_o be_v not_o only_o requisite_a for_o believer_n pray_v one_o for_o another_o but_o to_o be_v a_o ingredient_n in_o all_o their_o prayer_n of_o what_o nature_n soever_o the_o five_o circumstance_n by_o the_o thing_n pray_v for_o viz._n that_o god_n will_v order_v their_o heart_n that_o we_o believer_n may_v lead_v quiet_a and_o godly_a life_n but_o thing_n to_o be_v pray_v for_o beleiver_n be_v of_o a_o high_a nature_n john_n 17.9.21_o herein_o also_o he_o bend_v his_o force_n to_o prove_v that_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o unbeleiver_n which_o be_v not_o the_o thing_n in_o hand_n but_o this_o be_v so_o empty_a that_o it_o be_v so_o far_o from_o prove_v that_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o every_o individual_a son_n of_o adam_n that_o it_o do_v not_o urge_v a_o necessity_n of_o pray_v for_o any_o more_o than_o believer_n for_o the_o thing_n pray_v for_o be_v as_o sureable_a for_o beleiver_n as_o unbeleiver_n that_o their_o heart_n shall_v be_v so_o direct_v that_o they_o under_o they_o may_v lead_v quiet_a and_o godly_a life_n david_n and_o solomon_n and_o other_o believe_a king_n pray_v for_o it_o psal_n 72.1_o 2_o 3_o 4._o second_o whereas_o the_o apostle_n say_v that_o we_o he_o make_v not_o a_o distinction_n betwixt_o beleiver_n and_o unbeleiver_n as_o if_o the_o sense_n be_v thus_o pray_v for_o unbelieved_a king_n that_o we_o believer_n may_v live_v etc._n etc._n but_o it_o relate_v to_o their_o place_n of_o subjection_n in_o that_o body_n politic_a and_o so_o that_o we_o who_o be_v under_o they_o may_v lead_v godly_a life_n for_o thus_o must_v beleiver_n pray_v when_o yet_o they_o be_v under_o beleive_a prince_n beside_o from_o the_o matter_n pray_v for_o it_o appear_v not_o that_o by_o all_o man_n be_v mean_v every_o son_n of_o adam_n because_o every_o son_n of_o adam_n have_v not_o a_o influence_n into_o the_o godly_a and_o quiet_a life_n of_o any_o state_n or_o any_o beleiver_n in_o any_o state_n or_o government_n the_o six_o circumstance_n by_o the_o manner_n of_o mention_v they_o that_o be_v to_o be_v pray_v for_o all_o man_n king_n man_n in_o authority_n of_o which_o very_o few_o beleiver_n etc._n etc._n the_o author_n must_v know_v that_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o king_n not_o as_o believer_n or_o unbeleiver_n but_o as_o king_n as_o they_o be_v in_o eminent_a place_n and_o rule_v and_o so_o have_v a_o influence_n in_o our_o holy_a life_n whether_o believer_n or_o unbeliever_n beside_o he_o can_v infer_v hence_o but_o this_o that_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o unbeleive_v king_n but_o this_o prove_v not_o that_o we_o be_v to_o pray_v for_o every_o son_n of_o adam_n yet_o he_o confident_o conclude_v it_o of_o his_o side_n but_o it_o be_v his_o boldness_n that_o presume_v not_o his_o reason_n that_o prove_v he_o have_v produce_v many_o circumstance_n but_o yet_o they_o be_v so_o rude_o apply_v to_o this_o business_n that_o the_o expression_n spend_v about_o they_o can_v but_o be_v tedious_a to_o the_o intelligent_a because_o they_o have_v not_o the_o least_o show_n of_o reason_n to_o prove_v that_o the_o all_o man_n mention_v either_o in_o the_o 1.4_o or_o 6._o verse_n do_v take_v in_o all_o adam_n son_n have_v speak_v of_o the_o sense_n of_o the_o word_n themselves_o the_o circumstance_n that_o attend_v they_o he_o come_v to_o the_o three_o sort_n and_o rank_n of_o proof_n and_o that_o be_v from_o the_o scope_n of_o the_o text_n and_o he_o thus_o speak_v from_o the_o 1._o to_o the_o 8_o verse_n no_o further_a thing_n be_v mention_v but_o what_o belong_v to_o all_o man_n to_o hear_v and_o what_o christ_n have_v do_v for_o all_o and_o what_o we_o be_v indebt_v to_o all_o man_n rom._n 5.14.15.16_o phil._n 2.15.16_o mat._n 5.44_o and_o this_o i_o conclude_v from_o page_n 61._o be_v the_o scope_n of_o the_o text_n which_o he_o hint_n of_o but_o let_v the_o reader_n well_o observe_v the_o vanity_n of_o this_o last_o will_v seem_v as_o great_a as_o the_o former_a for_o the_o business_n that_o he_o be_v but_o that_o i_o fear_v upon_o examination_n will_v want_v weight_n therefore_o it_o be_v as_o good_a to_o speak_v that_o which_o be_v impertinent_a as_o that_o which_o be_v to_o the_o purpose_n and_o not_o be_v able_a to_o prove_v it_o and_o if_o he_o have_v say_v so_o let_v we_o view_v the_o method_n of_o this_o new_a disputer_n his_o affirmative_a be_v that_o christ_n give_v himself_o a_o man_n extend_v to_o every_o individual_a for_o than_o it_o must_v follow_v that_o to_o say_v christ_n give_v himself_o a_o ransom_n for_o every_o individual_a man_n be_v gospel_n but_o where_o prove_v he_o that_o i_o know_v he_o will_v say_v from_o this_o text_n of_o 1_o tim._n 2.6_o still_o all_o must_v come_v to_o that_o issue_n it_o be_v gospel_n because_o 1_o tim._n 2.6_o so_o say_v and_o that_o text_n say_v so_o because_o it_o contain_v the_o gospel_n and_o this_o be_v still_o like_o the_o author_n reason_v 2._o it_o be_v lay_v down_o as_o a_o ground_n of_o pray_v for_o all_o man_n true_o and_o so_o we_o grant_v that_o christ_n give_v himself_o a_o ransom_n for_o all_o and_o what_o be_v he_o better_a he_o leave_v the_o question_n untouched_a in_o all_o this_o large_a discourse_n he_o prove_v not_o yet_o this_o text_n command_v we_o to_o pray_v for_o every_o individual_a son_n of_o adam_n but_o grant_v it_o yet_o it_o
that_o his_o mission_n in_o mat_n 15_o 24._o do_v not_o exclude_v his_o death_n and_o ransom_n give_v it_o mention_v nothing_o but_o stand_v as_o indifferent_a to_o receive_v any_o thing_n that_o he_o do_v as_o part_v of_o his_o ministration_n here_o on_o earth_n of_o which_o his_o die_a be_v a_o part_n and_o the_o chief_a part_n and_o all_o thing_n else_o in_o reference_n to_o it_o mat._n 20.28_o to_o minister_v and_o to_o give_v his_o life_n a_o ransom_n for_o many_o therefore_o for_o he_o to_o say_v not_o to_o die_v but_o to_o minister_v to_o be_v weak_a and_o frothy_a and_o his_o oppose_v stranger_n and_o alien_n and_o be_v not_o the_o receive_n of_o the_o gentile_n a_o thing_n new_a to_o the_o apostle_n acts._n 10._o therefore_o there_o be_v great_a reason_n such_o general_a word_n shall_v be_v use_v which_o may_v inform_v the_o jew_n and_o encourage_v the_o gentile_n and_o they_o that_o go_v to_o preach_v to_o they_o as_o it_o do_v to_o peter_n to_o go_v to_o cornelius_n and_o
