get_v such_o a_o testimony_n from_o the_o spirit_n before_o they_o labour_v to_o get_v such_o a_o testimony_n to_o christ_n and_o echo_n or_o answer_v in_o their_o heart_n to_o his_o word_n this_o way_n it_o seem_v short_a for_o it_o will_v leap_v into_o the_o great_a liberty_n at_o the_o first_o hand_n but_o certain_o its_o far_a about_o because_o its_o impossible_a for_o soul_n to_o leap_v immediate_o out_o of_o bondage_n to_o assurance_n without_o some_o middle_a step_n they_o can_v pass_v thus_o from_o extreme_n to_o extreme_n without_o go_v through_o the_o middle_a stâ—te_n of_o receive_v christ_n and_o lay_v his_o word_n up_o in_o the_o heart_n and_o therefore_o it_o prove_v the_o way_n further_a about_o because_o when_o soul_n have_v long_o weary_v themselves_o they_o must_v at_o length_n turn_v in_o hither_o but_o there_o be_v another_o work_n of_o the_o spirit_n i_o wish_v you_o be_v acquaint_v with_o as_o the_o first_o work_n be_v to_o beget_v a_o suitable_a apprehension_n of_o god_n mind_n and_o heart_n towards_o sinner_n so_o the_o next_o be_v to_o beget_v a_o suitable_a disposition_n in_o our_o heart_n towards_o god_n as_o a_o father_n the_o first_o apprehend_v his_o love_n the_o next_o reflect_v it_o back_o again_o with_o the_o heart_n of_o a_o sinner_n to_o he_o the_o spirit_n first_o bring_v the_o report_n of_o the_o love_n and_o grace_n of_o god_n to_o we_o and_o then_o he_o carry_v the_o love_n and_o respect_n of_o the_o heart_n up_o to_o god_n you_o know_v how_o god_n complain_v in_o mâ—lachi_n if_o i_o be_v a_o father_n where_o be_v my_o fear_n and_o honour_n â—or_a these_o be_v the_o only_a fit_a qualification_n of_o child_n such_o a_o reverend_a respective_a observance_n of_o our_o heavenly_a father_n such_o affectionate_a and_o humble_a carriage_n towards_o he_o as_o become_v both_o his_o majesty_n and_o his_o love_n as_o these_o be_v temper_v one_o with_o another_o in_o he_o his_o love_n not_o abase_v his_o majesty_n and_o his_o majesty_n not_o diminish_v his_o love_n so_o we_o ought_v to_o carry_v as_o reverence_n and_o confidence_n fear_n and_o love_n may_v be_v contemper_v one_o with_o another_o so_o as_o we_o may_v neither_o forget_v his_o infinite_a greatness_n nor_o doubt_n of_o his_o unspeakable_a love_n and_o this_o inward_a disposition_n engrave_v on_o the_o heart_n will_v be_v the_o principle_n of_o willing_a and_o ready_a obedience_n it_o will_v in_o some_o measure_n be_v our_o meat_n and_o drink_n to_o do_v our_o father_n will_n for_o christ_n give_v we_o a_o example_n how_o we_o shall_v carry_v towards_o he_o how_o humble_a and_o obedient_a be_v he_o though_o his_o only_o beget_v son_n sermon_n thirty-nine_o rom._n 8.15_o whereby_o we_o cry_v abba_n father_n as_o there_o be_v a_o light_n of_o grace_n in_o bestow_v such_o incomparable_o high_a dignity_n and_o excellent_a gift_n on_o poor_a sinner_n such_o as_o to_o make_v they_o the_o son_n of_o god_n who_o be_v the_o child_n clear_o appear_v what_o we_o shall_v be_v by_o what_o we_o be_v 1_o joh._n 3.1_o our_o present_a condition_n be_v so_o unlike_o such_o a_o state_n and_o dignity_n and_o our_o enjoyment_n so_o unsuitable_a to_o our_o right_n and_o privilege_n that_o it_o will_v not_o appear_v by_o the_o mean_a low_a and_o indigent_a state_n we_o be_v now_o into_o that_o we_o have_v so_o great_a and_o glorious_a a_o father_n how_o many_o infirmity_n be_v we_o compass_v about_o with_o how_o many_o want_n be_v we_o press_v withal_o our_o necessity_n aâ—e_n infinite_a and_o our_o enjoyment_n no_o way_n proportion_v to_o our_o necessity_n notwithstanding_o even_o in_o this_o the_o love_n and_o wisdom_n oâ—_n our_o heavenly_a father_n show_v itself_o and_o oftentimes_o more_o glorious_o in_o the_o theatre_n of_o man_n weakness_n infirmity_n and_o want_n than_o they_o can_v appear_v in_o the_o absolute_a and_o total_a exemption_n
