that_o god_n have_v give_v of_o his_o son_n now_o what_o be_v the_o record_n that_o god_n have_v give_v of_o his_o son_n verse_n 11._o this_o be_v the_o record_n that_o god_n have_v give_v to_o we_o eternal_a life_n and_o this_o life_n be_v in_o his_o son_n here_o be_v the_o record_n that_o god_n from_o heaven_n do_v hold_v forth_o in_o the_o gospel_n here_o be_v eternal_a life_n and_o how_o do_v we_o by_o unbelief_n make_v god_n a_o liar_n answer_n how_o brief_o thus_o when_o a_o soul_n go_v on_o notwithstanding_o god_n hold_v forth_o this_o record_n that_o here_o be_v eternal_a life_n to_o be_v have_v by_o believe_v on_o christ_n this_o be_v the_o great_a truth_n that_o god_n do_v bear_v witness_n to_o in_o the_o gospel_n now_o when_o people_n do_v no_o more_o regard_v this_o so_o great_a truth_n though_o it_o be_v daily_o hold_v forth_o to_o they_o yet_o they_o regard_v it_o no_o more_o than_o they_o do_v the_o word_n of_o one_o that_o they_o know_v to_o be_v a_o be_v a_o lie_n let_v god_n say_v what_o he_o will_v i_o will_v not_o believe_v a_o word_n of_o it_o but_o we_o will_v look_v for_o salvation_n another_o way_n we_o will_v shift_v for_o ourselves_o as_o well_o as_o we_o can_v by_o our_o own_o duty_n and_o service_n we_o will_v find_v the_o life_n in_o our_o own_o hand_n so_o long_o as_o any_o poor_a soul_n go_v on_o in_o a_o course_n of_o unbelief_n he_o go_v on_o continual_o to_o say_v that_o god_n be_v a_o liar_n o_o brethren_n will_v it_o not_o make_v your_o ear_n tingle_v and_o your_o heart_n ache_v to_o hear_v a_o man_n go_v up_o and_o down_o the_o street_n say_v god_n be_v a_o liar_n i_o will_v not_o believe_v one_o word_n that_o he_o say_v you_o will_v say_v if_o the_o man_n be_v in_o his_o wit_n it_o be_v pity_n that_o he_o be_v suffer_v to_o live_v thus_o to_o blaspheme_v the_o true_a god_n why_o true_o this_o be_v the_o case_n and_o course_n of_o every_o one_o that_o live_v under_o the_o gospel_n under_o this_o record_n that_o god_n do_v bear_v concern_v jesus_n christ_n and_o eternal_a life_n to_o be_v have_v in_o he_o and_o yet_o they_o go_v on_o in_o a_o course_n and_o state_n of_o unbelief_n and_o make_v nothing_o of_o all_o this_o they_o do_v proclaim_v and_o say_v that_o god_n be_v a_o liar_n and_o i_o do_v not_o believe_v one_o word_n that_o he_o say_v what_o desperate_a and_o horrible_a blasphemy_n be_v this_o it_o may_v be_v you_o make_v no_o great_a matter_n of_o this_o but_o notwithstanding_o thus_o it_o be_v the_o holy_a ghost_n say_v he_o that_o believe_v not_o the_o record_n gospel_n and_o offer_v pardon_n and_o reconciliation_n and_o peace_n and_o life_n and_o salvation_n who_o be_v they_o a_o company_n of_o poor_a condemn_a creature_n that_o be_v under_o the_o sentence_n of_o eternal_a death_n and_o condemnation_n poor_a hopeless_a and_o helpless_a undo_v creature_n we_o be_v all_o under_o a_o sentence_n of_o eternal_a death_n continual_o so_o long_o as_o we_o be_v in_o a_o state_n of_o unbelief_n the_o soul_n that_o sin_v it_o shall_v die_v god_n have_v pronounce_v this_o sentence_n upon_o every_o sinner_n head_n now_o that_o god_n shall_v offer_v that_o have_v drink_v of_o the_o spirit_n have_v not_o the_o full_a perfection_n of_o it_o at_o once_o but_o may_v desire_v more_o yet_o notwithstanding_o he_o have_v so_o much_o as_o he_o shall_v never_o be_v dry_a again_o that_o be_v whole_o destitute_a but_o shall_v grow_v up_o and_o increase_v and_o spring_n and_o let_v i_o add_v only_o a_o three_o thing_n answer_v 3_o you_o will_v say_v the_o saint_n have_v not_o a_o full_a draught_n and_o full_a supply_n because_o they_o complain_v i_o answer_v that_o though_o here_o they_o be_v in_o a_o state_n of_o imperfection_n and_o stand_v shall_v invite_v a_o poor_a man_n to_o his_o table_n and_o he_o come_v be_v invite_v will_v you_o say_v this_o be_v presumption_n when_o he_o speak_v to_o he_o himself_o and_o if_o he_o shall_v not_o come_v it_o be_v rather_o a_o slight_n and_o despise_v his_o favour_n and_o love_n why_o jesus_n christ_n hold_v forth_o a_o free_a invitation_n tender_v it_o and_o promise_v it_o to_o any_o one_o soul_n that_o will_v come_v unto_o he_o upon_o his_o invitation_n and_o therefore_o let_v nothing_o stave_v thou_o off_o see_v he_o have_v make_v a_o full_a and_o free_a invitation_n unto_o every_o not_o to_o i_o jesus_n christ_n do_v not_o invite_v i_o answer_n i_o say_v let_v not_o this_o impediment_n lie_v in_o thy_o way_n because_o we_o have_v no_o strength_n or_o ability_n to_o do_v or_o to_o please_v or_o to_o serve_v he_o in_o any_o way_n why_o alas_o do_v you_o think_v now_o that_o jesus_n christ_n call_v for_o any_o price_n invite_v people_n and_o then_o they_o must_v bring_v money_n in_o their_o hand_n no_o brethren_n you_o be_v much_o mistake_v jesus_n christ_n do_v invite_v to_o come_v without_o money_n or_o without_o any_o price_n whoever_o you_o be_v though_o you_o be_v never_o so_o weak_a and_o unable_a to_o perform_v any_o duty_n or_o service_n and_o never_o do_v any_o thing_n for_o the_o lord_n yet_o you_o shall_v come_v and_o brethren_n the_o more_o unfit_a we_o be_v in_o ourselves_o and_o the_o less_o we_o have_v of_o ourselves_o and_o the_o more_o sensible_a we_o be_v of_o our_o own_o
clear_n of_o this_o do_v you_o not_o think_v that_o jesus_n christ_n say_v true_a or_o that_o he_o be_v to_o be_v believe_v in_o what_o he_o speak_v never_o a_o one_o sure_o but_o will_v say_v that_o jesus_n christ_n be_v to_o be_v believe_v and_o that_o they_o do_v believe_v that_o he_o speak_v truth_n why_o then_o jesus_n christ_n invitation_n be_v to_o every_o one_o in_o this_o congregation_n to_o come_v unto_o he_o and_o therefore_o why_o shall_v any_o stand_v back_o and_o hold_v off_o from_o come_v unto_o christ_n if_o the_o lord_n will_v persuade_v your_o heart_n to_o come_v unto_o christ_n it_o will_v be_v the_o happy_a day_n that_o ever_o your_o eye_n see_v in_o this_o world_n if_o the_o lord_n will_v persuade_v your_o heart_n hereto_o you_o shall_v find_v that_o jesus_n christ_n will_v be_v as_o good_a as_o his_o word_n that_o you_o shall_v drink_v of_o this_o water_n of_o life_n and_o partake_v of_o it_o for_o ever_o and_o ever_o and_o shall_v never_o see_v death_n
