thing_n be_v utter_o false_a 2._o this_o testimony_n we_o have_v often_o give_v concern_v the_o scripture_n and_o here_o again_o i_o give_v it_o upon_o this_o occasion_n the_o scripture_n be_v write_n in_o which_o be_v contain_v many_o word_n of_o god_n and_o may_v be_v proper_o call_v the_o word_n of_o god_n declare_v by_o writing_n and_o as_o they_o be_v give_v forth_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o no_o whit_n alter_v in_o translation_n they_o be_v a_o perfect_a testimony_n of_o god_n and_o his_o work_n of_o christ_n and_o his_o salvation_n and_o of_o the_o experience_n and_o testimony_n of_o the_o servant_n and_o holy_a man_n of_o god_n and_o also_o in_o the_o scripture_n be_v contain_v many_o word_n of_o the_o devil_n and_o the_o word_n of_o wicked_a man_n so_o that_o the_o scripture_n be_v a_o true_a testimony_n as_o they_o be_v first_o give_v forth_o of_o all_o these_o thing_n and_o we_o believe_v that_o the_o scripture_n be_v speak_v forth_o by_o the_o holy_a spirit_n as_o the_o holy_a man_n of_o god_n be_v move_v thereunto_o and_o whatsoever_o be_v write_v aught_o to_o be_v believe_v and_o receive_v for_o truth_n and_o a_o true_a relation_n give_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n but_o the_o scripture_n can_v proper_o be_v call_v the_o word_n of_o god_n for_o they_o be_v word_n and_o write_n and_o admit_v of_o alteration_n and_o change_n and_o therefore_o can_v proper_o be_v call_v the_o word_n of_o god_n but_o only_o a_o declaration_n of_o the_o word_n and_o of_o that_o truth_n which_o live_v and_o abide_v for_o ever_o and_o which_o must_v be_v believe_v and_o practise_v for_o salvation_n and_o the_o scripture_n do_v say_v that_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v in_o the_o beginning_n but_o the_o scripture_n begin_v but_o to_o be_v write_v by_o moses_n which_o be_v many_o hundred_o of_o year_n since_o the_o beginning_n and_o therefore_o the_o scripture_n can_v be_v the_o word_n of_o god_n which_o be_v in_o the_o beginning_n again_o of_o eternal_a life_n he_o and_o no_o other_o and_o yet_o this_o confession_n we_o make_v not_o contrary_a unto_o or_o to_o oppose_v but_o according_a unto_o the_o scripture_n and_o our_o testimony_n concern_v the_o scripture_n be_v so_o well_o know_v both_o by_o word_n and_o writing_n for_o these_o many_o year_n that_o i_o need_v not_o here_o say_v much_o more_o in_o this_o case_n only_o that_o turn_v away_o their_o mind_n from_o the_o scripture_n and_o he_o mention_n that_o scripture_n the_o word_n of_o the_o lord_n and_o every_o word_n of_o god_n be_v pure_a and_o the_o entrance_n of_o infallible_a teacher_n and_o that_o it_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o not_o the_o scripture_n now_o i_o shall_v proceed_v to_o j._n w._n his_o proof_n that_o the_o scripture_n be_v a_o infallible_a teacher_n of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o salvation_n etc._n etc._n to_o which_o i_o answer_v this_o be_v a_o false_a assertion_n for_o first_o the_o scripture_n as_o he_o have_v confess_v be_v subject_a to_o change_v and_o alteration_n and_o that_o which_o be_v so_o be_v not_o infallible_a for_o that_o only_o be_v infallible_a which_o admit_v of_o no_o change_n nor_o alteration_n but_o such_o be_v not_o the_o scripture_n the_o write_n and_o therefore_o not_o infallible_a though_o it_o be_v always_o acknowledge_v the_o truth_n and_o way_n of_o salvation_n declare_v in_o the_o scripture_n be_v infallible_a second_o this_o assertion_n seem_v absolute_o to_o deny_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o its_o teach_n which_o be_v give_v in_o the_o new_a covenant_n unto_o all_o we_o say_v that_o its_o the_o spirit_n that_o work_v all_o thing_n in_o order_n to_o man_n salvation_n god_n work_v in_o we_o to_o will_v and_o to_o do_v all_o good_a thing_n by_o his_o spirit_n
