great_a encouragement_n where_o we_o make_v our_o great_a fear_n viz._n from_o the_o strength_n and_o height_n and_o flourish_v of_o our_o enemy_n when_o they_o carry_v all_o before_o they_o yet_o fear_v they_o not_o 2._o fear_v not_o they_o that_o can_v kill_v the_o body_n in_o regard_n of_o the_o body_n which_o they_o can_v kill_v they_o can_v reach_v no_o far_o than_o the_o body_n and_o what_o be_v the_o body_n 1._o that_o be_v but_o a_o poor_a outside_n a_o shadow_n it_o be_v but_o as_o the_o crack_n of_o a_o shell_n to_o kill_v the_o body_n 2._o the_o body_n be_v a_o perish_a thing_n that_o will_v soon_o die_v of_o itself_o if_o none_o shall_v take_v a_o sword_n against_o it_o it_o will_v soon_o die_v and_o moulder_v it_o will_v fall_v of_o itself_o like_o the_o fruit_n of_o a_o tree_n let_v it_o but_o alone_o till_o it_o come_v to_o be_v ripe_a and_o you_o need_v not_o shake_v it_o the_o fruit_n will_v drop_v and_o fall_v of_o themselves_o therefore_o fear_v not_o they_o that_o can_v kill_v the_o body_n they_o kill_v but_o a_o dead_a man_n cut_v down_o a_o little_a grass_n like_o ionas_n gourd_n up_o in_o a_o night_n and_o go_v in_o a_o night_n 3._o fear_v they_o not_o for_o they_o kill_v but_o the_o body_n and_o that_o be_v not_o that_o which_o be_v to_o enter_v into_o glory_n this_o body_n be_v to_o turn_v to_o dust_n this_o flesh_n and_o blood_n which_o you_o see_v be_v not_o to_o inherit_v the_o kingdom_n this_o corruptible_a must_v put_v on_o incorruption_n this_o corn_n must_v die_v before_o it_o shall_v bring_v forth_o that_o body_n which_o be_v to_o abide_v god_n give_v to_o every_o seed_n his_o own_o body_n as_o it_o please_v he_o he_o will_v give_v a_o body_n but_o not_o this_o body_n this_o flesh_n and_o blood_n which_o be_v sow_o in_o corruption_n therefore_o fear_v not_o they_o that_o can_v kill_v the_o body_n and_o i_o can_v wish_v that_o always_o in_o all_o our_o fear_n and_o threaten_n from_o man_n these_o seven_o consideration_n may_v stick_v by_o we_o to_o keep_v we_o up_o from_o fear_v both_o in_o respect_n of_o the_o man_n themselves_o and_o also_o the_o body_n that_o only_o be_v in_o their_o power_n to_o kill_v alas_o it_o be_v but_o a_o poor_a cask_n when_o they_o have_v do_v their_o worst_a that_o they_o can_v touch_v that_o which_o will_v soon_o die_v alone_o and_o save_v the_o labour_n of_o be_v kill_v and_o shall_v it_o hold_v out_o never_o so_o long_o yet_o this_o be_v not_o it_o that_o be_v to_o enter_v into_o glory_n it_o must_v break_v and_o go_v to_o the_o grave_n at_o the_o last_o earth_n must_v go_v to_o earth_n corruption_n can_v inherit_v incorruption_n no_o unclean_a thing_n must_v enter_v into_o that_o city_n and_o this_o be_v a_o unclean_a house_n a_o body_n of_o death_n and_o sin_n in_o my_o body_n say_v paul_n i_o find_v no_o good_a thing_n but_o a_o law_n of_o sin_n in_o my_o member_n rebel_a against_o the_o law_n of_o my_o mind_n and_o that_o must_v die_v and_o not_o enter_v into_o life_n and_o thus_o far_o you_o hear_v the_o negative_a open_v what_o you_o be_v not_o to_o fear_v fear_v not_o they_o that_o kill_v the_o body_n etc._n etc._n and_o how_o have_v most_o of_o our_o day_n hitherto_o be_v spend_v about_o this_o body_n and_o how_o be_v the_o world_n all_o of_o they_o lose_v and_o drown_v in_o caring_n and_o providing_n about_o this_o what_o to_o eat_v and_o what_o to_o drink_v and_o what_o to_o put_v on_o we_o have_v be_v more_o foolish_a in_o this_o than_o the_o lily_n and_o sparrow_n and_o raven_n they_o take_v not_o these_o cut_n and_o perplex_v care_n and_o yet_o they_o be_v preserve_v and_o provide_v for_o and_o what_o have_v all_o our_o caring_n bring_v about_o to_o we_o but_o sorrow_n and_o misery_n they_o have_v not_o add_v the_o least_o cubit_n to_o our_o stature_n but_o now_o we_o come_v to_o the_o four_o thing_n 4._o who_o then_o be_v to_o be_v fear_v fear_v he_o that_o can_v destroy_v both_o soul_n and_o body_n in_o destroy_v the_o soul_n by_o withdraw_v the_o sap_n which_o shall_v maintain_v it_o when_o god_n give_v up_o the_o soul_n to_o itself_o and_o leave_v strive_v and_o motion_v and_o knock_v this_o be_v man_n shall_v not_o believe_v though_o it_o be_v tell_v he_o i_o will_v destroy_v the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o wise_a and_o again_o in_o hear_v they_o shall_v hear_v and_o not_o perceive_v and_o in_o see_v they_o shall_v not_o see_v because_o a_o deceive_a heart_n have_v turn_v they_o aside_o give_v up_o to_o believe_v lie_n etc._n etc._n 3._o another_o way_n of_o destroy_v the_o soul_n be_v by_o leave_v it_o alone_o out_o of_o the_o nursery_n out_o of_o the_o heart_n and_o care_n of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n that_o there_o be_v none_o to_o take_v it_o in_o none_o to_o look_v over_o it_o deceit_n the_o man_n be_v mould_v and_o change_v into_o the_o very_a image_n of_o the_o devil_n i_o have_v know_v some_o man_n so_o whole_o drink_v up_o of_o the_o devil_n that_o no_o reason_n nor_o for_o the_o soul_n pray_v no_o more_o for_o this_o people_n when_o god_n will_v by_o no_o mean_n be_v entreat_v to_o have_v mercy_n this_o be_v sad_a and_o last_o to_o be_v whole_o leave_v and_o so_o shut_v out_o and_o exclude_v as_o they_o can_v turn_v any_o way_n to_o get_v to_o he_o and_o know_v not_o whether_o ever_o they_o shall_v be_v bring_v to_o see_v the_o king_n face_n or_o not_o whether_o they_o shall_v be_v so_o far_o favour_v or_o not_o i_o say_v the_o feel_a sense_n of_o this_o exclusion_n from_o god_n be_v the_o first_o degree_n of_o hell_n and_o this_o god_n can_v soon_o do_v he_o can_v soon_o awake_a and_o rouse_v and_o open_v how_o the_o case_n stand_v with_o the_o soul_n that_o it_o may_v cry_v out_o with_o cain_n my_o punishment_n be_v great_a than_o i_o can_v bear_v there_o be_v many_o in_o the_o world_n be_v they_o but_o bring_v to_o a_o strait_a to_o know_v their_o condition_n will_v be_v find_v here_o in_o cain_n case_n shut_v out_o from_o the_o
