spirit_n of_o god_n keep_v they_o not_o in_o a_o holy_a fear_n therefore_o in_o the_o midst_n of_o these_o difference_n say_v there_o be_v a_o seem_a believer_n a_o seem_a church_n a_o seem_a professor_n and_o such_o common_o for_o some_o corrupt_a end_n or_o other_o make_v a_o breach_n in_o christ_n body_n 3._o there_o be_v a_o unity_n in_o fundamental_o or_o essential_o and_o a_o unity_n in_o circumstantial_o or_o less_o principal_n now_o as_o when_o god_n have_v promise_v and_o christ_n pray_v for_o the_o sanctification_n of_o his_o people_n hereby_o they_o be_v see_v to_o have_v so_o much_o grace_n as_o shall_v certain_o bring_v they_o to_o heaven_n for_o though_o they_o have_v not_o all_o the_o degree_n of_o grace_n and_o neither_o be_v free_v from_o all_o sin_n yet_o they_o be_v consider_v that_o the_o unity_n which_o christ_n commend_v and_o pray_v for_o be_v original_o from_o christ_n and_o terminate_v in_o he_o and_o afterward_o in_o those_o thing_n that_o be_v he_o his_o truth_n his_o way_n his_o command_n so_o that_o whatsoever_o unity_n do_v not_o begin_v there_o and_o afterward_o diffuse_v itself_o to_o those_o thing_n be_v a_o sinful_a and_o wicked_a unity_n the_o devil_n have_v unity_n in_o his_o kingdom_n all_o the_o devil_n though_o full_a of_o malice_n and_o envy_n to_o man_n yet_o agree_v in_o their_o wickedness_n though_o one_o wicked_a man_n may_v shame_n and_o mourning_n for_o 1._o it_o be_v not_o terminate_v on_o christ_n they_o be_v not_o first_o unite_v to_o the_o true_a head_n this_o oil_n be_v not_o first_o on_o aaron_n head_n but_o they_o be_v of_o the_o devil_n who_o do_v move_v and_o reign_v in_o their_o heart_n and_o 2._o it_o be_v not_o a_o unity_n in_o the_o scripture_n way_n not_o a_o union_n in_o the_o true_a doctrine_n but_o heresy_n not_o a_o union_n in_o the_o institute_v worship_n of_o god_n but_o idolatry_n and_o superstition_n a_o union_n to_o overthrow_v christ_n kingdom_n if_o it_o be_v possible_a look_v we_o then_o to_o the_o cause_n and_o object_n of_o our_o unity_n else_o it_o will_v afford_v no_o true_a comfort_n unity_n second_o this_o unity_n must_v be_v a_o direct_v and_o order_v unity_n this_o unity_n must_v not_o be_v confusion_n that_o chaos_n and_o unformed_a heap_n god_n create_v at_o first_o it_o be_v one_o thing_n but_o it_o be_v confuse_v it_o be_v without_o form_n a_o house_n demolish_v make_v one_o heap_n but_o it_o be_v a_o ruinous_a disorder_a one_o so_o than_o the_o scripture_n unity_n be_v that_o which_o keep_v the_o order_n and_o distinction_n god_n have_v appoint_v and_o indeed_o this_o be_v great_o to_o be_v press_v lest_o under_o this_o pretence_n of_o unity_n that_o all_o the_o people_n of_o god_n be_v one_o we_o shall_v introduce_v a_o confusion_n and_o make_v christ_n body_n monstrum_fw-la horrendum_fw-la etc._n etc._n though_o the_o church_n be_v that_o one_o body_n of_o christ_n yet_o in_o it_o there_o be_v distinct_a member_n and_o all_o have_v their_o several_a operation_n so_o that_o the_o apostle_n argue_v against_o those_o that_o will_v confound_v this_o order_n be_v all_o the_o member_n of_o the_o body_n a_o eye_n 1_o cor._n 12.14_o 15_o 16._o this_o have_v many_o time_n sore_o trouble_v the_o church_n man_n through_o pride_n and_o corrupt_a end_n will_v not_o religious_o keep_v that_o order_n and_o distinction_n god_n have_v make_v in_o his_o church_n hence_o the_o apostle_n so_o often_o press_v the_o people_n to_o hear_v to_o obey_v to_o submit_v themselves_o unto_o their_o governor_n to_o have_v they_o in_o high_a faith_n be_v not_o wrought_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n neither_o be_v it_o upon_o divine_a motion_n but_o experience_n and_o manifest_a conviction_n they_o feel_v in_o part_n the_o torment_n of_o pagan_a no_o papist_n conversion_n second_o although_o this_o dogmatical_a faith_n be_v common_a to_o the_o regenerate_a and_o unregenerate_a yet_o it_o be_v the_o foundation_n of_o our_o conversion_n and_o in_o the_o regenerate_a when_o improve_v do_v wonderful_o provoke_v the_o increase_n of_o grace_n and_o this_o be_v good_a to_o be_v observe_v for_o though_o we_o make_v it_o not_o save_v faith_n yet_o it_o be_v the_o foundation_n of_o save_a faith_n he_o can_v never_o believe_v on_o christ_n for_o his_o mediator_n that_o do_v not_o believe_v christ_n to_o be_v a_o mediator_n therefore_o the_o apostle_n describe_v the_o general_a nature_n of_o faith_n say_v heb._n 11._o he_o that_o come_v to_o god_n must_v believe_v that_o he_o be_v and_o that_o he_o be_v a_o rewarder_n be_v no_o such_o cause_n of_o doubt_n whether_o he_o will_v be_v a_o saviour_n to_o they_o that_o true_o seek_v to_o he_o insomuch_o that_o it_o may_v be_v question_v whether_o it_o be_v a_o great_a act_n to_o believe_v christ_n to_o be_v a_o mediator_n or_o to_o believe_v he_o a_o mediator_n to_o i_o although_o indeed_o there_o be_v more_o objection_n against_o the_o latter_a for_o there_o be_v not_o only_a objection_n against_o the_o truth_n but_o against_o the_o application_n of_o it_o because_o of_o the_o many_o sin_n and_o infirmity_n which_o i_o perceive_v in_o myself_o yet_o we_o will_v think_v the_o hard_a task_n be_v then_o over_o when_o the_o soul_n can_v believe_v such_o great_a thing_n and_o transcendent_a to_o humane_a reason_n for_o when_o a_o man_n believe_v that_o christ_n be_v both_o god_n and_o man_n unite_v in_o one_o person_n who_o office_n be_v to_o redeem_v the_o oppress_a sinner_n may_v not_o then_o he_o conclude_v easy_o that_o he_o will_v redeem_v he_o for_o which_o be_v great_a to_o believe_v such_o a_o person_n god_n and_o man_n or_o that_o this_o person_n who_o office_n it_o be_v to_o save_v will_v save_v thou_o howsoever_o if_o we_o do_v not_o make_v comparison_n between_o these_o act_n of_o faith_n yet_o certain_o the_o more_o strong_a and_o powerful_a thy_o act_n of_o faith_n be_v about_o the_o truth_n of_o christ_n the_o more_o will_v they_o conduce_v to_o apply_v he_o to_o thou_o even_o as_o in_o man_n the_o more_o vivid_v his_o sense_n be_v which_o do_v accompany_v his_o common_a nature_n with_o a_o beast_n the_o more_o strong_a in_o believe_v as_o he_o be_v in_o understanding_n because_o the_o object_n do_v so_o powerful_o work_v on_o the_o mind_n that_o it_o can_v withstand_v it_o even_o the_o arminian_n can_v not_o but_o
