the_o breaker_n of_o this_o his_o righteous_a good_a and_o perfect_a law_n therefore_o consider_v and_o compare_v thine_o own_o hability_n and_o obedience_n with_o the_o righteousness_n and_o equity_n of_o this_o law_n thou_o may_v in_o it_o as_o in_o a_o glass_n afore_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n under_o blessing_n and_o curse_n betwixt_o life_n and_o death_n see_v evident_o thy_o face_n &_o case_n thy_o conversation_n state_n and_o condition_n but_o if_o thou_o leave_v look_v into_o this_o law_n and_o follow_v the_o flattery_n of_o thine_o own_o fantasy_n thou_o shall_v deceive_v thyself_o dangerous_o not_o only_o in_o negligence_n but_o also_o in_o labour_v tóo_o confess_v thyself_o afore_o god_n due_o for_o as_o the_o pharisie_n that_o compare_v himself_o with_o the_o publican_n so_o thou_o in_o give_v thanks_n unto_o god_n for_o all_o that_o thou_o think_v good_a in_o thyself_o and_o be_v bold_a too_o prefer_v thyself_o to_o some_o other_o for_o the_o evil_n which_o thou_o know_v in_o they_o shall_v so_o deserve_v to_o depart_v less_o justify_v and_o further_o from_o the_o favour_n of_o god_n and_o love_n of_o thy_o neighbour_n for_o the_o more_o that_o thou_o do_v compare_v thine_o own_o well_o do_n with_o the_o evil_a do_n of_o other_o the_o less_o shall_v thou_o dispose_v and_o submit_v thyself_o to_o receive_v mercy_n of_o god_n &_o to_o bear_v the_o infirmity_n of_o thy_o brother_n but_o when_o as_o thou_o do_v examine_v thine_o own_o conscience_n and_o judge_v thine_o own_o deed_n by_o the_o law_n of_o god_n afore_o the_o face_n of_o god_n then_o shall_v thou_o find_v such_o evil_n inward_o as_o shall_v give_v thou_o great_a occasion_n to_o be_v so_o earnest_o occupy_v in_o reform_v thyself_o that_o outward_o thou_o can_v be_v bold_a either_o to_o glory_v in_o thyself_o or_o to_o judge_v any_o other_o they_o which_o have_v not_o the_o right_a use_n of_o the_o law_n can_v have_v no_o true_a knowledge_n of_o sin_n but_o thou_o that_o will_v judge_v thyself_o by_o the_o law_n shall_v feel_v what_o be_v in_o thyself_o against_o the_o law_n for_o if_o thou_o do_v not_o find_v thyself_o guilty_a in_o have_v any_o strange_a idolater_n which_o make_v they_o and_o put_v their_o trust_n in_o they_o undouted_o there_o be_v no_o true_a knowledge_n of_o chryst_n learn_v of_o god_n word_n but_o a_o false_a idol_n of_o christ_n forge_v by_o imagination_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o they_o that_o can_v be_v content_a to_o say_v that_o chryst_n their_o saviour_n be_v like_a unto_o any_o such_o vile_a thing_n and_o also_o in_o imagery_n of_o other_o thing_n many_o man_n do_v much_o offend_v in_o esteem_v more_o the_o vain_a counterfeit_n make_v by_o man_n than_o the_o good_a creature_n make_v by_o god_n i_o mean_v in_o christ_n merit_n only_o of_o a_o pure_a love_n towards_o god_n and_o their_o neighbour_n without_o any_o trust_n or_o look_v unto_o the_o worthiness_n of_o their_o own_o deed_n they_o be_v earnest_o bend_v unto_o good_a work_v to_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n and_o the_o profit_n of_o all_o man_n thou_o that_o lack_v the_o light_n of_o the_o gospel_n may_v say_v that_o thou_o believe_v as_o the_o church_n do_v and_o yet_o think_v in_o thy_o heart_n that_o thou_o by_o thy_o good_a deed_n may_v be_v save_v yea_o that_o thou_o will_v not_o do_v good_a deed_n but_o that_o thou_o believe_v by_o
