off_o at_o once_o it_o wither_v in_o the_o use_n and_o certain_o die_v either_o before_o or_o with_o our_o flesh_n it_o be_v not_o able_a to_o satisfy_v either_o out_o soul_n or_o body_n therefore_o unworthy_a to_o be_v labour_v or_o contend_v for_o by_o any_o but_o especial_o by_o saint_n that_o have_v god_n to_o live_v and_o delight_v in_o again_o the_o wise_a man_n discovery_n be_v that_o all_o thing_n under_o the_o sun_n be_v vanity_n carry_v along_o with_o it_o this_o counsel_n that_o we_o shall_v use_v the_o world_n as_o if_o we_o use_v it_o not_o i_o value_v it_o no_o high_a than_o vanity_n let_v it_o be_v so_o in_o our_o eye_n and_o heart_n let_v god_n end_v in_o create_v of_o the_o world_n be_v our_o end_n in_o use_v of_o it_o he_o make_v the_o world_n to_o serve_v man_n and_o man_n only_o to_o serve_v himself_o so_o may_v we_o use_v all_o thing_n not_o sinful_a moderate_o and_o with_o thanksgiving_n make_v the_o who_o creation_n our_o servant_n and_o our_o footstool_n so_o nature_n this_o shall_v the_o world_n be_v in_o a_o saint_n eye_n what_o of_o god_n be_v in_o the_o whole_a or_o any_o part_n of_o the_o creation_n embrace_v that_o keep_v close_o to_o that_o lift_v up_o his_o name_n his_o power_n and_o his_o glory_n in_o all_o so_o use_v the_o world_n as_o to_o lift_v up_o god_n above_o it_o my_o meaning_n be_v this_o use_v all_o power_n all_o place_n all_o honour_n and_o interest_n among_o the_o son_n of_o man_n to_o lift_v up_o the_o name_n of_o god_n this_o be_v a_o precious_a spirit_n indeed_o that_o can_v despise_v the_o world_n glory_n when_o god_n glory_n go_v not_o with_o it_o and_o can_v rejoice_v in_o the_o world_n reproach_n when_o in_o that_o he_o may_v more_o advance_v the_o glory_n of_o his_o god_n this_o be_v to_o use_v the_o world_n as_o if_o we_o use_v it_o not_o to_o take_v it_o up_o and_o lay_v it_o down_o only_o as_o it_o may_v serve_v the_o high_a end_n of_o our_o be_v the_o lift_v up_o of_o the_o glory_n of_o our_o god_n if_o there_o be_v any_o thing_n but_o vanity_n in_o the_o world_n i_o very_o persuade_v myself_o it_o shall_v have_v be_v part_n of_o the_o saint_n portion_n but_o as_o it_o be_v it_o be_v too_o low_a a_o region_n for_o the_o saint_n to_o live_v in_o god_n give_v full_a blessing_n to_o his_o child_n and_o therefore_o have_v give_v himself_o to_o be_v his_o people_n inheritance_n &_o have_v do_v they_o no_o injury_n in_o bind_v up_o the_o whole_a world_n under_o vanity_n for_o it_o be_v not_o their_o portion_n it_o be_v at_o most_o but_o their_o wilderness_n footstool_n christ_n be_v their_o rock_n of_o age_n heaven_n their_o more_o exceed_a and_o eternal_a weight_n of_o glory_n saint_n will_v soon_o have_v low_a thought_n of_o the_o world_n if_o their_o heart_n be_v lift_v up_o to_o their_o interest_n the_o king_n and_o kingdom_n of_o glory_n it_o will_v then_o appear_v that_o we_o use_v it_o as_o if_o we_o use_v it_o not_o that_o when_o we_o have_v it_o it_o be_v no_o part_n of_o our_o life_n and_o glory_n so_o when_o it_o be_v go_v we_o have_v no_o want_n of_o it_o for_o god_n be_v our_o all_o and_o we_o have_v at_o all_o time_n all_o in_o god_n it_o be_v not_o the_o creature_n which_o be_v vanity_n that_o make_v a_o saint_n joy_n but_o god_n in_o the_o creature_n and_o if_o that_o vanity_n vanish_v away_o yet_o the_o comfort_n do_v not_o because_o that_o be_v bind_v up_o in_o god_n who_o live_v for_o ever_o god_n do_v often_o vary_v in_o his_o dispensation_n to_o his_o child_n but_o not_o in_o his_o love_n which_o be_v their_o life_n though_o in_o reference_n to_o the_o world_n he_o lead_v they_o through_o good_a and_o bad_a report_n through_o sickness_n and_o health_n high_a and_o low_a honourable_a and_o dishenorable_a esteem_n of_o the_o world_n yet_o in_o all_o this_o his_o eternal_a love_n be_v always_o the_o same_o and_o saint_n know_v this_o be_v as_o full_a of_o life_n and_o joy_n in_o the_o one_o condition_n as_o in_o the_o other_o because_o god_n and_o his_o love_n be_v their_o life_n and_o joy_n in_o all_o condition_n and_o hence_o it_o come_v that_o saint_n use_v the_o world_n with_o so_o much_o slightness_n because_o not_o any_o of_o their_o life_n and_o interest_n be_v bind_v up_o in_o it_o if_o the_o gourd_n be_v green_a and_o flourish_n yet_o god_n and_o not_o that_o be_v their_o life_n and_o glory_n if_o the_o gourd_n wither_v and_o die_v yet_o they_o do_v not_o for_o they_o have_v lose_v nothing_o in_o the_o gourd_n be_v nothing_o because_o god_n who_o be_v all_o be_v their_o all_o oh_o that_o the_o spirit_n do_v live_v more_o in_o saint_n then_o shall_v we_o live_v more_o in_o god_n and_o less_o in_o the_o world_n then_o shall_v we_o true_o use_v the_o world_n as_o if_o we_o use_v it_o not_o this_o truth_n do_v also_o show_v we_o the_o glorious_a interest_n of_o saint_n that_o have_v a_o god_n to_o live_v and_o glory_n in_o though_o there_o be_v vanity_n in_o all_o thing_n under_o the_o sun_n sure_o it_o can_v not_o but_o be_v amazement_n to_o that_o tyrant_n to_o behold_v the_o 3_o child_n in_o the_o fiery_a furnace_n and_o not_o consume_v and_o be_v it_o well_o consider_v it_o will_v be_v as_o great_a a_o amazement_n to_o the_o world_n to_o see_v saint_n full_a of_o rest_n joy_n and_o peace_n in_o their_o spirit_n though_o the_o world_n be_v full_a of_o change_n and_o altogether_o vanity_n put_v these_o together_o and_o we_o shall_v find_v the_o cause_n to_o be_v one_o and_o the_o same_o in_o daniel_n 3._o verse_n 25._o the_o text_n tell_v we_o that_o four_o man_n walk_v in_o the_o midst_n of_o the_o fire_n and_o the_o form_n of_o the_o four_o be_v like_o the_o son_n of_o god_n the_o text_n give_v we_o the_o reason_n why_o the_o fire_n can_v not_o consume_v they_o according_a to_o its_o own_o nature_n because_o the_o presence_n of_o god_n be_v there_o the_o reason_n be_v the_o same_o though_o the_o saint_n have_v their_o be_v among_o the_o vanity_n be_v god_n to_o his_o child_n in_o this_o wilderness_n of_o vanity_n he_o be_v rock_n and_o water_n of_o life_n both_o and_o such_o as_o experiment_n he_o can_v tell_v they_o have_v meat_n to_o eat_v such_o as_o the_o world_n kowe_n not_o of_o and_o when_o the_o world_n shall_v be_v force_v to_o confess_v that_o their_o food_n be_v busk_n and_o not_o enough_o neither_o then_o can_v such_o as_o have_v a_o interest_n in_o god_n
will_v also_o glory_v through_o the_o freegrace_n of_o god_n in_o this_o that_o christ_n be_v make_v his_o righteousness_n and_o justification_n so_o that_o he_o stand_v complete_a before_o god_n in_o he_o freegrace_n make_v christ_n sin_n for_o i_o say_v this_o soul_n that_o i_o may_v be_v make_v the_o righteousness_n of_o god_n in_o he_o 2_o cor._n 5._o last_o jesus_n christ_n in_o the_o design_n of_o god_n freegrace_n have_v bear_v sin_n death_n hell_n law_n and_o curse_v for_o i_o that_o i_o be_o for_o ever_o acquit_v from_o the_o condemn_a reign_a or_o devour_a power_n of_o any_o or_o of_o justice_n he_o have_v the_o debt_n pay_v how_o then_o do_v you_o make_v it_o grace_n to_o this_o i_o answer_v that_o in_o its_o proper_a place_n i_o shall_v make_v use_n of_o this_o argument_n to_o clear_v up_o the_o glory_n of_o god_n in_o the_o exactness_n of_o his_o justice_n but_o it_o do_v no_o way_n diminish_v the_o freeness_n of_o his_o grace_n to_o we_o for_o it_o be_v freegrace_n that_o make_v christ_n to_o be_v the_o satisfaction_n of_o divine_a justice_n for_o our_o sin_n and_o that_o god_n satisfy_v his_o own_o justice_n in_o himself_o do_v no_o more_o make_v his_o grace_n not_o know_v no_o other_o god_n yet_o every_o piece_n and_o parcel_n of_o it_o sanctify_a be_v a_o blessing_n and_o a_o rich_a mercy_n of_o god_n to_o his_o choose_a people_n love_n make_v all_o condition_n as_o know_v he_o not_o do_v blaspheme_v and_o scoff_n at_o he_o in_o scoff_v at_o his_o spirit_n in_o his_o people_n yet_o saint_n in_o truth_n will_v tell_v you_o that_o they_o in_o themselves_o be_v darkness_n and_o god_n be_v only_a light_n and_o it_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n in_o they_o that_o be_v their_o light_n that_o they_o know_v
no_o truth_n of_o jesus_n but_o by_o the_o spirit_n nor_o do_v they_o ever_o true_o worship_n or_o know_v how_o to_o worship_v god_n in_o truth_n but_o in_o &_o by_o the_o spirit_n and_o until_o they_o receive_v this_o light_n they_o worship_v the_o unknown_a god_n though_o god_n will_v be_v free_a in_o the_o manner_n and_o measure_n and_o time_n of_o his_o dispensation_n yet_o he_o be_v the_o proper_a subject_n of_o his_o people_n glory_n so_o that_o such_o as_o glory_n may_v glory_v in_o the_o lord_n the_o last_o particular_a i_o shall_v mention_v be_v this_o the_o eternity_n of_o god_n that_o god_n be_v eternal_a in_o all_o he_o be_v the_o lord_n tell_v we_o in_o one_o scripture_n i_o be_o god_n that_o change_v not_o he_o wax_v not_o old_a as_o do_v a_o garment_n he_o dwell_v free_a grace_n and_o eternal_o so_o three_o a_o god_n rich_a in_o mercy_n and_o that_o to_o all_o eternity_n four_o a_o god_n faithful_a in_o make_v good_a all_o his_o promise_n and_o in_o this_o
