knowledge_n of_o the_o true_a god_n which_o be_v always_o join_v with_o his_o obedience_n neither_o in_o deed_n can_v any_o man_n know_v he_o but_o he_o be_v straight_o way_n belove_v of_o he_o but_o heaven_n that_o be_v to_o say_v call_v upon_o they_o and_o in_o some_o sort_n put_v our_o trust_n in_o they_o upon_o this_o condition_n that_o we_o take_v they_o as_o instrument_n appoint_v of_o god_n for_o our_o help_n mat._n god_n very_o give_v this_o ability_n to_o those_o that_o be_v alive_a yea_o he_o have_v command_v that_o one_o shall_v help_v another_o but_o this_o can_v be_v in_o the_o dead_a for_o solomon_n say_v also_o their_o love_n &_o their_o hatred_n and_o their_o error_n 6._o eccles_n 9_o 6._o be_v now_o perish_v and_o they_o have_v no_o more_o portion_n for_o ever_o in_o all_o that_o be_v do_v under_o the_o sun_n theoph._n how_o know_v thou_o that_o god_n have_v not_o give_v this_o power_n to_o the_o dead_a to_o be_v able_a to_o help_v we_o and_o that_o therefore_o they_o be_v not_o to_o be_v pray_v unto_o when_o any_o necessity_n press_v we_o mat._n there_o be_v no_o one_o example_n of_o this_o in_o all_o the_o scripture_n which_o notwithstanding_o be_v the_o it_o for_o as_o much_o as_o it_o be_v infinite_a no_o less_o than_o the_o fault_n for_o they_o be_v of_o the_o same_o nature_n theo._n what_o think_v thou_o of_o the_o affliction_n which_o god_n send_v unto_o we_o even_o after_o the_o forgiveness_n of_o sin_n matth._n i_o say_v they_o be_v not_o send_v to_o be_v punishment_n of_o sin_n but_o to_o be_v unto_o we_o in_o stead_n of_o chastisement_n and_o correction_n to_o humble_v we_o and_o that_o we_o may_v be_v the_o wise_a after_o for_o the_o apostle_n say_v 32._o 1._o cor._n 11._o 32._o when_o we_o be_v chastise_v we_o be_v instruct_v of_o the_o lord_n that_o we_o shall_v not_o be_v condemn_v with_o the_o world_n theoph._n therefore_o the_o nature_n of_o affliction_n be_v change_v when_o as_o they_o be_v send_v to_o the_o godly_a for_o they_o be_v not_o punishment_n of_o sin_n to_o satisfy_v the_o judgement_n of_o god_n matth._n thou_o say_v well_o &_o he_o same_o be_v to_o be_v think_v of_o the_o infirmity_n of_o the_o body_n which_o we_o know_v be_v leave_v we_o not_o to_o be_v punishment_n of_o sin_n but_o a_o exercise_v of_o patience_n the_o same_o also_o be_v to_o be_v say_v of_o death_n which_o to_o we_o be_v as_o a_o bridge_n
