may_v be_v instrumental_a to_o bring_v man_n off_o from_o their_o unbelief_n and_o then_o by_o lay_v before_o they_o the_o solid_a ground_n and_o reason_n you_o have_v for_o the_o credibility_n and_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel-record_n you_o may_v through_o the_o blessing_n of_o god_n convince_v and_o convert_v such_o unbeliever_n as_o i_o be_o to_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o to_o faith_n in_o christ_n according_a to_o the_o gospel_n 4_o he_o ask_v the_o unbeliever_n whether_o he_o find_v it_o difficult_a to_o believe_v because_o he_o doubt_v of_o christ_n ability_n or_o goodwill_n to_o save_v and_o then_o he_o say_v that_o this_o be_v to_o contradict_v the_o testimony_n of_o god_n in_o the_o gospel_n to_o this_o the_o unbeliever_n may_v ready_o reply_v sir_n what_o do_v you_o mean_v by_o christ_n ability_n or_o goodwill_n to_o save_v whether_o do_v you_o mean_v it_o of_o his_o ability_n or_o goodwill_n to_o save_v other_o to_o wit_n all_o the_o elect_a in_o christ_n ability_n and_o goodwill_n to_o save_v all_o the_o elect_a in_o general_n for_o i_o find_v that_o god_n have_v clear_o testify_v so_o much_o in_o the_o gospel_n and_o i_o firm_o believe_v his_o testimony_n and_o do_v not_o in_o the_o least_o contradict_v it_o but_o if_o you_o mean_v it_o of_o his_o ability_n or_o willingness_n to_o save_v i_o in_o particular_a i_o desire_v you_o to_o name_v the_o chapter_n and_o verse_n in_o the_o gospel_n where_o god_n have_v testify_v that_o christ_n be_v willing_a to_o save_v i_o in_o particular_a so_o that_o i_o can_v doubt_v of_o his_o willingness_n to_o save_v i_o without_o contradict_v that_o testimony_n you_o can_v positive_o say_v that_o i_o be_o one_o of_o the_o elect_n who_o christ_n be_v certain_o willing_a to_o save_v because_o i_o be_o yet_o a_o unbeliever_n and_o so_o long_o as_o i_o be_o a_o unbeliever_n neither_o you_o nor_o i_o can_v possible_o know_v without_o a_o immediate_a revelation_n whether_o i_o be_v one_o of_o the_o elect_a or_o not_o i_o may_v be_v or_o i_o may_v not_o be_v one_o of_o they_o but_o neither_o you_o nor_o i_o can_v say_v determinate_o that_o i_o be_o certain_o the_o one_o of_o they_o and_o not_o the_o other_o if_o you_o shall_v say_v and_o you_o have_v nothing_o else_o to_o say_v that_o whether_o i_o be_v one_o of_o the_o elect_a or_o not_o i_o must_v believe_v without_o doubt_v that_o christ_n be_v able_a and_o willing_a to_o save_v i_o otherwise_o i_o contradict_v the_o testimony_n of_o god_n in_o the_o gospel_n then_o indeed_o you_o will_v say_v something_o to_o of_o mankind_n but_o pelagius_n deny_v that_o these_o infant_n who_o so_o die_v in_o their_o infancy_n have_v any_o sin_n either_o original_a or_o actual_a to_o be_v redeem_v from_o and_o therefore_o he_o must_v needs_o deny_v also_o that_o they_o be_v redeem_a and_o consequent_o he_o must_v needs_o deny_v universal_a redemption_n of_o all_o mankind_n where_o there_o be_v no_o manner_n of_o sin_n there_o be_v no_o manner_n of_o punishment_n due_a for_o sin_n and_o consequent_o no_o room_n for_o redemption_n by_o the_o blood_n and_o death_n of_o christ_n either_o from_o sin_n or_o punishment_n as_o to_o believe_v of_o contradiction_n he_o be_v great_o mistake_v if_o he_o think_v that_o we_o have_v so_o strong_a a_o faith_n or_o so_o wide_a a_o swallow_n for_o we_o that_o know_v ourselves_o much_o better_a than_o he_o do_v declare_v sincere_o that_o we_o be_v never_o master_n of_o such_o a_o faith_n as_o can_v believe_v know_v contradiction_n and_o that_o we_o can_v never_o make_v both_o
