of_o covenant_n grace_n say_v that_o only_o the_o elect_a and_o person_n effectual_o call_v be_v the_o object_n and_o yet_o he_o intimate_v that_o the_o elect_v unregenerate_a be_v the_o object_n of_o initial_a grace_n and_o that_o grace_n and_o faith_n be_v a_o part_n of_o the_o covenant_n seal_v by_o the_o sacrament_n and_o yet_o he_o will_v not_o have_v those_o receive_v that_o have_v not_o this_o faith_n and_o grace_n though_o promise_v in_o the_o covenant_n and_o seal_v in_o the_o sacrament_n but_o if_o the_o elect_a before_o conversion_n be_v in_o the_o writing_n and_o in_o the_o church_n than_o sacrament_n seal_v to_o they_o but_o doubtless_o god_n have_v his_o elect_a to_o call_v in_o the_o church_n else_o we_o can_v tell_v where_o they_o be_v if_o not_o under_o the_o but_o such_o there_o be_v in_o the_o visible_a church_n which_o by_o nature_n be_v as_o bad_a as_o any_o other_o and_o in_o no_o consideration_n differ_v from_o the_o worst_a of_o man_n consider_v in_o themselves_o but_o be_v simple_a sinner_n whole_o lose_v with_o the_o rest_n of_o fall_v mankind_n that_o which_o make_v the_o difference_n be_v out_o of_o themselves_o it_o be_v the_o mere_a good_a will_n and_o pleasure_n of_o he_o that_o work_v all_o thing_n after_o the_o counsel_n of_o his_o own_o will_n give_v grace_n to_o who_o he_o will_v of_o those_o that_o in_o all_o respect_n be_v equal_a in_o sin_n and_o misery_n so_o that_o when_o we_o shall_v come_v to_o judge_v of_o person_n in_o the_o church_n under_o the_o most_o evident_a character_n of_o unregeneracy_n yet_o we_o may_v not_o exclude_v they_o from_o be_v object_n of_o covenant_n grace_n and_o mercy_n nor_o from_o the_o seal_n and_o pledge_n of_o that_o grace_n and_o mercy_n during_o their_o abode_n in_o the_o church_n and_o the_o church_n indulgence_n towards_o they_o in_o a_o word_n nothing_o exclude_v from_o covenant_n relation_n but_o the_o sin_n against_o the_o holy_a ghost_n which_o i_o fear_v many_o of_o our_o blasphemous_a sectary_n be_v guilty_a of_o and_o positive_a unbelief_n such_o as_o be_v in_o the_o harden_a and_o obstinate_a jew_n who_o deny_v the_o holy_a one_o and_o true_a messiah_n send_v among_o they_o obstinacy_n and_o apostasy_n in_o the_o just_o excommunicate_v renounce_v the_o christian_a religion_n hate_v to_o be_v reform_v by_o the_o church_n censure_n these_o thing_n sacrament_n of_o the_o supper_n be_v a_o visible_a gospel_n represent_v christ_n crucify_v to_o sight_n and_o all_o the_o other_o sense_n by_o institute_v sign_n which_o more_o ordinary_o be_v carry_v to_o the_o ear_n by_o the_o word_n but_o in_o this_o all_o the_o sense_n be_v make_v the_o inlet_n to_o the_o soul_n carry_v the_o knowledge_n of_o christ_n crucify_v to_o the_o understand_a heart_n and_o conscience_n and_o i_o think_v the_o unregenerate_a in_o the_o church_n have_v as_o much_o need_n of_o be_v teach_v christ_n crucify_v by_o the_o visible_a sign_n as_o any_o other_o and_o they_o have_v as_o much_o need_n of_o the_o benefit_n and_o advantage_n of_o their_o outward_a sense_n as_o the_o regenerate_a and_o more_o they_o be_v more_o dull_a and_o slow_a of_o spirit_n to_o understand_v or_o to_o be_v affect_v with_o the_o meaning_n and_o end_n of_o this_o service_n than_o they_o be_v 2._o the_o main_a end_n of_o this_o service_n be_v to_o keep_v a_o continual_a fresh_a remembrance_n of_o the_o death_n of_o christ_n and_o that_o satisfaction_n make_v by_o he_o by_o which_o all_o the_o same_o blessing_n of_o the_o covenant_n be_v procure_v to_o fall_v man_n christ_n blood_n be_v shed_v for_o many_o for_o remission_n of_o sin_n that_o he_o may_v gather_v into_o one_o the_o child_n of_o god_n scatter_v abroad_o in_o all_o the_o world_n and_o in_o all_o age_n of_o visible_a subject_n they_o partake_v thereof_o conform_o according_a to_o their_o present_a capacity_n object_n but_o then_o say_v the_o doctor_n if_o it_o be_v a_o conver_a ordinance_n we_o may_v without_o a_o miracle_n beside_o it_o be_v clear_a enough_o that_o as_o no_o uncircumcised_a person_n be_v to_o enter_v into_o the_o sanctuary_n or_o to_o eat_v of_o the_o passeover_n so_o no_o unbaptised_a person_n be_v to_o partake_v of_o the_o holy_a supper_n in_o that_o communion_n be_v there_o the_o like_a ground_n of_o deny_v the_o sacrament_n to_o the_o ignorant_a and_o scandalous_a person_n under_o church_n indulgence_n that_o there_o be_v of_o deny_v it_o to_o infidel_n this_o controversy_n have_v be_v at_o a_o end_n before_o this_o time_n it_o can_v be_v deny_v but_o unbeliever_n use_v to_o distinguish_v the_o church_n from_o the_o world_n how_o common_o be_v the_o same_o use_v to_o make_v a_o distinction_n in_o the_o church_n among_o we_o who_o in_o scripture_n sense_n be_v all_o believer_n for_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o a_o unbeliever_n in_o the_o scripture_n sense_n be_v either_o a_o pagan_a infidel_n or_o a_o unbelieved_a jew_n that_o absolute_o renounce_v christ_n under_o the_o notion_n of_o a_o false_a christ_n a_o deceiver_n a_o devil_n etc._n etc._n refuse_v to_o obey_v his_o law_n or_o to_o expect_v salvation_n by_o he_o 2._o because_o we_o find_v that_o these_o unbeliever_n be_v under_o wrath_n alien_n from_o the_o commonwealth_n of_o israel_n stranger_n to_o the_o covenant_n of_o promise_n without_o hope_n and_o without_o god_n in_o the_o world_n ephes_n 2.12_o which_o be_v true_a of_o the_o ephesian_n before_o they_o receive_v the_o gospel_n that_o therefore_o the_o unregenerate_a in_o the_o church_n be_v under_o the_o same_o condition_n though_o they_o believe_v in_o a_o true_a sense_n though_o not_o sincere_o and_o be_v under_o the_o covenant_n and_o person_n to_o who_o the_o adoption_n and_o the_o give_v of_o the_o law_n and_o the_o service_n of_o god_n pertain_v as_o once_o to_o the_o jew_n rom._n 9.4_o 34._o find_v warrant_n in_o the_o word_n to_o separate_v from_o the_o infidel_n and_o idolatrous_a world_n especial_o in_o matter_n of_o worship_n therefore_o they_o conclude_v we_o must_v separate_v ourselves_o from_o the_o unregenerate_a in_o the_o church_n 4._o because_o we_o find_v that_o some_o believer_n have_v by_o their_o unworthy_a and_o undecent_a behaviour_n in_o time_n of_o administration_n profane_v the_o sacrament_n to_o their_o own_o peril_n and_o judgement_n therefore_o we_o conclude_v first_o that_o those_o who_o person_n be_v unworthy_a as_o not_o be_v regenerate_v eat_v and_o drink_v unworthy_o second_o that_o some_o other_o unworthy_a action_n of_o christian_n commit_v before_o their_o come_n to_o the_o sacrament_n render_v they_o uncapable_a of_o worthy_a receive_n and_o consequent_o render_v they_o liable_a to_o judgement_n therein_o 5._o because_o we_o
