the_o truth_n of_o christianity_n it_o be_v say_v that_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o matter_n of_o fact_n be_v not_o knowable_a at_o this_o distance_n such_o as_o whether_o there_o be_v such_o person_n as_o our_o saviour_n and_o his_o apostle_n whether_o they_o perform_v such_o miracle_n and_o the_o apostle_n write_v such_o book_n etc._n etc._n but_o by_o the_o tradition_n of_o the_o church_n because_o no_o such_o matter_n be_v to_o be_v know_v at_o any_o considerable_a distance_n but_o by_o tradition_n to_o this_o it_o be_v answer_v that_o it_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o believe_v the_o matter_n of_o fact_n upon_o the_o church_n tradition_n and_o another_o to_o believe_v they_o upon_o her_o authority_n found_v upon_o her_o infallibility_n now_o this_o latter_a we_o reject_v but_o adhere_v to_o the_o former_a as_o a_o ground_n of_o our_o belief_n of_o those_o thing_n but_o then_o by_o the_o tradition_n of_o the_o church_n we_o be_v far_o from_o meaning_n that_o of_o rome_n aside_o the_o authority_n of_o the_o church_n or_o we_o can_v be_v certain_a if_o we_o can_v be_v certain_a why_o then_o not_o of_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o whole_a scripture_n as_o well_o as_o of_o this_o single_a text_n if_o we_o can_v be_v certain_a of_o the_o truth_n of_o this_o text_n without_o the_o consideration_n of_o the_o church_n authority_n what_o folly_n or_o rather_o knavery_n be_v with_o that_o which_o he_o have_v so_o often_o profess_v to_o loath_a and_o abominate_a now_o let_v we_o observe_v that_o this_o determination_n of_o god_n will_n and_o power_n from_o within_o himself_o to_o thing_n just_a and_o good_a be_v that_o which_o give_v a_o great_a lustre_n to_o his_o nature_n and_o far_o more_o speak_v he_o the_o most_o excellent_a and_o most_o happy_a be_v than_o the_o more_o unhappy_a for_o the_o worse_a any_o one_o be_v the_o less_o satisfaction_n he_o must_v needs_o take_v in_o himself_o and_o the_o less_o he_o will_v necessary_o have_v of_o self-enjoyment_n as_o have_v be_v already_o show_v now_o consider_v what_o have_v be_v say_v it_o be_v most_o apparent_a that_o the_o divine_a liberty_n the_o most_o excellent_a liberty_n of_o god_n himself_o be_v his_o absolute_a freedom_n to_o good_a his_o be_v perfect_o unbiased_a by_o any_o evil_a affection_n and_o infinite_o out_o of_o the_o reach_n of_o corrupt_a appetite_n so_o that_o he_o several_a particular_n four_o that_o none_o but_o the_o jew_n be_v oblige_v to_o the_o observance_n of_o this_o law_n first_o we_o will_v demonstrate_v the_o truth_n of_o this_o assertion_n that_o christian_a liberty_n consist_v in_o freedom_n to_o holy_a obedience_n in_o deliverance_n from_o the_o power_n and_o dominion_n of_o sin_n together_o with_o the_o direful_a effect_n and_o consequent_n give_v we_o leave_v to_o use_v our_o reason_n in_o the_o choice_n of_o our_o church_n yet_o neither_o do_v she_o this_o real_o but_o what_o she_o give_v with_o one_o hand_n take_v away_o again_o with_o the_o other_o in_o that_o she_o will_v not_o suffer_v we_o to_o judge_v of_o the_o sense_n of_o scripture_n and_o consequent_o not_o of_o those_o text_n whereby_o she_o pretend_v to_o prove_v
