as_o coptite_n nestorian_n armenian_n the_o greek_a church_n and_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n here_o in_o the_o west_n what_o a_o handful_n be_v leave_v of_o those_o wherein_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n be_v not_o subject_a to_o the_o same_o corruption_n nor_o the_o holy_a worship_n of_o god_n defile_v with_o the_o same_o superstition_n what_o reason_n have_v thou_o to_o trouble_v thyself_o with_o consideration_n of_o the_o small_a number_n of_o god_n elect_v &_o great_a number_n of_o reprobate_n to_o receive_v comfort_n the_o way_n be_v plain_a and_o short_a if_o thou_o believe_v in_o christ_n a_o fountain_n of_o consolation_n be_v open_v unto_o thou_o by_o our_o doctrine_n so_o long_o as_o thou_o believe_v not_o this_o author_n have_v as_o good_a as_o express_o signify_v that_o no_o comfort_n be_v applyable_a unto_o thou_o from_o the_o death_n of_o christ._n and_o over_o and_o above_o we_o say_v that_o by_o faith_n in_o christ_n thou_o may_v be_v assure_v of_o thy_o election_n accord_v unto_o our_o doctrine_n not_o so_o according_a to_o the_o doctrine_n of_o arminian_n 2._o the_o second_o section_n treat_n thereupon_o our_o consolator_n instruct_v in_o the_o school_n of_o dort_n will_v allege_v unto_o he_o the_o judgement_n of_o charity_n which_o praesume_v well_o of_o every_o one_o see_v that_o god_n do_v as_o little_o reveal_v the_o decree_n of_o reprobation_n as_o that_o of_o election_n but_o this_o patient_n will_v not_o there_o find_v the_o least_o assurance_n and_o that_o for_o many_o reason_n 1._o first_o because_o this_o judgement_n of_o charity_n which_o presume_v well_o if_o a_o man_n apply_v it_o general_o unto_o all_o do_v necessary_o prove_v false_a the_o comforter_n not_o dare_v to_o maintain_v these_o two_o proposition_n together_o that_o christ_n die_v for_o all_o man_n and_o that_o he_o die_v for_o a_o very_a small_a number_n 2._o second_o the_o judgement_n of_o charity_n haâ—h_v never_o any_o place_n when_o we_o must_v have_v the_o certitude_n of_o faith_n to_o believe_v or_o do_v any_o thing_n with_o a_o good_a conscience_n 3._o three_o the_o judgement_n of_o charity_n extend_v itself_o no_o far_o than_o to_o the_o suppress_n of_o sinister_a opinion_n and_o suspicion_n too_o light_o conceive_v against_o one_o neighbour_n who_o infirmity_n it_o command_v we_o to_o conceal_v without_o preach_v any_o falsehood_n to_o he_o when_o i_o see_v any_o one_o present_a himself_o at_o the_o table_n of_o the_o lord_n in_o the_o judgement_n of_o charity_n i_o think_v he_o to_o be_v prepare_v as_o he_o ought_v see_v nothing_o to_o the_o contrary_n but_o that_o they_o who_o be_v thus_o well_o prepare_v do_v theâ—e_n participate_v to_o their_o soul_n health_n this_o i_o believe_v with_o the_o judgement_n of_o faith_n which_o suffer_v nothing_o that_o be_v or_o may_v be_v to_o be_v false_a so_o likewise_o when_o i_o see_v a_o sick_a man_n which_o be_v give_v up_o the_o ghâ—st_a calling_n upon_o jesus_n christ_n i_o believe_v in_o charity_n that_o he_o die_v a_o christian._n but_o that_o god_n make_v they_o happy_a who_o depart_v in_o the_o true_a faith_n of_o our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n this_o i_o believe_v with_o the_o certitude_n of_o faith_n and_o in_o such_o a_o manner_n as_o it_o be_v impossible_a for_o i_o to_o be_v deceive_v which_o yet_o notwithstanding_o both_o may_v and_o often_o do_v happen_v in_o the_o judgement_n of_o charity_n in_o a_o word_n the_o judgement_n of_o charity_n have_v no_o place_n but_o in_o those_o thing_n only_o that_o be_v between_o man_n and_o man_n but_o when_o there_o be_v a_o question_n of_o the_o divine_a promise_n which_o have_v their_o foundation_n in_o divine_a truâ—h_n there_o be_v then_o require_v a_o certitude_n of_o faith_n wherein_o there_o be_v nothing_o to_o be_v find_v that_o be_v either_o false_a or_o doubtful_a if_o every_o one_o shall_v say_v we_o shall_v presume_v every_o one_o to_o be_v of_o the_o number_n of_o the_o elect_a until_o he_o appear_v to_o be_v the_o contrary_a the_o patient_a will_n answer_n that_o by_o outward_a appearance_n we_o can_v know_v nothing_o either_o of_o election_n or_o reprobation_n even_o by_o the_o judgement_n of_o the_o two_o synod_n and_o that_o therefore_o it_o be_v not_o sufficient_a to_o presume_v but_o that_o also_o we_o must_v have_v a_o full_a and_o perfect_a assurance_n that_o christ_n die_v for_o he_o who_o we_o go_v about_o to_o comfort_n which_o assurance_n be_v not_o to_o be_v find_v in_o the_o doctrine_n authorise_v at_o dort_n see_v it_o deny_v that_o christ_n die_v for_o all_o man_n this_o author_n may_v prove_v a_o valiant_a champion_n and_o attain_v to_o very_o great_a achievement_n upon_o his_o enemy_n when_o he_o prescribe_v unto_o his_o adversary_n how_o they_o
