they_o both_o or_o either_o of_o they_o to_o refresh_v ourselves_o with_o honest_a and_o moderate_a recreation_n whereby_o we_o shall_v not_o only_o preserve_v our_o strength_n that_o after_o one_o duty_n do_v we_o may_v be_v more_o fit_a to_o perform_v another_o but_o also_o return_v unto_o the_o same_o duty_n again_o in_o seasonable_a time_n with_o a_o better_a stomach_n when_o as_o we_o action_n and_o operation_n and_o then_o the_o christian_a presume_v on_o his_o own_o present_a strength_n and_o of_o his_o former_a progress_n in_o the_o way_n of_o godliness_n begin_v to_o stand_v at_o a_o stay_n suppose_v that_o he_o be_v now_o rich_a enough_o in_o spiritual_a grace_n and_o therefore_o may_v leave_v gather_v and_o spend_v upon_o the_o stock_n that_o he_o be_v out_o of_o all_o danger_n of_o decline_v and_o go_v back_o and_o that_o god_n will_v keep_v he_o safe_a in_o his_o great_a negligence_n and_o howsoever_o he_o carry_v himself_o make_v good_a unto_o he_o his_o gracious_a promise_n of_o life_n and_o salvation_n and_o then_o forget_v god_n justice_n and_o judgement_n and_o his_o mercy_n and_o goodness_n towards_o he_o he_o begin_v secure_o to_o glut_v himself_o with_o worldly_a pleasure_n and_o to_o pursue_v earthly_a profit_n and_o preferment_n he_o grow_v timorous_a to_o be_v see_v in_o any_o course_n of_o godliness_n which_o may_v cross_v he_o in_o their_o fruition_n and_o willing_a to_o strain_v his_o conscience_n in_o use_v all_o mean_n whereby_o he_o may_v obtain_v and_o secure_o enjoy_v they_o then_o he_o stick_v not_o to_o quench_v the_o good_a motion_n of_o god_n spirit_n incite_v he_o to_o return_v to_o his_o former_a holy_a course_n and_o restrain_v he_o from_o sin_n whereby_o he_o grieve_v this_o holy_a guest_n and_o be_v he_o not_o most_o gracious_a without_o respect_n of_o desert_n will_v soon_o make_v he_o weary_a of_o his_o lodging_n then_o he_o begin_v to_o neglect_v the_o exercise_n of_o mortification_n which_o tend_v to_o the_o subdue_a of_o the_o flesh_n and_o his_o former_a care_n in_o often_o renew_v his_o covenant_n with_o god_n by_o renew_v the_o condition_n thereof_o faith_n and_o repentance_n then_o he_o grow_v careless_a and_o negligent_a in_o the_o mean_n of_o grace_n and_o salvation_n as_o hear_v the_o word_n receive_v the_o sacrament_n prayer_n communion_n with_o the_o faithful_a and_o holy_a conference_n whereby_o they_o be_v mutual_a help_n to_o stir_v up_o god_n grace_n in_o one_o another_o not_o care_v much_o whether_o he_o use_v they_o or_o no_o and_o therefore_o take_v slight_a occasion_n as_o lawful_a and_o sufficient_a excuse_n of_o their_o neglect_n or_o when_o he_o do_v perform_v these_o duty_n it_o be_v after_o a_o cold_a and_o formal_a manner_n dull_o and_o drowsy_o negligent_o and_o weary_o without_o any_o taste_n or_o spiritual_a feel_n of_o joy_n and_o comfort_n in_o the_o use_n of_o they_o and_o in_o a_o word_n be_v little_a or_o nothing_o affect_v either_o with_o god_n promise_n or_o threaten_n either_o with_o his_o mercy_n or_o with_o his_o judgement_n either_o with_o love_n and_o delight_n in_o that_o which_o be_v good_a or_o with_o hatred_n and_o dislike_n of_o that_o which_o be_v evil_a and_o therefore_o secure_o lie_v snort_v in_o his_o sin_n as_o though_o there_o be_v no_o fear_n of_o danger_n and_o take_v no_o care_n to_o better_v his_o present_a estate_n by_o rise_v out_o of_o they_o by_o unfeigned_a repentance_n §._o 5_o of_o insensible_a and_o sensible_a security_n in_o the_o faithful_a and_o this_o be_v that_o carnal_a security_n which_o be_v incident_a to_o god_n dear_a child_n the_o which_o nevertheless_o may_v be_v distinguish_v in_o respect_n of_o the_o diverse_a degree_n of_o it_o for_o either_o it_o be_v insensible_a and_o not_o perceive_v or_o else_o sensible_a and_o discern_v the_o former_a like_o a_o deep_a sleep_n do_v stupefy_v for_o the_o time_n of_o the_o continuance_n of_o it_o all_o their_o sense_n and_o abuse_v their_o mind_n and_o imagination_n with_o deceive_a dream_n and_o false_a apprehension_n whereby_o they_o conceive_v that_o they_o be_v in_o good_a estate_n high_o in_o god_n favour_n and_o free_a from_o all_o danger_n and_o therefore_o secure_o go_v on_o in_o their_o sinful_a course_n without_o repentance_n and_o neglect_v the_o mean_n whereby_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n may_v be_v renew_a and_o repair_v in_o they_o or_o else_o use_v they_o after_o a_o cold_a and_o formal_a manner_n and_o this_o be_v the_o case_n of_o holy_a david_n himself_o after_o his_o fearful_a fall_n into_o those_o grievous_a sin_n of_o adultery_n and_o murder_n till_o he_o be_v awake_v out_o of_o this_o 12._o 2._o sam._n 12._o dead_a sleep_n by_o that_o message_n which_o god_n by_o nathan_n
