opinion_n of_o the_o learned_a be_v diverse_a for_o many_o do_v think_v that_o solomon_n do_v not_o speak_v of_o any_o natural_a consideration_n or_o of_o the_o work_n of_o god_n for_o these_o be_v their_o express_a word_n that_o be_v to_o say_v of_o nature_n and_o natural_a thing_n about_o the_o consideration_n whereof_o the_o wit_n and_o labour_n of_o man_n do_v oftentimes_o sweat_v and_o take_v pain_n but_o that_o he_o speak_v of_o the_o consideration_n of_o counsel_n action_n and_o issue_n of_o thing_n in_o the_o government_n of_o man_n concern_v the_o common_a wealth_n or_o private_a family_n so_o that_o the_o meaning_n shall_v be_v i_o determine_v with_o myself_o to_o set_v my_o thing_n in_o very_a good_a order_n to_o strengthen_v and_o establish_v my_o kingdom_n after_o a_o very_a excellent_a manner_n but_o i_o perceive_v and_o learn_v by_o experience_n that_o there_o fall_v out_o unto_o i_o good_a success_n in_o my_o affair_n so_o far_o as_o the_o power_n and_o providence_n of_o god_n be_v with_o i_o when_o as_o god_n withdraw_v his_o hand_n in_o the_o very_a midst_n of_o my_o enterprise_n albeit_o never_o so_o great_a that_o all_o thing_n go_v with_o i_o most_o unhappy_o &_o that_o i_o do_v nothing_o else_o then_o miserable_o to_o turmoil_n and_o vex_v myself_o and_o that_o this_o be_v the_o meaning_n of_o this_o place_n they_o say_v do_v appear_v by_o this_o kind_n of_o speak_v under_o the_o sun_n by_o the_o which_o solomon_n be_v wont_a to_o signify_v the_o affair_n of_o man_n and_o that_o the_o work_n of_o god_n and_o nature_n be_v not_o hem_v in_o within_o so_o narrow_a bound_n and_o true_o there_o be_v no_o doubt_n but_o that_o the_o consideration_n of_o thing_n belong_v unto_o man_n also_o be_v comprehend_v under_o the_o name_n of_o this_o wisdom_n nature_n reason_n to_o prove_v that_o solomon_n speak_v of_o the_o work_n of_o nature_n but_o i_o suppose_v that_o he_o speak_v not_o hereof_o in_o this_o place_n but_o that_o his_o purpose_n be_v to_o speak_v of_o the_o whole_a consideration_n of_o nature_n and_o why_o i_o so_o think_v these_o be_v my_o reason_n if_o he_o shall_v entreat_v of_o man_n his_o prudence_n it_o shall_v be_v a_o plain_a babble_n from_o the_o which_o this_o most_o wise_a discourse_n be_v most_o far_o for_o he_o will_v speak_v hereof_o at_o large_a in_o the_o next_o chapter_n moreover_o the_o unto_o the_o society_n and_o fellowship_n of_o mankind_n philosophy_n he_o speak_v of_o the_o knowledge_n of_o all_o philosophy_n but_o also_o with_o deep_a and_o exquisite_a order_n do_v behold_v above_o nature_n even_o unto_o god_n himself_o to_o be_v short_a i_o think_v that_o he_o speak_v of_o all_o philosophy_n by_o examine_v whereof_o he_o do_v first_o search_n whether_o happiness_n may_v be_v in_o thing_n appertain_v unto_o man_n for_o the_o best_a man_n philosophy_n the_o best_a man_n have_v give_v themselves_o unto_o the_o study_n of_o philosophy_n abandon_v the_o desire_n of_o glory_n and_o of_o money_n and_o count_v all_o other_o thing_n as_o nothing_o by_o give_v themselves_o unto_o the_o contemplation_n and_o study_n of_o the_o nature_n of_o thing_n have_v always_o think_v that_o they_o follow_v the_o best_a kind_n of_o life_n and_o that_o this_o contemplation_n and_o knowledge_n of_o thing_n do_v far_o excel_v all_o other_o study_n as_o be_v a_o life_n free_a &_o deliver_v from_o the_o troublesome_a stir_n of_o this_o life_n give_v unto_o the_o contemplation_n and_o truth_n of_o thing_n and_o full_a of_o great_a satiety_n and_o contentedness_n of_o mind_n and_o therefore_o come_v more_o near_o unto_o happiness_n and_o of_o the_o sound_a philosopher_n those_o the_o which_o have_v say_v that_o the_o first_o and_o chief_a point_n of_o happiness_n that_o be_v to_o say_v altogether_o happiness_n itself_o be_v in_o god_n alone_o nay_o that_o god_n himself_o be_v true_a happiness_n have_v attribute_v the_o second_o place_n unto_o knowledge_n itself_o namely_o after_o god_n himself_o with_o who_o that_o same_o mild_a and_o quiet_a contemplation_n shall_v join_v the_o mind_n of_o man_n and_o that_o same_o excellent_a knowledge_n of_o thing_n they_o adorn_v with_o that_o most_o honourable_a name_n of_o wisdom_n moreover_o there_o be_v no_o doubt_n that_o
that_o therefore_o the_o authority_n of_o they_o be_v not_o hereby_o lessen_v nor_o diminish_v for_o as_o much_o as_o solomon_n be_v not_o the_o author_n but_o only_o the_o writer_n and_o interpreter_n of_o the_o truth_n in_o they_o contain_v and_o teach_v for_o the_o authority_n of_o doctrine_n must_v not_o hang_v upon_o the_o person_n of_o the_o minister_n but_o altogether_o upon_o the_o dignity_n of_o the_o author_n and_o there_o be_v nothing_o either_o in_o this_o or_o in_o the_o rest_n of_o the_o write_n of_o solomon_n the_o which_o do_v not_o very_o well_o agree_v with_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o apostle_n the_o which_o be_v all_o one_o and_o simple_a truth_n as_o with_o one_o afsured_a consent_n the_o learned_a and_o right_a mind_a antiquity_n have_v
