may_v be_v please_v to_o manifest_v his_o truth_n to_o he_o phil._n 3.17_o rom._n 14.1_o 2_o 3_o 4._o four_o but_o if_o a_o man_n hold_v forth_o or_o profess_v any_o error_n or_o false_a way_n with_o a_o boisterous_a and_o arrogant_a spirit_n to_o the_o disturbance_n of_o civil_a peace_n he_o may_v just_o be_v punish_v according_a to_o the_o quality_n and_o measure_n of_o his_o disturbance_n cause_v by_o he_o now_o let_v we_o consider_v of_o your_o reason_n or_o objection_n to_o the_o contrary_n 1._o object_n your_o first_o head_n of_o objection_n be_v take_v from_o the_o scripture_n convert_v or_o at_o best_o with_o some_o jew_n or_o gentile_n in_o the_o church_n who_o though_o carnal_a yet_o be_v not_o convince_v of_o the_o error_n of_o their_o way_n and_o it_o be_v true_a it_o become_v not_o the_o spirit_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o convert_v alien_n to_o the_o faith_n of_o christ_n such_o as_o the_o samaritan_n be_v by_o fire_n and_o brimstone_n nor_o to_o deal_v harsh_o in_o public_a minist●●_n or_o private_a conference_n with_o all_o such_o contrary-minded_n man_n as_o either_o have_v not_o enter_v into_o church-fellowship_n or_o if_o they_o have_v yet_o do_v hitherto_o sin_n of_o ignorance_n not_o against_o conscience_n but_o neither_o of_o both_o these_o do_v hinder_v the_o minister_n of_o the_o gospel_n to_o proceed_v in_o a_o churchway_n against_o church-member_n when_o they_o become_v scandalous_a offender_n either_o in_o life_n or_o doctrine_n much_o less_o do_v they_o speak_v at_o all_o of_o the_o civil_a magistrate_n 4._o object_n from_o the_o prediction_n of_o the_o prophet_n who_o foretold_v that_o carnal_a weapon_n shall_v cease_v in_o the_o day_n of_o the_o gospel_n esa_n 2.4_o &_o 11.9_o micah_n 4.3.4_o and_o the_o apostle_n profess_v the_o weapon_n of_o our_o warfare_n be_v not_o carnal_a 2._o cor._n 10.4_o and_o christ_n be_v so_o far_o from_o persecute_v those_o that_o will_v not_o be_v of_o his_o relgion_n that_o he_o charge_v his_o disciple_n when_o they_o be_v persecute_v themselves_o they_o shall_v pray_v when_o they_o be_v curse_v they_o shall_v bless_v the_o reason_n whereof_o seem_v to_o be_v that_o they_o who_o be_v now_o persecutor_n and_o wicked_a persecutor_n may_v become_v true_a disciple_n and_o convert_n answ_n those_o prediction_n in_o the_o prophet_n do_v only_o show_v first_o with_o what_o kind_n of_o weapon_n he_o will_v subdue_v the_o nation_n to_o the_o obedience_n of_o the_o faith_n of_o the_o gospel_n not_o by_o fire_n and_o sword_n and_o weapon_n of_o war_n but_o by_o the_o power_n of_o the_o word_n
