temporal_o he_o be_v much_o more_o than_o himself_o a_o temporal_a king_n and_o monarch_n peace_n methinks_v also_o if_o that_o commit_v of_o all_o judgement_n to_o the_o son_n john_n 5._o be_v mean_v of_o temporal_a judgement_n in_o spiritual_a thing_n then_o can_v he_o not_o be_v say_v not_o to_o be_v a_o temporal_a king_n then_o can_v he_o not_o be_v say_v when_o those_o word_n be_v speak_v and_o ever_o since_o not_o to_o have_v exercise_v a_o temporal_a government_n the_o contrary_a whereof_o king_n be_v most_o true_a both_o at_o his_o first_o come_n and_o ever_o since_o in_o all_o generation_n it_o have_v be_v his_o portion_n and_o the_o portion_n of_o his_o follower_n to_o be_v judge_v by_o this_o world_n although_o himself_o and_o his_o judge_n the_o world_n spiritual_o and_o will_v short_o pass_v a_o eternal_a sentence_n upon_o all_o the_o child_n of_o man_n peace_n master_n cotton_n add_v this_o will_v not_o set_v up_o a_o civil_a or_o temporal_a israel_n unless_o all_o the_o member_n of_o the_o commonwealth_n be_v compel_v to_o be_v member_n of_o the_o church_n truth_n if_o that_o will_v do_v it_o then_o christ_n must_v be_v a_o temporal_a king_n i_o say_v then_o when_o the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o earth_n shall_v become_v the_o kingdom_n of_o the_o lord_n for_o shall_v not_o the_o king_n of_o the_o earth_n compel_v all_o christ_n sheep_n to_o submit_v unto_o christ_n jesus_n their_o heavenly_a shepherd_n peace_n yea_o second_o will_v it_o not_o prove_v that_o all_o those_o common-weal_n where_o man_n be_v compel_v explicit_o or_o implicit_o to_o be_v member_n of_o the_o church_n be_v holy_a land_n of_o canaan_n and_o if_o so_o oh_o that_o master_n cotton_n and_o other_o worthy_a servant_n of_o god_n may_v timely_o consider_v whether_o a_o explicit_a force_n of_o all_o man_n to_o come_v to_o church_n church_n because_o man_n can_v be_v deny_v to_o be_v member_n at_o least_o by_o implication_n with_o such_o member_n and_o congregation_n with_o who_o they_o do_v ordinary_o assemble_v and_o congregate_v although_o they_o be_v injurious_o indeed_o but_o injurious_o keep_v off_o from_o communion_n and_o participation_n of_o all_o ordinance_n which_o be_v indeed_o their_o right_n and_o due_a if_o they_o be_v though_o but_o implicit_o constrain_v and_o force_v to_o partake_v of_o any_o again_o
13_o to_o the_o rom._n exhort_v unto_o subjection_n to_o magistrate_n and_o love_n to_o all_o man_n which_o table_n be_v duty_n of_o the_o second_o table_n but_o yet_o withal_o he_o answer_v that_o be_v will_v not_o follow_v that_o magistrate_n have_v nothing_o to_o do_v with_o the_o violation_n of_o the_o first_o table_n and_o further_o say_v that_o it_o be_v a_o plain_a case_n that_o among_o if_o people_n be_v bind_v to_o yield_v obedience_n in_o civil_a thing_n to_o civil_a officer_n of_o the_o state_n christian_n be_v much_o more_o bind_v to_o yield_v obedience_n according_a to_o god_n to_o the_o spiritual_a officer_n of_o christ_n kingdom_n but_o how_o weak_a be_v this_o argument_n to_o prove_v that_o therefore_o the_o civil_a officer_n of_o the_o state_n be_v constitute_v ruler_n or_o governor_n preserver_n and_o reformer_n of_o the_o christian_a and_o spiritual_a state_n which_o differ_v as_o much_o from_o the_o civil_a as_o the_o heaven_n be_v out_o of_o the_o reach_n of_o this_o earthly_a globe_n and_o element_n examination_n of_o chap._n xlvii_o peace_n against_o the_o judgement_n of_o those_o bless_a worthy_n allege_v calvin_n and_o beza_n confine_v this_o passage_n fallacy_n in_o the_o term_n of_o unrighteousness_n and_o injury_n which_o be_v twofold_a spiritual_a against_o religion_n or_o spiritual_a state_n civil_a against_o the_o worldly_a or_o civil_a state_n it_o be_v no_o civil_a injury_n which_o he_o grant_v be_v the_o business_n of_o this_o 13_o to_o the_o roman_n in_o matter_n of_o the_o second_o table_n for_o any_o man_n to_o disturb_v or_o oppose_v a_o doctrine_n worship_n or_o government_n spiritual_a christ_n jesus_n and_o his_o disturbance_n messenger_n and_o servant_n do_v and_o do_v profess_v a_o spiritual_a war_n against_o the_o doctrine_n worship_n and_o government_n of_o the_o jewish_a the_o turkish_a and_o other_o pagan_a and_o antichristian_a religion_n of_o all_o sort_n and_o sect_n church_n and_o society_n these_o all_o again_o oppose_v and_o fight_v against_o his_o doctrine_n worship_n government_n and_o yet_o this_o war_n may_v be_v so_o manage_v be_v man_n but_o humane_a civil_a and_o peaceable_a that_o no_o civil_a injury_n may_v be_v commiet_v on_o either_o side_n peace_n we_o may_v then_o well_o take_v up_o as_o master_n cotton_n do_v beza_n own_a word_n on_o rom._n 13._o 4._o the_o civil_a sword_n
