they_o to_o understand_v they_o and_o that_o they_o pray_v for_o its_o assistance_n therein_o pag._n 103._o do_v implicit_o acknowledge_v as_o much_o but_o if_o there_o be_v a_o necessity_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v teach_v in_o order_n to_o a_o right_a understanding_n of_o the_o scripture_n than_o it_o be_v evident_a that_o the_o scripture_n themselves_o be_v not_o able_a to_o make_v wise_a etc._n etc._n without_o the_o help_n and_o assistance_n i._n e._n the_o teach_v and_o revelation_n of_o the_o spirit_n whether_o then_o it_o can_v be_v a_o act_n of_o infidelity_n to_o expect_v that_o which_o there_o be_v so_o great_a a_o necessity_n of_o that_o man_n can_v be_v wise_a unto_o salvation_n without_o it_o i_o leave_v to_o the_o reader_n be_v judgement_n nay_o let_v it_o be_v well_o consider_v see_v christ_n have_v plain_o and_o express_o tell_v we_o that_o he_o will_v send_v the_o comforter_n the_o spirit_n of_o truth_n to_o his_o disciple_n that_o this_o spirit_n shall_v be_v in_o they_o and_o shall_v abide_v with_o they_o forever_o that_o he_o shall_v testify_v of_o christ_n that_o he_o shall_v take_v of_o christ_n and_o show_v it_o unto_o they_o that_o he_o shall_v teach_v they_o all_o thing_n and_o guide_v they_o into_o all_o truth_n as_o appear_v in_o the_o 14_o 15_o &_o 16._o chapter_n of_o john_n i_o say_v let_v it_o be_v well_o consider_v whether_o it_o be_v not_o a_o act_n of_o infidelity_n in_o any_o who_o profess_v themselves_o to_o be_v christ_n disciple_n not_o to_o believe_v and_o expect_v the_o performance_n of_o this_o so_o absolute_a a_o promise_n thus_o far_o as_o to_o the_o infidelity_n of_o expect_v to_o have_v the_o truth_n former_o reveal_v to_o the_o saint_n reveal_v now_o to_o we_o by_o the_o same_o spirit_n by_o which_o they_o be_v then_o reveal_v unto_o they_o which_o i_o take_v to_o be_v the_o mean_v of_o that_o phrase_n of_o he_o a_o repetition_n of_o the_o former_a revelation_n now_o to_o the_o act_n of_o impudence_n for_o he_o say_v to_o look_v for_o a_o repetition_n of_o the_o former_a revelation_n will_v be_v equal_o a_o act_n of_o impudence_n and_o infidelity_n and_o be_v it_o not_o a_o act_n of_o impudence_n say_v he_o
