these_o thing_n nor_o of_o the_o end_n and_o device_n of_o satan_n for_o i_o have_v not_o write_v to_o your_o highness_n because_o you_o know_v not_o the_o truth_n but_o because_o you_o know_v it_o and_o that_o no_o lie_n be_v of_o the_o truth_n and_o again_o be_v also_o confident_a that_o your_o highness_n much_o desire_v and_o be_v exceed_o glad_a of_o all_o opportunity_n and_o mean_n to_o effect_v this_o accordance_n among_o all_o the_o faithful_a minister_n and_o people_n of_o god_n which_o do_v much_o commend_v the_o goodness_n of_o your_o spirit_n through_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n familiar_a spirit_n to_o be_v their_o servant_n he_o ever_o engage_v they_o under_o a_o degree_n of_o blasphemy_n as_o to_o speak_v evil_a of_o god_n or_o christ_n and_o of_o his_o holy_a spirit_n and_o it_o may_v be_v to_o renounce_v and_o curse_v they_o in_o a_o fearful_a manner_n and_o then_o he_o know_v that_o he_o have_v they_o sure_a as_o quit_v from_o under_o the_o protection_n of_o god_n and_o so_o engage_v they_o in_o covenant_n and_o league_n with_o himself_o in_o a_o mutual_a way_n for_o he_o know_v his_o liberty_n and_o commission_n from_o god_n and_o that_o he_o be_v chain_v within_o such_o bound_n and_o limit_n that_o he_o can_v pass_v for_o till_o the_o lord_n have_v deliver_v they_o up_o to_o his_o power_n and_o government_n he_o can_v act_v they_o at_o his_o letter_n and_o the_o bible_n may_v be_v burn_v and_o buy_v and_o sell_v and_o may_v be_v read_v all_o their_o life_n without_o any_o profit_n or_o benefit_n to_o their_o soul_n whereas_o that_o light_n and_o spirit_n within_o they_o be_v of_o a_o eternal_a nature_n and_o a_o infallible_a guide_n so_o that_o obey_v that_o light_n they_o can_v not_o err_v but_o shall_v be_v sure_a of_o perfection_n and_o of_o eternal_a life_n now_o these_o poor_a ignorant_a unstable_a soul_n find_v it_o true_a that_o they_o have_v not_o receive_v any_o great_a benefit_n nor_o life_n and_o comfort_n by_o the_o word_n and_o ministration_n of_o man_n in_o any_o other_o way_n or_o ordinance_n of_o so_o long_a time_n they_o immediate_o embrace_v and_o receive_v their_o doctrine_n and_o so_o fall_v in_o with_o they_o to_o despise_v all_o ordinance_n and_o ministration_n of_o man_n and_o even_o the_o scripture_n itself_o and_o fall_v to_o revile_v they_o and_o call_v they_o carnal_a and_o hireling_n and_o trader_n with_o the_o word_n and_o such_o as_o look_v only_o for_o gain_v from_o their_o quarter_n and_o such_o like_a language_n as_o be_v notorious_o know_v but_o then_o their_o spirit_n within_o teach_v and_o lead_v they_o to_o such_o profaneness_n and_o excessive_a open_a wickedness_n as_o to_o commit_v adultery_n and_o fornication_n and_o to_o father_n the_o same_o on_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n as_o move_v by_o he_o which_o be_v outrageous_a blasphemy_n &_o such_o horrid_a impiety_n that_o no_o man_n almost_o that_o ever_o know_v what_o belong_v unto_o common_a civility_n can_v for_o shame_n own_v they_o or_o their_o way_n or_o doctrine_n but_o cry_v out_o shame_n against_o they_o but_o satan_n perceive_v his_o doctrine_n and_o kingdom_n to_o decay_v by_o reason_n of_o this_o excess_n of_o wickedness_n he_o put_v his_o minister_n into_o another_o garb_n and_o also_o some_o little_a refine_a his_o doctrine_n in_o some_o inferior_a point_n provide_v always_o that_o his_o main_n may_v stand_v to_o wit_n against_o the_o scripture_n and_o the_o teach_n of_o man_n and_o ordinance_n etc._n etc._n and_o that_o they_o shall_v only_o listen_v to_o that_o light_n and_o spirit_n within_o for_o this_o they_o still_o preach_v and_o father_n blasphemous_o on_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n but_o then_o for_o much_o of_o outward_a profaneness_n they_o cry_v out_o against_o as_o much_o as_o possible_a and_o as_o if_o they_o be_v indeed_o the_o minister_n of_o christ_n and_o plead_v extreme_o for_o perfection_n profess_v themselves_o to_o have_v already_o attain_v it_o and_o satan_n have_v so_o far_o mould_v they_o as_o to_o make_v some_o show_n of_o holiness_n and_o of_o humility_n and_o righteousness_n in_o external_a thing_n and_o have_v so_o far_o delude_v they_o as_o that_o some_o of_o they_o think_v and_o be_v full_o persuade_v that_o they_o be_v perfect_a and_o free_a from_o sin_n and_o that_o it_o be_v certain_a that_o it_o be_v no_o other_o but_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n that_o have_v so_o mould_v they_o and_o that_o dwell_v in_o they_o and_o act_v and_o move_v they_o so_o that_o what_o ever_o they_o be_v teach_v or_o move_v unto_o by_o that_o spirit_n they_o dare_v not_o disobey_v nor_o can_v believe_v that_o it_o be_v not_o true_a or_o just_a etc._n etc._n nay_o though_o a_o angel_n from_o he_o even_o shall_v teach_v they_o contrary_n in_o so_o much_o that_o they_o be_v bold_a and_o confident_a in_o the_o maintenance_n of_o their_o doctrine_n and_o ceremony_n and_o way_n as_o if_o they_o be_v certain_o witness_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n as_o be_v publicity_n know_v and_o so_o be_v delude_v themselves_o they_o be_v the_o more_o powerful_a to_o delude_v other_o for_o satan_n act_v they_o at_o pleasure_n and_o they_o be_v spirit_v by_o he_o to_o preach_v and_o pray_v and_o promulgate_v his_o doctrine_n in_o all_o place_n where_o they_o come_v and_o that_o with_o life_n and_o power_n even_o subvert_v whole_a house_n and_o beguile_v many_o unstable_a soul_n first_o by_o work_v they_o up_o to_o a_o dislike_n of_o the_o minister_n and_o then_o of_o all_o ordinance_n and_o then_o of_o the_o scripture_n as_o all_o but_o carnal_a and_o dead_a and_o vain_a and_o unprofitable_a unto_o they_o as_o be_v easy_a to_o do_v with_o those_o who_o never_o love_v they_o and_o then_o they_o bring_v they_o one_o step_n further_o to_o wit_n to_o reproach_n and_o despise_v they_o and_o speak_v evil_a of_o they_o which_o be_v a_o degree_n of_o blasphemy_n and_o then_o they_o be_v leave_v to_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n by_o the_o justice_n of_o god_n and_o so_o be_v spirit_v by_o he_o and_o familiar_o teach_v by_o a_o spirit_n within_o and_o act_v and_o move_v at_o his_o will_n and_o pleasure_n and_o yet_o do_v confident_o believe_v it_o be_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n that_o sometime_o speak_v with_o a_o audible_a voice_n and_o they_o obey_v according_o and_o thus_o poor_a soul_n they_o be_v lead_v blindfold_a with_o the_o strong_a and_o strange_a delusion_n that_o ever_o
observe_v that_o lie_a spirit_n then_o rule_v in_o they_o and_o to_o love_n and_o obey_v and_o follow_v his_o motion_n and_o instigation_n and_o to_o look_v no_o further_o but_o to_o obey_v the_o light_n there_o in_o their_o conscience_n while_o they_o make_v no_o conscience_n of_o any_o sin_n but_o follow_v the_o lust_n of_o their_o flesh_n and_o of_o their_o mind_n be_v by_o nature_n child_n of_o wrath_n even_o as_o other_o see_v ephes_n 1.4_o &_o 2.1_o 2_o 3._o what_o be_v it_o else_o but_o to_o advise_v they_o to_o obey_v satan_n and_o let_v he_o keep_v his_o hold_n while_o he_o have_v it_o and_o what_o better_a way_n to_o persuade_v they_o to_o it_o can_v either_o satan_n or_o the_o quaker_n devise_v then_o to_o keep_v they_o from_o search_v the_o scripture_n or_o get_v knowledge_n thereby_o to_o discern_v of_o spirit_n and_o so_o then_o to_o persuade_v they_o that_o it_o be_v no_o other_o but_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n that_o work_v in_o they_o and_o give_v they_o light_a and_o what_o more_o politic_a way_n can_v satan_n devise_v to_o make_v they_o so_o believe_v then_o to_o move_v and_o incline_v they_o to_o forsake_v their_o gross_a sin_n and_o carry_v themselves_o in_o a_o humble_a selfe-denying_a posture_n like_o holy_a man_n for_o such_o who_o have_v be_v educate_v where_o the_o scripture_n be_v read_v and_o the_o gospel_n preach_v he_o can_v hardly_o deceive_v they_o any_o other_o way_n to_o make_v they_o believe_v that_o he_o be_v not_o satan_n but_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n but_o when_o he_o have_v once_o do_v that_o he_o can_v rule_v at_o pleasure_n and_o act_v they_o at_o pleasure_n in_o all_o other_o respect_n and_o puff_n they_o up_o with_o spiritual_a pride_n and_o imperiousness_n and_o disdain_n of_o other_o and_o to_o think_v themselves_o the_o only_o spirit_v man_n above_o all_o other_o after_o satan_n have_v wrought_v a_o change_n in_o they_o and_o make_v they_o a_o little_a more_o active_a and_o spiritful_a then_o former_o they_o be_v in_o their_o dead_a condition_n but_o than_o what_o ever_o lie_v he_o find_v most_o useful_a for_o maintain_v his_o kingdom_n he_o easy_o persuade_v they_o they_o be_v truth_n of_o god_n and_o inspire_v into_o they_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n which_o they_o think_v be_v in_o they_o for_o if_o ever_o he_o get_v they_o up_o to_o that_o conceit_n of_o themselves_o that_o they_o be_v infallible_o guide_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n which_o be_v indeed_o infallible_a than_o they_o never_o care_v nor_o regard_n at_o all_o what_o the_o scripture_n witness_v nor_o what_o any_o man_n say_v by_o way_n of_o contradiction_n to_o what_o they_o hold_v but_o be_v ready_a to_o cry_v out_o against_o they_o as_o blasphemer_n and_o resister_n of_o the_o spirit_n that_o do_v but_o in_o meekness_n and_o wisdom_n from_o scripture-ground_n oppose_v their_o doctrine_n and_o way_n and_o blasphemy_n which_o they_o hold_v and_o maintain_v be_v most_o implacable_o malicious_a against_o any_o that_o oppose_v they_o and_o call_v they_o but_o as_o they_o be_v a_o seduce_a people_n turn_v after_o satan_n blasphemous_o reproach_v the_o minister_n of_o god_n and_o all_o his_o saint_n that_o approve_v not_o their_o doctrine_n and_o work_n and_o way_n as_o have_v be_v show_v before_o and_o how_o clear_a a_o blasphemy_n be_v it_o to_o father_n such_o wicked_a assertion_n on_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o to_o profess_v themselves_o move_v thereunto_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n when_o if_o the_o scripture_n be_v true_a it_o be_v certain_o true_a that_o they_o be_v wicked_a lie_n and_o therefore_o must_v needs_o proceed_v from_o the_o father_n of_o lie_n and_o not_o from_o god_n and_o that_o they_o be_v lie_n and_o that_o dangerous_a and_o blasphemous_a be_v clear_o prove_v already_o and_o i_o hope_v satisfactory_o to_o any_o rational_a apprehension_n object_n but_o it_o will_v be_v say_v against_o all_o this_o that_o without_o all_o question_n there_o be_v something_o in_o these_o man_n more_o than_o ordinary_a and_o more_o than_o be_v in_o they_o before_o for_o they_o be_v so_o spirit_v for_o act_v in_o their_o way_n and_o to_o maintain_v their_o doctrine_n and_o principle_n and_o be_v find_v to_o be_v so_o quaint_a and_o witty_a more_o than_o what_o they_o be_v or_o have_v before_o that_o it_o be_v clear_a they_o be_v act_v by_o some_o spirit_n or_o other_o which_o they_o be_v persuade_v be_v the_o spirit_n of_o god_n as_o appear_v by_o their_o boldness_n and_o confidence_n and_o come_v to_o the_o light_n and_o their_o zeal_n and_o selfe-deniall_n which_o for_o the_o most_o part_n be_v evident_a in_o they_o and_o therefore_o how_o can_v this_o be_v from_o any_o false_a or_o lie_a spirit_n which_o make_v they_o so_o bold_a and_o confident_a and_o that_o to_o come_v to_o the_o light_n that_o their_o deed_n may_v be_v make_v manifest_a that_o they_o be_v wrought_v in_o god_n and_o they_o be_v so_o expert_a in_o scripture_n as_o few_o christian_n be_v like_o they_o and_o that_o as_o they_o think_v by_o inspiration_n from_o god_n they_o have_v not_o be_v so_o before_o but_o dull_a and_o uncapable_a and_o such_o as_o can_v learn_v nothing_o of_o that_o nature_n but_o be_v utter_o non-proficients_a in_o the_o school_n of_o christianity_n and_o know_v nothing_o at_o all_o but_o be_v as_o deaf_a or_o dead_a man_n under_o spiritual_a ministration_n and_o therefore_o how_o can_v this_o change_v come_v and_o how_o come_v they_o by_o this_o renovation_n and_o this_o spirit_n and_o zeal_n and_o boldness_n and_o confidence_n thus_o above_o ordinary_a and_o to_o plead_v for_o so_o many_o good_a thing_n and_o sharp_o rebuke_v and_o reprove_v so_o many_o evil_a thing_n be_v it_o possible_a that_o this_o spirit_n shall_v not_o be_v of_o god_n but_o a_o delude_a spirit_n how_o can_v this_o be_v or_o come_v to_o pass_v i_o answer_v that_o it_o can_v be_v no_o other_o but_o a_o delude_a spirit_n the_o which_o as_o i_o conceive_v they_o obtain_v by_o such_o mean_n and_o proceed_n as_o i_o shall_v name_v and_o i_o desire_v they_o will_v search_v their_o own_o heart_n whether_o it_o be_v not_o so_o with_o they_o that_o so_o if_o they_o be_v delude_v they_o may_v forsake_v and_o renounce_v that_o delude_a spirit_n and_o so_o deliver_v themselves_o out_o of_o the_o snare_n of_o the_o devil_n that_o be_v take_v captive_a by_o he_o at_o his_o will_n and_o pleasure_n and_o first_o let_v they_o but_o examine_v themselves_o whether_o they_o be_v not_o of_o those_o that_o have_v hear_v the_o scripture_n read_v and_o open_v and_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n hold_v forth_o by_o and_o from_o they_o which_o now_o they_o own_o and_o witness_v too_o but_o whether_o they_o be_v not_o then_o of_o those_o that_o receive_v not_o those_o truth_n in_o love_n but_o have_v pleasure_n in_o unrighteousness_n and_o if_o so_o whether_o there_o be_v not_o cause_n of_o jealousy_n lest_o god_n have_v purposely_o send_v they_o strong_a delusion_n for_o that_o very_a cause_n and_o second_o whether_o they_o be_v not_o first_o wrought_v up_o to_o a_o implacable_a malignity_n against_o the_o they_o hireling_n and_o priest_n of_o ball_n and_o covetous_a and_o carnal_a and_o such_o like_a language_n as_o they_o give_v they_o now_o which_o we_o do_v account_n as_o a_o degree_n of_o blaphemie_n for_o he_o that_o speak_v evil_a of_o the_o minister_n of_o christ_n speak_v evil_a of_o he_o and_o what_o be_v blasphemy_n but_o speak_v evil_a of_o god_n or_o christ_n or_o of_o his_o word_n or_o way_n or_o ordinance_n or_o people_n but_o if_o so_o and_o that_o they_o receive_v that_o spirit_n within_o they_o upon_o act_v according_a to_o such_o principle_n which_o they_o can_v never_o clear_v from_o a_o degree_n of_o blasphemy_n may_v they_o not_o well_o be_v jealous_a that_o god_n have_v deliver_v they_o up_o to_o the_o power_n of_o satan_n to_o be_v spirit_v and_o guide_v and_o act_v by_o he_o at_o his_o will_n and_o pleasure_n and_o be_v it_o not_o very_o likely_a that_o it_o be_v thus_o with_o they_o and_o that_o their_o blasphemy_n be_v the_o cause_n why_o they_o be_v so_o delude_v with_o a_o false_a spirit_n in_o stead_n of_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n and_o be_v it_o not_o just_a with_o god_n thus_o to_o give_v they_o up_o that_o receive_v not_o his_o truth_n in_o love_n and_o how_o certain_a be_v it_o that_o they_o never_o receive_v the_o truth_n in_o love_n that_o love_v not_o the_o messenger_n and_o minister_n of_o it_o but_o can_v so_o easy_o and_o bitter_o revile_v and_o reproach_v they_o and_o not_o they_o only_o but_o all_o
that_o in_o every_o place_n the_o spirit_n witness_v that_o bond_n and_o affliction_n abode_n for_o he_o and_o agabus_n signify_v the_o same_o to_o he_o and_o in_o those_o day_n it_o be_v say_v of_o be_v not_o in_o he_o and_o though_o i_o allow_v not_o myself_o in_o any_o of_o these_o thing_n but_o desire_v and_o pray_v to_o he_o that_o have_v power_n to_o help_v and_o deliver_v i_o in_o these_o respect_n that_o i_o may_v get_v victory_n and_o full_a conquest_n yet_o i_o have_v not_o attain_v it_o unto_o this_o day_n and_o whether_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n have_v so_o determine_v it_o that_o it_o shall_v yet_o be_v thus_o because_o his_o power_n be_v make_v perfect_a through_o weakness_n as_o he_o say_v to_o the_o apostle_n or_o it_o be_v because_o of_o the_o weakness_n of_o infallible_o guide_v by_o that_o infallible_a spirit_n yea_o or_o no_o in_o all_o thing_n that_o they_o do_v now_o though_o i_o shall_v confess_v that_o what_o he_o speak_v or_o write_v be_v move_v thereto_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v infallible_o true_a and_o it_o may_v true_o be_v call_v the_o word_n of_o god_n if_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n have_v speak_v it_o by_o he_o yet_o when_o he_o speak_v or_o write_v that_o which_o be_v not_o true_a but_o quite_o contradiction_n to_o the_o law_n and_o testimony_n and_o that_o i_o know_v it_o so_o to_o be_v i_o shall_v never_o confess_v that_o he_o be_v move_v thereunto_o by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n but_o that_o he_o have_v do_v it_o presumptuous_o out_o of_o the_o vision_n of_o his_o own_o heart_n or_o by_o satan_n instigation_n they_o hear_v of_o a_o good_a bargain_n either_o of_o land_n or_o merchandise_n how_o industrious_a they_o will_v be_v to_o buy_v it_o themselves_o and_o to_o prevent_v other_o and_o sometime_o to_o defeat_v and_o beguile_v their_o neighbour_n to_o get_v it_o before_o they_o or_o take_v it_o out_o of_o their_o hand_n and_o very_o injurious_o be_v so_o covetous_a of_o it_o but_o christ_n have_v promise_v we_o not_o only_o ten_o in_o the_o hundred_o but_o a_o hundred_o for_o ten_o nay_o a_o hundred_o fold_n in_o this_o present_a life_n beside_o in_o the_o world_n to_o come_v life_n
