object_n they_o be_v not_o sin_n in_o their_o moral_a nature_n as_o they_o ought_v to_o be_v do_v but_o they_o be_v so_o as_o do_v by_o we_o answ_n god_n have_v not_o choose_v we_o unto_o they_o as_o they_o be_v consider_v only_o in_o his_o command_n but_o he_o have_v choose_v we_o unto_o they_o as_o they_o be_v to_o be_v act_v and_o do_v by_o we_o as_o it_o be_v plain_a by_o the_o word_n of_o see_v the_o dew_n of_o heaven_n fall_v upon_o the_o herb_n after_o they_o be_v wither_v and_o almost_o dead_a by_o the_o parch_a heat_n of_o the_o sun_n they_o again_o wax_v green_a and_o flourish_v so_o when_o we_o have_v lie_v wither_v in_o the_o grave_n the_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n shall_v be_v as_o the_o dew_n of_o heaven_n upon_o we_o he_o shall_v come_v down_o in_o his_o power_n and_o put_v a_o new_a life_n into_o we_o and_o after_o death_n we_o shall_v be_v raise_v to_o a_o life_n of_o glory_n for_o thy_o dew_n be_v as_o the_o dew_n of_o herb_n then_o in_o the_o next_o place_n do_v consider_v that_o though_o there_o be_v many_o that_o make_v profession_n of_o christ_n and_o of_o a_o resurrection_n yet_o there_o be_v few_o that_o believe_v in_o christ_n or_o that_o believe_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o resurrection_n dare_v man_n live_v in_o all_o wickedness_n ungodliness_n and_o impiety_n dare_v they_o venture_v to_o carry_v the_o load_n of_o their_o sin_n with_o they_o to_o the_o grave_n when_o they_o come_v to_o lie_v on_o their_o deathbed_n and_o never_o be_v trouble_v for_o their_o sin_n never_o be_v trouble_v for_o their_o good_n unjust_o get_v be_v it_o possible_a that_o man_n can_v live_v thus_o and_o die_v in_o this_o sottish_a and_o senseless_a condition_n do_v they_o indeed_o and_o in_o truth_n believe_v there_o be_v a_o resurrection_n second_o because_o i_o have_v meet_v with_o perverse_a people_n in_o the_o city_n who_o do_v with_o boldness_n oppose_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o resurrection_n true_o we_o need_v not_o i_o speak_v a_o untruth_n in_o this_o place_n at_o this_o present_a for_o impiety_n have_v get_v such_o a_o brazen_a face_n that_o it_o come_v forth_o in_o the_o light_n and_o though_o man_n have_v profess_v christ_n and_o religion_n and_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o resurrection_n so_o long_o yet_o how_o many_o be_v there_o now_o that_o deny_v that_o ever_o christ_n come_v in_o the_o flesh_n or_o that_o there_o shall_v be_v a_o resurrection_n of_o body_n at_o the_o great_a day_n therefore_o i_o think_v i_o be_v bind_v in_o conscience_n if_o i_o will_v deal_v upright_o in_o employ_v that_o a_o principle_n of_o spiritual_a pride_n some_o of_o these_o thought_n that_o they_o have_v a_o great_a deal_n of_o knowledge_n wisdom_n and_o understanding_n and_o that_o they_o understand_v as_o much_o of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n and_o mystery_n of_o the_o gospel_n as_o be_v necessary_a that_o they_o have_v hear_v as_o much_o of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o justification_n as_o any_o can_v preach_v of_o it_o and_o of_o the_o resurrection_n as_o any_o can_v speak_v they_o know_v as_o they_o suppose_v what_o this_o man_n speak_v and_o what_o the_o other_o preach_v what_o this_o man_n judgement_n be_v what_o author_n do_v write_v and_o they_o know_v perfect_o as_o they_o imagine_v whatsoever_o lie_v in_o the_o scripture_n to_o be_v embrace_v for_o truth_n and_o by_o their_o pride_n do_v surfeit_v of_o their_o knowledge_n suppose_v that_o they_o know_v all_o point_n of_o the_o gospel_n when_o in_o deed_n and_o in_o truth_n they_o know_v nothing_o of_o the_o gospel_n save_o spiritual_o or_o practical_o so_o that_o as_o the_o people_n of_o israel_n come_v to_o loath_a manna_n and_o lust_v after_o other_o food_n so_o these_o be_v puff_v up_o with_o spiritual_a pride_n begin_v to_o loathe_v the_o heavenly_a manna_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o disesteem_v it_o for_o the_o plainness_n and_o simplicity_n that_o be_v in_o it_o and_o nothing_o now_o will_v please_v they_o but_o new_a fancy_n therefore_o they_o must_v have_v sermon_n dress_v in_o another_o fashion_n new_o cook_v new_a notion_n and_o new_a conceit_n and_o anything_o that_o be_v new_a please_v they_o better_o than_o the_o old_a and_o ancient_a truth_n of_o the_o lord_n jesus_n but_o when_o god_n teach_v a_o man_n to_o understand_v the_o gospel_n aright_o the_o more_o he_o know_v the_o gospel_n the_o more_o he_o see_v his_o ignorance_n of_o the_o gospel_n that_o man_n see_v he_o never_o learn_v the_o doctrine_n of_o justification_n full_o that_o man_n see_v that_o he_o have_v not_o sufficient_o learn_v the_o doctrine_n of_o sanctification_n this_o man_n look_v not_o on_o his_o knowledge_n mere_o as_o it_o be_v speculative_a but_o as_o it_o be_v practical_a when_o he_o see_v of_o sanctification_n when_o he_o find_v sadness_n in_o his_o spirit_n o_o say_v he_o there_o be_v more_o in_o the_o gospel_n concern_v the_o spirit_n of_o joy_n and_o consolation_n than_o i_o have_v attain_v to_o when_o he_o read_v sundry_a enigmatical_a and_o difficult_a place_n of_o the_o prophet_n and_o in_o the_o revelation_n and_o have_v nor_o attain_v to_o the_o spiritual_a meaning_n of_o a_o doctrine_n of_o great_a joy_n so_o it_o be_v a_o doctrine_n that_o oblige_v we_o to_o great_a holiness_n the_o doctrine_n of_o christ_n in_o every_o part_n and_o branch_n of_o it_o lead_v to_o holiness_n if_o thou_o meet_v with_o any_o tenant_n or_o opinion_n that_o further_v not_o holiness_n look_v on_o that_o opinion_n as_o a_o error_n for_o whatsoever_o be_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o lord_n it_o be_v a_o truth_n that_o lead_v we_o to_o holiness_n of_o life_n and_o conversation_n so_o do_v this_o doctrine_n of_o the_o resurrection_n for_o if_o we_o consider_v serious_o that_o the_o he_o shall_v awake_v at_o the_o resurrection_n to_o be_v fill_v with_o joy_n to_o be_v crown_v as_o a_o king_n with_o immortal_a glory_n the_o other_o shall_v awake_v and_o howl_v as_o agag_n when_o
