than_o these_o that_o be_v to_o be_v see_v in_o affliction_n and_o correction_n and_o if_o we_o can_v see_v in_o they_o his_o love_n till_o the_o thick_a scale_n of_o our_o ignorance_n be_v pull_v from_o the_o eye_n of_o our_o mind_n and_o understanding_n how_o shall_v we_o perceive_v that_o he_o assay_v our_o good_a therem_fw-la till_o the_o same_o also_o be_v remove_v and_o take_v away_o tend_v to_o the_o manifestation_n of_o most_o excellent_a thing_n in_o god_n himself_o for_o example_n his_o great_a power_n his_o gracious_a providence_n his_o perfect_a justice_n his_o heavenly_a wisdom_n and_o mercy_n more_o than_o fatherly_a yea_o more_o than_o can_v be_v speak_v or_o think_v of_o and_o to_o the_o declaration_n of_o many_o foul_a and_o fearful_a corruption_n that_o lie_v lurk_v in_o we_o and_o altogether_o serve_v for_o our_o christian_a admonition_n and_o instruction_n as_o well_o for_o that_o which_o be_v past_a and_o present_a as_o also_o for_o all_o time_n hereafter_o to_o come_v special_o if_o we_o have_v eye_n to_o see_v the_o way_n of_o god_n in_o his_o work_n or_o heart_n to_o tremble_v at_o his_o judgement_n or_o mind_n that_o can_v be_v affect_v with_o his_o favour_n or_o any_o grace_n and_o ability_n to_o make_v good_a use_n either_o of_o the_o one_o or_o of_o the_o other_o for_o tell_v i_o i_o pray_v you_o first_o be_v not_o this_o a_o plain_a proof_n of_o his_o power_n upon_o so_o small_a beginning_n to_o make_v so_o great_a a_o flame_n and_o waste_a fire_n to_o execute_v his_o judgement_n by_o so_o weak_a instrument_n and_o mean_n to_o raise_v up_o the_o creature_n for_o the_o further_o disperse_v of_o the_o judgement_n to_o accomplish_v his_o own_o purpose_n and_o counsel_n in_o so_o short_a a_o season_n and_o small_a a_o time_n to_o strike_v such_o fear_n and_o amazednes_n into_o the_o mind_n not_o only_o of_o weak_a woman_n and_o little_a child_n but_o of_o man_n who_o seem_v to_o have_v more_o courage_n and_o wisdom_n that_o their_o head_n shall_v not_o be_v able_a to_o devise_v what_o be_v most_o profitable_a nor_o their_o hand_n fit_a to_o execute_v any_o thing_n to_o speak_v of_o in_o comparison_n if_o any_o and_o every_o one_o of_o these_o be_v evident_a declaration_n of_o his_o might_n and_o majesty_n what_o then_o be_v all_o these_o together_o but_o strong_a instrument_n more_o effectual_o to_o persuade_v our_o heart_n in_o his_o all-working_a and_o almighty_a power_n and_o do_v not_o this_o show_v his_o wonderful_a providence_n that_o he_o do_v not_o only_o bear_v the_o person_n of_o all_o and_o every_o one_o of_o they_o as_o it_o be_v upon_o the_o wing_n of_o his_o gracious_a goodness_n so_o as_o we_o may_v by_o a_o manner_n of_o speech_n say_v and_o confess_v it_o to_o the_o glory_n of_o his_o name_n and_o the_o strengthen_n of_o our_o persuasion_n in_o trouble_n against_o time_n to_o come_v that_o not_o one_o of_o they_o do_v so_o much_o as_o dash_v his_o foot_n against_o a_o stone_n but_o spare_v much_o of_o that_o that_o the_o fire_n have_v as_o we_o may_v say_v lay_v hand_n on_o and_o the_o flame_n no_o doubt_n will_v have_v consume_v that_o that_o it_o have_v fearful_o take_v hold_n of_o have_v not_o he_o restrain_v it_o and_o keep_v it_o as_o it_o be_v in_o his_o fist_n do_v not_o this_o argue_v hisiustice_n in_o strike_v for_o sin_n he_o that_o know_v god_n nature_n will_v easy_o give_v glory_n to_o god_n in_o it_o and_o confess_v the_o truth_n for_o we_o know_v by_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o word_n and_o our_o experience_n and_o observation_n in_o the_o world_n that_o he_o delight_v not_o in_o punish_v the_o son_n of_o man_n and_o if_o their_o transgression_n be_v not_o as_o it_o be_v gable_n rope_n to_o hale_v down_o judgement_n sure_o man_n shall_v never_o taste_v of_o this_o howsoever_o it_o may_v be_v always_o in_o the_o divine_a nature_n nay_o i_o will_v say_v more_o may_v we_o not_o as_o well_o in_o the_o manner_n of_o the_o judgement_n as_o in_o the_o judgement_n itself_o yea_o in_o the_o very_a thing_n strike_v with_o his_o wrath_n behold_v the_o haude_v of_o god_n punish_v the_o sin_n of_o man_n in_o those_o member_n and_o matter_n they_o have_v most_o abuse_v to_o licentiousness_n and_o evil_n yea_o to_o speak_v more_o plain_o of_o this_o particular_a be_v it_o not_o a_o token_n of_o wrath_n from_o above_o by_o fire_n to_o consume_v their_o bread_n meat_n and_o strong_a drink_n that_o they_o have_v prepare_v against_o the_o fair_a thereby_o to_o put_v they_o in_o mind_n how_o they_o have_v offend_v yea_o do_v offend_v notwithstanding_o this_o chastisement_n and_o correction_n in_o abuse_v these_o blessing_n to_o gourmandise_n and_o drunkenness_n and_o do_v not_o this_o manifest_a his_o wisdom_n that_o in_o that_o outward_a judgement_n he_o have_v scourge_v as_o sundry_a profane_a and_o careless_a man_n so_o some_o also_o that_o in_o some_o measure_n do_v unfeigned_o fear_v his_o name_n hearty_o love_v his_o truth_n and_o careful_o walk_v in_o obedience_n of_o his_o will_n
measure_n and_o manner_n &_o fearful_o consume_v both_o bough_n and_o branch_n root_n and_o body_n trunk_n stock_n and_o all_o in_o a_o day_n and_o if_o this_o be_v the_o state_n and_o condition_n of_o the_o generality_n as_o indeed_o it_o be_v what_o shall_v become_v of_o the_o particular_n the_o whole_a body_n consist_v of_o they_o as_o it_o be_v of_o several_a part_n but_o that_o they_o also_o must_v remain_v under_o the_o same_o judgement_n to_o you_o therefore_o that_o now_o be_v under_o this_o hand_n &_o hammer_v of_o god_n heavy_a indignation_n be_v it_o that_o i_o write_v and_o favour_n to_o have_v spare_v you_o so_o long_o and_o that_o it_o be_v his_o more_o than_o common_a mercy_n that_o you_o be_v not_o all_o consume_v what_o have_v be_v threaten_v against_o you_o out_o of_o god_n word_n you_o can_v be_v ignorant_a of_o what_o punishment_n have_v light_a upon_o you_o by_o the_o plague_n the_o small_a pock_n and_o now_o this_o last_o fearful_a fire_n you_o can_v but_o the_o name_n of_o the_o lord_n able_a to_o convince_v you_o of_o falsehood_n to_o your_o face_n and_o to_o throw_v the_o dounge_n of_o your_o iniquity_n upon_o your_o countenance_n give_v they_o therefore_o leave_v to_o declare_v the_o truth_n to_o you_o and_o labour_n to_o bear_v with_o patience_n and_o to_o profit_v by_o the_o word_n of_o exhortation_n since_o it_o be_v direct_v to_o you_o for_o your_o good_a and_o unfeigned_a humiliation_n also_o for_o they_o know_v you_o and_o your_o offence_n far_o better_a than_o you_o yourselves_o perhaps_o you_o will_v think_v this_o speech_n your_o favour_n both_o way_n not_o far_o inferior_a to_o any_o congregation_n of_o the_o land_n and_o in_o these_o respect_n indeed_o go_v before_o many_o it_o have_v be_v well_o but_o how_o little_a
