the_o light_n of_o the_o spirit_n in_o their_o teach_n and_o operation_n yea_o very_o much_o if_o i_o have_v word_n to_o express_v myself_o though_o i_o be_o 〈◊〉_d condemn_a person_n by_o a_o jury_n of_o eleven_o and_o though_o it_o be_v account_v 〈◊〉_d divination_n of_o my_o own_o brain_n it_o matter_n not_o what_o be_v the_o difference_n 1._o the_o light_n of_o the_o spirit_n esteem_v reckon_v or_o prize_v the_o personal-obedience_n of_o christ_n 1600._o year_n ago_o viz._n his_o keep_n of_o the_o law_n in_o every_o point_n he_o have_v fulfil_v the_o law_n in_o our_o nature_n that_o know_v teach_n and_o direction_n nay_o i_o scarce_o know_v one_o gospel-truth_n but_o this_o common-light_n contradict_v yet_o the_o teacher_n of_o this_o light_n come_v with_o the_o word_n of_o this_o glorious_a gospel_n so_o that_o word_n be_v true_a which_o have_v comfort_v i_o many_o a_o time_n and_o may_v comfort_v other_o viz._n if_o it_o be_v possible_a the_o very_a elect_n shall_v be_v deceive_v but_o notwithstanding_o all_o the_o subtlety_n of_o satan_n it_o be_v not_o possible_a but_o far_o the_o spirit_n cause_v a_o high_a repentance_n than_o the_o common-light_n such_o a_o repentance_n such_o a_o change_n in_o the_o will_n that_o the_o saint_n even_o loath_a their_o own_o body_n they_o be_v as_o it_o be_v weary_a of_o they_o because_o of_o the_o corruption_n that_o dwell_v in_o they_o though_o the_o power_n of_o it_o be_v break_v that_o it_o do_v not_o rule_n and_o reign_v over_o they_o not_o because_o they_o will_v be_v justify_v by_o a_o righteousness_n wherein_o they_o will_v live_v as_o paul_n witness_v 1_o cor._n 4.4_o but_o that_o they_o may_v glorify_v god_n more_o in_o their_o generation_n that_o they_o may_v be_v for_o the_o praise_n of_o his_o name_n that_o have_v redeem_v they_o but_o the_o common-light_n work_v a_o change_n in_o the_o life_n and_o conversation_n to_o merit_v eternal_a life_n by_o and_o to_o get_v into_o the_o love_n and_o favour_n of_o god_n so_o that_o there_o be_v not_o so_o clear_a a_o love_n nor_o so_o free_a a_o will_v to_o walk_v in_o the_o commandment_n of_o the_o lord_n as_o be_v in_o the_o gospel-repentance_n wrought_v by_o the_o spirit_n as_o may_v plain_o appear_v by_o what_o william_n baily_n say_v in_o the_o 35._o pag._n of_o his_o book_n viz._n if_o so_o be_v the_o father_n have_v pour_v out_o all_o his_o wrath_n upon_o his_o son_n there_o be_v no_o need_n to_o fear_v miscarriage_n and_o again_o he_o say_v if_o so_o the_o devil_n may_v play_v what_o card_n he_o will_n now_o they_o view_v the_o three_o distinction_n in_o those_o word_n v._o 14._o he_o shall_v glorify_v i_o for_o he_o shall_v receive_v of_o i_o and_o show_v it_o unto_o you_o 1._o i_o consider_v who_o
