and_o vers_n 20._o mic._n 3._o 8._o to_o which_o we_o shall_v not_o enlarge_v any_o further_a because_o we_o have_v speak_v so_o large_o in_o show_v the_o answerableness_n of_o the_o spirit_n unto_o wine_n before_o nor_o indeed_o be_o i_o in_o a_o meet_a capacity_n to_o speak_v any_o thing_n hereabout_o because_o i_o be_o not_o fill_v therewith_o myself_o and_o therefore_o do_v but_o darken_v counsel_n by_o word_n without_o knowledge_n iv_o we_o come_v in_o the_o last_o place_n brief_o to_o note_v some_o instruction_n from_o this_o exhortation_n of_o the_o apostle_n be_v you_o fill_v with_o the_o spirit_n namely_o i._o that_o even_o the_o believeres_fw-la themselves_o which_o have_v receive_v the_o holy_a spirit_n and_o have_v be_v seal_v therewith_o unto_o the_o day_n of_o redemption_n may_v not_o be_v fill_v or_o so_o fill_v with_o the_o holy_a spirit_n as_o god_n will_v have_v they_o to_o be_v as_o be_v before_o signify_v in_o what_o we_o have_v say_v these_o be_v believer_n and_o have_v receive_v this_o good_a spirit_n in_o some_o measure_n and_o yet_o they_o be_v instruct_v and_o exhort_v to_o be_v fill_v therewith_o and_o make_v more_o spiritual_a thereby_o the_o believe_a corinthian_n be_v baptise_a into_o one_o body_n and_o make_v to_o drink_v into_o one_o spirit_n and_o yet_o they_o be_v not_o fill_v with_o the_o spirit_n for_o the_o apostle_n can_v not_o speak_v unto_o they_o as_o unto_o spiritual_a one_o but_o as_o carnal_a as_o unto_o babe_n in_o christ_n 1_o cor._n 12._o 13._o with_o chap._n 3._o 13_a the_o believe_a hebrew_n though_o in_o receive_v the_o word_n of_o christ_n they_o receive_v his_o spirit_n yet_o alas_o they_o still_o need_v to_o be_v teach_v which_o be_v the_o first_o principle_n of_o the_o oracle_n of_o god_n and_o be_v become_v such_o as_o have_v need_n of_o milk_n and_o not_o of_o strong_a meat_n through_o their_o dulness_n of_o hear_v and_o slowness_n of_o heart_n to_o believe_v the_o first_o and_o great_a thing_n of_o god_n law_n the_o word_n of_o the_o begin_n of_o christ_n the_o apostle_n know_v not_o well_o how_o to_o speak_v unto_o they_o of_o the_o high-priesthood_n of_o christ_n his_o sacrifice_n which_o he_o have_v offer_v his_o mediation_n in_o the_o heaven_n and_o advocation_n for_o believer_n his_o come_n again_o with_o the_o high_a act_n and_o work_n of_o faith_n etc._n etc._n heb._n 5._o 10-14_a and_o 6._o 1_o 2_o etc._n etc._n the_o thessalonian-believer_n though_o they_o receive_v the_o word_n in_o much_o affliction_n with_o joy_n of_o the_o holy_a spirit_n yet_o there_o be_v want_n find_v in_o their_o faith_n and_o therefore_o the_o apostle_n do_v pray_v night_n and_o day_n exceed_o that_o he_o may_v see_v their_o face_n and_o may_v perfect_v that_o which_o be_v lack_v in_o their_o faith_n 1_o thes_n 1._o 2-6-10_a and_o 2._o 13._o and_o 3._o 10._o there_o may_v be_v much_o or_o somewhat_o lack_v in_o they_o that_o have_v receive_v this_o good_a spirit_n as_o to_o their_o be_v fill_v therewith_o there_o may_v be_v somewhat_o want_v in_o their_o knowledge_n faith_n establishment_n rejoice_v confidence_n consolation_n in_o christ_n conformity_n unto_o christ_n conversation_n etc._n etc._n they_o may_v be_v and_o some_o of_o they_o be_v but_o little_a child_n and_o other_o though_o they_o be_v young_a man_n yet_o still_o they_o may_v receive_v and_o dirnk_v in_o more_o and_o more_o of_o this_o spirit_n in_o the_o testimony_n of_o christ_n yea_o and_o the_o full_a may_v yet_o be_v full_a while_o they_o be_v here_o in_o mortal_a body_n for_o they_o receive_v here_o but_o some_o first_o fruit_n of_o the_o spirit_n rom._n 8._o 23._o and_o this_o instruction_n may_v be_v of_o usefulness_n unto_o we_o 1._o to_o warn_v and_o admonish_v we_o all_o to_o take_v heed_n and_o beware_v of_o highmindedness_a and_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o think_v of_o ourselves_o more_o high_o than_o we_o ought_v to_o think_v but_o to_o think_v sober_o as_o god_n have_v deal_v to_o every_o man_n the_o measure_n of_o faith_n rom._n 12._o 2._o 3._o a_o sad_a and_o dangerous_a thing_n it_o be_v for_o we_o all_o to_o think_v and_o say_v we_o be_v rich_a and_o increase_v with_o good_n and_o have_v need_n of_o nothing_o this_o be_v the_o highway_n so_o to_o provoke_v christ_n as_o to_o cause_v he_o to_o spew_v we_o out_o of_o his_o mouth_n rev._n 3_o 15-17_a we_o have_v none_o of_o we_o yet_o attain_v nor_o be_v we_o already_o perfect_a as_o to_o attainment_n philip._n 3._o 12_o 13._o alas_o how_o short_a be_v we_o in_o every_o thing_n we_o have_v cause_n continual_o to_o cry_v out_o and_o complain_v of_o and_z and_o bewail_v our_o leanness_n emptiness_n blindness_n instability_n in_o the_o faith_n inconformity_n to_o christ_n oh_o be_v we_o not_o high-minded_a think_v we_o not_o more_o high_o of_o ourselves_o than_o be_v meet_v for_o that_o will_v hinder_v we_o from_o come_v continual_o unto_o christ_n who_o be_v the_o fountain_n of_o life_n and_o spirit_n and_o all_o spiritual_a blessing_n 2._o this_o instruction_n show_v unto_o we_o and_o inform_v we_o that_o the_o receipt_n of_o the_o spirit_n be_v a_o gradual_a thing_n it_o be_v not_o whole_o receive_v at_o once_o but_o the_o light_n and_o spirit_n of_o christ_n be_v receive_v and_o shine_v more_o and_o more_o unto_o the_o perfect_a day_n prov._n 4._o 18._o they_o who_o have_v obtain_v like_o precious_a faith_n with_o the_o apostle_n and_o know_v and_o be_v establish_v in_o the_o word_n of_o truth_n the_o gospel_n of_o our_o salvation_n may_v grow_v in_o grace_n and_o in_o the_o knowledge_n of_o our_o lord_n and_o saviour_n jesus_n christ_n 2_o pet._n 1._o 1-12_a with_o chap._n 3._o 18._o they_o who_o be_v in_o christ_n go_v from_o strength_n to_o strength_n from_o one_o degree_n to_o another_o until_o every_o one_o of_o they_o appear_v before_o god_n in_o zion_n psal_n 84._o 4-7_a 3._o this_o instruction_n may_v teach_v we_o that_o we_o shall_v not_o conclude_v concern_v any_o that_o they_o have_v not_o the_o spirit_n of_o christ_n because_o they_o be_v not_o so_o fill_v therewith_o as_o they_o shall_v be_v for_o the_o former_a may_v be_v where_o the_o
