must_v first_o be_v before_o faith_n i_o will_v ask_v any_o soul_n that_o have_v true_a repentance_n this_o question_n when_o they_o be_v in_o a_o state_n of_o sorrow_n for_o sin_n what_o make_v they_o thus_o sorrow_n be_v it_o not_o first_o because_o they_o have_v offend_v a_o love_a father_n or_o second_o have_v they_o no_o secret_a hope_n in_o they_o that_o christ_n will_v be_v merciful_a of_o faith_n &_o repentance_n 2._o object_n but_o do_v not_o paul_n say_v before_o faith_n come_v we_o be_v keep_v under_o a_o schoolmaster_n and_o the_o law_n be_v our_o schoolmaster_n to_o bring_v we_o and_o we_o be_v subject_a to_o what_o it_o threaten_v but_o when_o christ_n come_v this_o schoolmaster_n have_v we_o not_o under_o his_o bond_n and_o punishment_n as_o if_o by_o it_o we_o can_v be_v teach_v everlasting_a life_n and_o as_o christ_n say_v call_v no_o man_n your_o master_n but_o one_o even_o christ_n so_o that_o the_o law_n can_v be_v understand_v in_o this_o sense_n that_o it_o prepare_v we_o for_o christ_n unless_o this_o preparation_n be_v mean_v that_o it_o leave_v we_o under_o condemnation_n rom._n 3.20_o for_o by_o the_o law_n be_v the_o knowledge_n of_o sin_n yet_o not_o a_o efficacious_a knowledge_n of_o sin_n so_o as_o to_o show_v we_o a_o saviour_n but_o it_o will_v cause_v we_o to_o run_v from_o he_o and_o indeed_o take_v a_o man_n simple_o consider_v
