seek_v thy_o own_o right_a and_o good_a not_o thy_o neighbour_n wrong_v much_o less_o ruin_n and_o destruction_n and_o thus_o for_o moderation_n towards_o other_o in_o civil_a matter_n in_o religious_a matter_n although_o i_o have_v speak_v in_o the_o open_n the_o nature_n of_o moderation_n and_o the_o general_a object_n that_o which_o may_v serve_v to_o direct_v we_o herein_o yet_o lest_o i_o be_v mistake_v and_o thence_o any_o of_o you_o mistake_v your_o duty_n i_o shall_v further_o open_v this_o particular_a object_n by_o speak_v to_o it_o negative_o about_o what_o moderation_n be_v not_o to_o be_v practise_v and_o positive_o wherein_o it_o must_v negative_o 1_o not_o in_o matter_n of_o faith_n for_o the_o believe_v these_o be_v not_o only_o absolute_o require_v shall_v perform_v for_o in_o these_o can_v be_v no_o excess_n either_o in_o degree_n or_o duration_n we_o can_v love_v god_n too_o much_o nor_o with_o grace_n our_o neighbour_n nor_o too_o constant_o consider_v father_n mother_n wife_n child_n as_o moral_a object_n so_o we_o exceed_v not_o as_o natural_a good_n and_o so_o in_o the_o exercise_n of_o natural_a affection_n we_o frequent_o as_o be_v say_v before_o do_v exceed_v which_o be_v discernible_a especial_o by_o the_o end_n with_o grace_n we_o love_v they_o for_o god_n with_o the_o moral_a virtue_n of_o love_n for_o the_o relation_n they_o stand_v in_o to_o we_o with_o the_o affection_n of_o love_n when_o we_o sinful_o overlove_v they_o for_o ourselves_o for_o though_o the_o natural_a affection_n co-operate_v with_o the_o former_a yet_o it_o sole_o exceed_v but_o it_o be_v difficult_a for_o we_o to_o discern_v these_o formality_n in_o object_n and_o the_o operation_n of_o principle_n about_o they_o it_o be_v our_o only_a way_n to_o have_v recourse_n to_o god_n law_n which_o though_o found_v upon_o the_o nature_n of_o thing_n yet_o show_v we_o plain_o our_o duty_n where_o we_o can_v discern_v they_o which_o in_o all_o thing_n wherein_o we_o may_v exceed_v as_o in_o the_o external_o of_o the_o first_o table_n and_o the_o duty_n of_o the_o second_o not_o only_o prescribe_v we_o what_o and_o also_o particular_o how_o to_o act_v by_o positive_a precept_n but_o lest_o we_o shall_v miscarry_v by_o negative_a also_o which_o respect_v the_o end_n manner_z measure_n etc._n etc._n of_o such_o duty_n restrain_v and_o bound_v we_o that_o we_o exceed_v not_o both_o which_o be_v moral_a and_o comprehend_v in_o this_o particular_a it_o be_v equal_o moral_a not_o to_o overlove_v as_o to_o love_v thy_o neighbour_n
