and_o probability_n of_o man_n argument_n but_o be_v sure_a we_o place_v our_o faith_n upon_o the_o word_n of_o god_n three_o that_o we_o be_v not_o deceive_v with_o the_o seem_a effect_n of_o faith_n but_o learn_v to_o distinguish_v between_o the_o force_n of_o the_o word_n upon_o our_o heart_n when_o we_o be_v mere_o as_o it_o be_v patient_n and_o the_o force_n of_o the_o word_n work_v a_o convince_v but_o for_o the_o time_n delight_v and_o hear_v with_o great_a gladness_n as_o feel_v his_o heart_n to_o be_v warm_v with_o the_o doctrine_n he_o hear_v yet_o care_v not_o for_o it_o when_o he_o be_v go_v away_o nor_o make_v any_o use_n of_o it_o at_o all_o as_o be_v destitute_a of_o any_o gift_n by_o which_o he_o shall_v receive_v or_o apply_v the_o doctrine_n so_o that_o this_o heat_n in_o his_o heart_n do_v not_o arise_v from_o any_o habit_n in_o he_o receive_v the_o word_n and_o make_v use_n of_o it_o but_o only_o from_o the_o forcible_a penetration_n of_o the_o doctrine_n as_o penal_a law_n of_o prince_n or_o to_o cover_v some_o vice_n they_o be_v prone_a to_o or_o guilty_a of_o or_o to_o advantage_v their_o estate_n in_o worldly_a thing_n or_o out_o of_o desire_n to_o excel_v other_o in_o gift_n or_o the_o like_a 5._o that_o the_o joy_n which_o they_o feel_v be_v but_o a_o false_a joy_n and_o unsound_a which_o appear_v both_o by_o the_o cause_n of_o it_o and_o by_o the_o effect_n by_o the_o cause_n for_o they_o joy_v in_o hear_v the_o word_n for_o these_o or_o the_o like_a reason_n because_o the_o doctrine_n be_v new_a or_o because_o it_o be_v handle_v with_o unexpected_a learning_n or_o wit_n or_o because_o it_o fit_v their_o humour_n or_o affection_n or_o because_o it_o be_v doctrine_n that_o be_v general_o comfortable_a and_o set_v out_o the_o happiness_n of_o such_o as_o be_v of_o their_o religion_n or_o because_o the_o thing_n speak_v of_o be_v admirable_a in_o themselves_o or_o because_o the_o doctrine_n make_v against_o such_o and_o such_o as_o he_o like_v not_o and_o such_o as_o be_v the_o cause_n such_o be_v the_o effect_n for_o this_o joy_n make_v they_o more_o proud_a and_o careless_a and_o conceit_v and_o contemptuous_a many_o time_n of_o other_o whereas_o the_o true_a joy_n arise_v from_o the_o solid_a application_n of_o the_o thing_n hear_v to_o himself_o and_o from_o the_o persuasion_n of_o his_o right_n unto_o pleasure_n so_o by_o the_o suffering_n of_o the_o second_o adam_n who_o lie_v bury_v in_o a_o garden_n we_o may_v have_v a_o happy_a return_n to_o the_o heavenly_a paradise_n and_o as_o christ_n be_v carry_v from_o the_o cross_n to_o the_o garden_n of_o rest_n so_o shall_v we_o be_v take_v from_o the_o calamity_n of_o life_n into_o heavenly_a rest_n 3._o he_o be_v bury_v in_o a_o sepulchre_n hew_v out_o of_o a_o rock_n that_o so_o his_o enemy_n may_v have_v no_o occasion_n to_o cavil_n and_o say_v his_o disciple_n steal_v he_o away_o by_o secret_a hole_n or_o passage_n under_o ground_n and_o
