god_n moreover_o david_n speak_v here_o of_o the_o wicked_a call_v they_o the_o proud_a neither_o do_v he_o so_o entitle_v they_o without_o cause_n for_o it_o be_v the_o property_n of_o all_o those_o which_o trust_v not_o in_o god_n for_o it_o can_v not_o be_v choose_v but_o that_o a_o man_n which_o put_v not_o his_o trust_n in_o god_n must_v needs_o grow_v proud_a and_o swell_v therewith_o like_o a_o toad_n and_o why_o so_o for_o when_o man_n do_v know_v themselves_o to_o be_v such_o as_o in_o deed_n they_o be_v they_o must_v needs_o be_v cast_v down_o and_o humble_v and_o this_o common_a vouchsafe_v to_o do_v he_o that_o honour_n as_o to_o be_v govern_v by_o he_o it_o be_v meet_v then_o that_o they_o be_v confound_v in_o the_o open_a sight_n of_o the_o world_n that_o they_o may_v be_v point_v at_o that_o even_o young_a child_n may_v perceive_v their_o beastlynesse_n and_o be_v very_o well_o worthy_a so_o to_o be_v serve_v and_o so_o lest_o we_o fall_v into_o such_o shame_n let_v we_o pray_v with_o david_n that_o it_o will_v please_v god_n to_o make_v we_o so_o too_o stick_v unto_o he_o and_o his_o word_n as_o we_o never_o be_v confound_v now_o too_o conclude_v with_o these_o eight_o verse_n apart_o david_n say_v i_o will_v run_v the_o way_n of_o thy_o comaundement_n when_o thou_o shall_v enlarge_v my_o heart_n when_o he_o say_v that_o when_o god_n have_v set_v his_o heart_n at_o liberty_n he_o will_v run_v it_o be_v too_o show_v unto_o we_o that_o when_o our_o heart_n be_v enclose_v and_o fast_o shut_v up_o that_o we_o be_v not_o able_a so_o much_o as_o too_o remove_v one_o of_o our_o finger_n to_o well_o do_v until_o such_o time_n as_o god_n glad_v we_o and_o show_v we_o a_o merry_a countenance_n now_o david_n in_o this_o first_o place_n declare_v unto_o we_o that_o we_o be_v able_a to_o do_v nothing_o except_o god_n stir_v we_o up_o thereto_o and_o although_o he_o have_v already_o solicit_v &_o admonish_v we_o yet_o that_o be_v not_o all_o we_o shall_v cry_v out_o and_o alas_o &_o pour_v out_o some_o sigh_n and_o groan_n but_o because_o god_n will_v be_v serve_v with_o a_o cheerful_a mind_n and_o not_o with_o a_o evil_a will_n so_o long_o as_o we_o be_v fast_o shut_v up_o we_o can_v once_o stir_v out_o of_o the_o place_n to_o go_v on_o forward_o in_o the_o way_n of_o salvation_n and_o how_o can_v we_o then_o run_v when_o as_o he_o shall_v have_v set_v our_o heart_n at_o liberty_n to_o wit_n that_o he_o shall_v have_v so_o dispose_v &_o order_v we_o as_o that_o we_o shall_v free_o bend_v ourselves_o &_o sully_v &_o whole_o yield_v our_o affection_n unto_o he_o for_o otherwise_o we_o have_v our_o heart_n fast_o shut_v up_o shall_v always_o become_v the_o bondslave_n of_o sin_n it_o be_v very_o true_a hat_n while_o we_o be_v in_o this_o world_n we_o never_o run_v so_o fast_o ne_o yet_o so_o perfect_o as_o be_v require_v yea_o we_o shall_v many_o time_n go_v as_o it_o be_v halt_v where_o in_o deed_n we_o shall_v make_v haste_n but_o thus_o it_o be_v with_o we_o that_o whensoever_o he_o shall_v govern_v we_o with_o his_o spirit_n and_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v under_o the_o conduct_n of_o our_o head_n &_o captain_n jesus_n christ_n we_o may_v say_v with_o david_n that_o we_o do_v not_o only_o walk_v in_o his_o commandment_n but_o that_o we_o also_o run_v in_o they_o yea_o so_o that_o our_o affection_n be_v not_o hypocritical_a and_o that_o our_o zeal_n be_v also_o fervent_a to_o addict_v ourselves_o unto_o our_o good_a god_n since_o he_o have_v place_v we_o in_o the_o world_n to_o this_o end_n to_o obey_v he_o and_o too_o glorify_v his_o holy_a name_n and_o according_a to_o this_o doctrine_n let_v we_o prostrate_v ourselves_o before_o the_o face_n of_o our_o good_a god_n in_o acknowledge_v our_o sin_n beseech_v he_o that_o it_o will_v please_v he_o to_o make_v we_o to_o feel_v our_o sin_n and_o iniquity_n more_o and_o more_o &_o that_o it_o will_v also_o please_v he_o to_o make_v we_o so_o to_o remember_v they_o that_o we_o may_v learn_v to_o acknowledge_v how_o necessary_a it_o be_v for_o we_o to_o be_v more_o &_o more_o increase_v &_o confirm_v in_o his_o grace_n which_o he_o bestow_v upon_o we_o to_o the_o end_n that_o in_o allow_v &_o esteem_v of_o his_o benefit_n as_o it_o become_v we_o we_o may_v render_v unto_o he_o our_o humble_a and_o hearty_a thanks_n beseech_v he_o also_o to_o continue_v we_o in_o such_o sort_n in_o his_o holy_a vocation_n as_o that_o we_o may_v be_v glorify_v in_o the_o latter_a day_n in_o have_v fight_v a_o good_a fight_n and_o that_o we_o may_v enjoy_v the_o prize_n &_o reward_v of_o the_o victory_n to_o triumph_v in_o our_o lord_n jesus_n christ_n let_v we_o beseech_v he_o that_o he_o will_v not_o only_o give_v we_o this_o grace_n but_o also_o all_o the_o people_n and_o nation_n of_o the_o world_n etc._n etc._n the_o five_o sermon_n of_o the_o hundred_o and_o nineteenth_o psalm_n he._n teach_v i_o o_o lord_n the_o way_n of_o thy_o statute_n and_o i_o will_v keep_v it_o unto_o the_o end_n give_v i_o understanding_n and_o i_o will_v keep_v thy_o law_n yea_o i_o will_v keep_v it_o with_o my_o whole_a heart_n direct_v i_o in_o the_o path_n of_o thy_o commandment_n for_o therein_o be_v my_o delight_n incline_v my_o heart_n unto_o thy_o testimony_n and_o not_o to_o covetousness_n turn_v away_o my_o eye_n from_o regard_v vanity_n and_o quicken_v thou_o i_o in_o thy_o way_n
establish_v thy_o promise_n to_o thy_o servant_n because_o he_o fear_v thou_o take_v away_o thy_o rebuke_n that_o i_o be_o afraid_a off_o for_o thy_o judgemente_n be_v good_a behold_v i_o desire_v thy_o commandment_n quicken_v i_o in_o thy_o righteousness_n these_o eight_o verse_n here_o contain_v the_o prayer_n which_o we_o have_v already_o before_o see_v to_o wit_n that_o david_n pray_v too_o be_v teach_v in_o the_o law_n that_o he_o may_v the_o better_o serve_v god_n now_o upon_o this_o we_o have_v to_o note_v that_o this_o be_v not_o all_o to_o hear_v and_o to_o be_v teach_v by_o preach_v unto_o we_o that_o the_o same_o be_v as_o it_o be_v from_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n but_o we_o must_v also_o be_v teach_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n yea_o and_o that_o two_o manner_n of_o way_n for_o when_o god_n shall_v have_v enlighten_v we_o to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v know_v that_o it_o come_v from_o he_o it_o behoove_v that_o he_o imprinte_v in_o our_o heart_n a_o desire_n too_o cleave_v unto_o it_o for_o without_o that_o we_o shall_v do_v clean_o contrary_a as_o natural_o we_o be_v incline_v so_o then_o although_o it_o be_v not_o superfluous_a too_o read_v and_o hear_v yet_o will_v it_o profit_v we_o nothing_o at_o all_o except_o the_o holy_a ghost_n teach_v we_o yea_o and_o that_o to_o discern_v aswell_o between_o good_a and_o evil_a as_o also_o to_o be_v well_o and_o right_o affect_v too_o walk_v according_a to_o the_o commandment_n of_o god._n which_o thing_n be_v sufficient_o confirm_v unto_o we_o in_o the_o person_n of_o david_n for_o as_o we_o have_v heretofore_o declare_v he_o be_v a_o most_o excellent_a prophet_n now_o it_o appear_v that_o he_o be_v not_o only_o sufficient_o instruct_v for_o himself_o but_o god_n have_v also_o ordain_v he_o too_o govern_v and_o instruct_v other_o this_o be_v the_o doctor_n of_o the_o whole_a church_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o he_o confess_v himself_o too_o be_v utter_o ignorant_a and_o blind_a except_o god_n direct_v he_o by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n yea_o and_o he_o declare_v unto_o we_o most_o plain_o that_o he_o have_v need_n of_o these_o two_o part_n of_o the_o grace_n of_o god_n here_o by_o we_o touch_v to_o wit_n to_o be_v teach_v too_o know_v that_o which_o be_v good_a and_o afterward_o too_o have_v his_o mind_n frame_v to_o continue_v therein_o this_o circumstance_n also_o be_v special_o too_o be_v note_v that_o david_n in_o make_v his_o request_n herein_o contain_v be_v no_o novice_n for_o god_n have_v already_o instruct_v he_o by_o his_o holy_a spirit_n and_o that_o which_o be_v more_o he_o declare_v that_o he_o have_v already_o desire_v too_o follow_v god_n and_o too_o obey_v his_o commandment_n wherefore_o then_o be_v it_o that_o he_o pray_v afreshe_v but_o only_o that_o he_o feel_v in_o himself_o great_a weakness_n in_o this_o point_n and_o that_o he_o be_v but_o in_o the_o mid_a way_n let_v we_o they_o understand_v that_o even_o they_o which_o be_v enlighten_v by_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n &_o be_v well_o affect_v ought_v not_o to_o content_v themselves_o herewith_o as_o if_o they_o be_v already_o come_v to_o a_o full_a perfection_n but_o rather_o to_o acknowledge_v their_o weakness_n that_o they_o be_v not_o grow_v to_o that_o forwardness_n but_o that_o they_o may_v fail_v and_o that_o it_o be_v god_n which_o cause_v they_o to_o persevere_v and_o to_o be_v more_o and_o more_o confirm_v loe_o here_o what_o we_o have_v yet_o to_o observe_v by_o the_o example_n of_o david_n now_o let_v we_o follow_v the_o word_n which_o he_o use_v to_o the_o end_n the_o effect_n of_o this_o doctrine_n may_v the_o better_o be_v imprint_v in_o our_o memory_n teach_v i_o o_o lord_n the_o way_n of_o thy_o statute_n and_o i_o will_v keep_v it_o unto_o the_o end_n here_o david_n declare_v that_o he_o have_v well_o begin_v to_o serve_v god_n but_o he_o right_o well_o feel_v that_o we_o be_v so_o frail_a that_o we_o can_v never_o come_v home_o to_o the_o mark_n without_o god_n strengthen_v we_o wherefore_o he_o have_v recourse_n unto_o this_o high_a &_o mighty_a power_n by_o which_o god_n remedi_v the_o vice_n that_o be_v in_o his_o choose_a which_o he_o know_v not_o to_o be_v in_o their_o nature_n we_o see_v then_o that_o when_o god_n stretch_v out_o his_o hand_n unto_o we_o so_o that_o we_o have_v already_o be_v instructer_n &_o teacher_n of_o our_o neigh_n bour_n yet_o that_o we_o must_v not_o presume_v of_o our_o own_o power_n &_o strength_n but_o stand_v always_o upon_o our_o guard_n beseech_v god_n with_o all_o humility_n and_o reverence_n that_o as_o he_o have_v well_o begin_v in_o we_o so_o he_o will_v perform_v &_o go_v through_o with_o the_o same_o david_n say_v not_o o_o lord_n i_o have_v stray_v but_o he_o have_v very_o well_o say_v heretofore_o that_o he_o be_v by_o nature_n a_o wander_a sheep_n &_o so_o shall_v we_o see_v he_o to_o be_v and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o our_o lord_n have_v already_o bring_v he_o into_o the_o way_n of_o salvation_n yea_o and_o have_v bestow_v upon_o he_o excellent_a grace_n but_o yet_o he_o know_v that_o he_o may_v err_v a_o hundred_o time_n in_o a_o minute_n without_o god_n hold_v he_o with_o a_o mighty_a hand_n pray_v to_o be_v instruct_v anew_o as_o if_o all_o the_o rest_n which_o he_o have_v do_v have_v be_v nothing_o so_o then_o when_o as_o god_n shall_v have_v bestow_v upon_o we_o his_o grace_n let_v we_o not_o be_v negligent_a &_o secure_a to_o lul_n ourselves_o asleep_a as_o though_o our_o state_n and_o condition_n be_v not_o to_o be_v amend_v but_o let_v we_o rather_o think_v with_o ourselves_o and_o consider_v that_o he_o which_o have_v be_v take_v and_o hold_v for_o a_o good_a &_o virtuous_a man_n for_o the_o space_n of_o ten_o or_o xx_o year_n may_v be_v see_v overcome_v in_o a_o matter_n of_o nothing_o be_v it_o not_o that_o god_n assist_v he_o loe_o here_o how_o the_o faithful_a after_o that_o god_n have_v liberal_o bestow_v upon_o they_o great_a grace_n ought_v always_o to_o walk_v in_o fear_n and_o humbleness_n know_v that_o they_o be_v subject_a to_o many_o temptation_n which_o they_o be_v never_o able_a to_o resist_v if_o god_n continue_v not_o the_o same_o in_o they_o as_o well_o to_o instruct_v they_o as_o also_o to_o aid_v they_o with_o his_o power_n and_o strength_n &_o to_o fortify_v they_o more_o and_o more_o as_o before_o i_o have_v say_v and_o here_o we_o be_v diligent_o to_o mark_v this_o say_n and_o i_o will_v keep_v it_o unto_o the_o end_n as_o if_o he_o shall_v have_v say_v my_o god_n i_o have_v already_o follow_v thy_o commandment_n for_o a_o certain_a time_n but_o what_o shall_v become_v of_o it_o if_o thou_o do_v not_o always_o put_v too_o thy_o help_a hand_n unto_o i_o as_o thou_o have_v already_o do_v i_o may_v in_o one_o minute_n fall_v into_o a_o great_a and_o horrible_a confusion_n o_o lord_n i_o beseech_v thou_o therefore_o that_o as_o thou_o have_v begin_v well_o in_o i_o so_o to_o perform_v the_o same_o thorough_o by_o this_o we_o see_v what_o a_o devilish_a arrogancy_n that_o of_o the_o papist_n be_v wherewith_o they_o be_v puff_v up_o when_o as_o to_o their_o seem_n that_o a_o man_n after_o god_n have_v once_o stretch_v out_o his_o arm_n unto_o he_o can_v by_o and_o by_o work_n wonder_n of_o himself_o and_o be_v sufficient_o able_a too_o overcome_v all_o temptation_n but_o let_v we_o rather_o understand_v and_o know_v that_o even_o as_o it_o be_v god_n that_o must_v begin_v to_o set_v we_o in_o the_o right_a way_n so_o likewise_o that_o we_o can_v continue_v and_o abide_v therein_o without_o he_o always_o hold_v we_o by_o his_o mighty_a hand_n and_o never_o to_o suffer_v satan_n to_o seduce_v we_o neither_o yet_o to_o be_v wicked_o lead_v by_o his_o subtlety_n and_o wile_n and_o thus_o much_o as_o touch_v the_o first_o verse_n now_o it_o follow_v give_v i_o understanding_n and_o i_o will_v keep_v thy_o law_n yea_o i_o will_v keep_v it_o with_o my_o whole_a hart_n here_o david_n declare_v unto_o we_o in_o the_o first_o place_n what_o our_o true_a wisdom_n be_v to_o wit_n that_o we_o shall_v walk_v in_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n as_o also_o it_o be_v say_v in_o the_o scripture_n that_o the_o fear_n of_o god_n be_v true_a wisdom_n in_o sum_n we_o have_v here_o the_o confession_n of_o david_n that_o all_o they_o which_o and_o infidel_n for_o we_o see_v that_o the_o turk_n and_o idolater_n do_v great_o pray_v unto_o god_n but_o after_o what_o manner_n pray_v they_o forsooth_o even_o at_o all_o adventure_n so_o that_o they_o know_v not_o what_o they_o do_v but_o contrariwise_o we_o must_v pray_v unto_o he_o with_o full_a assurance_n that_o he_o will_v hear_v us._n but_o from_o whence_o shall_v this_o certainty_n proceed_v if_o we_o have_v not_o the_o truth_n to_o go_v before_o we_o and_o say_v behold_v the_o lord_n who_o call_v we_o unto_o he_o and_o then_o when_o we_o come_v unto_o he_o this_o be_v no_o foolish_a presumption_n but_o we_o come_v in_o such_o sort_n unto_o he_o as_o he_o have_v command_v us._n let_v we_o then_o see_v what_o we_o have_v yet_o to_o note_v in_o this_o place_n when_o david_n set_v down_o here_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n by_o which_o he_o be_v bind_v unto_o he_o o_o lord_n say_v he_o let_v it_o be_v do_v unto_o i_o according_a to_o thy_o word_n now_o here_o be_v a_o very_a profitable_a point_n to_o be_v consider_v off_o to_o wit_n after_o that_o we_o be_v once_o assure_v that_o god_n have_v promise_v too_o do_v that_o for_o we_o which_o we_o shall_v ask_v of_o he_o we_o must_v no_o more_o doubt_n that_o it_o shall_v be_v so_o but_o that_o the_o thing_n be_v full_o conclude_v upon_o so_o that_o we_o be_v ever_o sure_a and_o certain_a thereof_o for_o when_o god_n speak_v unto_o we_o we_o be_v very_o sure_a that_o he_o will_v not_o deceive_v we_o he_o will_v not_o give_v we_o fair_a word_n and_o then_o deceive_v we_o as_o man_n many_o time_n do_v deal_v very_o liberal_o with_o their_o tongue_n but_o yet_o notwithstanding_o very_o close_o fist_v but_o god_n deal_v not_o in_o such_o sort_n let_v we_o then_o come_v before_o he_o without_o distrust_n have_v we_o his_o word_n let_v we_o then_o hold_v the_o thing_n as_o already_o perform_v and_o so_o when_o david_n say_v according_a to_o thy_o word_n he_o signify_v unto_o we_o that_o he_o be_v not_o only_o assure_v that_o god_n be_v faithful_a and_o liberal_a that_o he_o mean_v not_o to_o abuse_v we_o when_o as_o we_o trust_v to_o he_o but_o show_v we_o that_o this_o certainty_n which_o we_o have_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n shall_v not_o make_v we_o weary_a to_o say_v that_o we_o be_v as_o it_o be_v even_o overwhelm_v but_o we_o must_v rather_o be_v careful_a and_o diligent_a to_o pray_v unto_o he_o there_o be_v some_o man_n which_o will_v in_o deed_n say_v that_o they_o believe_v the_o promise_n of_o god_n but_o since_o say_v they_o he_o know_v what_o we_o have_v need_n of_o what_o need_v we_o to_o be_v importune_a upon_o he_o now_o these_o man_n indeed_o very_o well_o declare_v that_o they_o never_o understand_v what_o faith_n and_o hope_n be_v for_o if_o we_o receive_v the_o promise_n of_o god_n without_o hypocrisy_n we_o ought_v to_o be_v thus_o earnest_a and_o zealous_a to_o pray_v and_o have_v recourse_n unto_o he_o say_v o_o lord_n god_n when_o as_o thou_o have_v assure_v i_o of_o thy_o bounty_n and_o mercy_n it_o be_v to_o this_o end_n that_o i_o shall_v call_v upon_o thou_o in_o my_o need_n and_o that_o i_o see_v the_o necessity_n which_o urge_v and_o press_v i_o i_o must_v needs_o come_v unto_o thou_o as_o thou_o haste_v call_v i_o by_o thy_o word_n behold_v then_o that_o all_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n shall_v serve_v we_o in_o stead_n of_o so_o many_o spur_n to_o prick_v we_o forward_o in_o make_v our_o prayer_n unto_o he_o let_v we_o now_o come_v to_o the_o word_n of_o david_n let_v thy_o love_a mercy_n or_o thy_o grace_n come_v unto_o i_o o_o lord_n and_o thy_o salvation_n after_o that_o he_o have_v lay_v his_o foundation_n whereupon_o too_o build_v he_o desire_v oneself_o same_o thing_n in_o two_o word_n which_o to_o the_o outward_a appearance_n be_v diverse_a and_o sundry_a to_o wit_n the_o grace_n of_o god_n and_o his_o salvation_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o david_n mean_v nothing_o else_o but_o that_o god_n will_v show_v himself_o to_o be_v his_o saviour_n neither_o be_v there_o any_o thing_n here_o speak_v superfluous_o for_o it_o be_v asmuch_o as_n if_o he_o have_v say_v o_o my_o god_n i_o beseech_v thou_o that_o according_a to_o thy_o promise_n thou_o will_v make_v i_o feel_v thou_o to_o be_v my_o saviour_n and_o father_n but_o yet_o in_o the_o mean_a while_n he_o express_v unto_o we_o whence_o this_o salvation_n which_o we_o must_v wait_v for_o and_o which_o god_n have_v promise_v we_o come_v and_o that_o be_v of_o his_o mere_a good_a will_n for_o man_n can_v otherwise_o choose_v but_o that_o they_o will_v ever_o wrongful_o take_v upon_o they_o some_o thing_n or_o other_o which_o appertain_v nothing_o unto_o they_o and_o always_o to_o be_v foolish_o and_o arrogant_o bind_v unto_o themselves_o now_o david_n clean_o contrary_a show_v here_o that_o all_o the_o salvation_n which_o he_o hope_v after_o &_o desire_v come_v from_o another_o springheade_n then_o from_o the_o virtue_n and_o dignity_n of_o man_n to_o wit_n even_o from_o the_o mere_a goodness_n of_o god_n so_o then_o we_o see_v that_o as_o before_o he_o have_v speak_v of_o the_o promise_n even_o so_o also_o he_o here_o add_v and_o express_v the_o cause_n which_o move_v god_n to_o bind_v himself_o so_o unto_o we_o to_o wit_n his_o mere_a mercy_n by_o this_o we_o be_v admonish_v that_o when_o we_o be_v to_o call_v upon_o god_n we_o shall_v always_o have_v regard_n unto_o these_o two_o thing_n to_o wit_n the_o grace_n of_o god_n and_o his_o free_a mercy_n and_o after_o that_o his_o promise_n god_n be_v good_a and_o liberal_a and_o see_v why_o it_o be_v that_o he_o with_o pity_n look_v upon_o we_o and_o behold_v we_o with_o his_o eye_n of_o compassion_n vouchsafe_v to_o receive_v we_o yea_o and_o call_v and_o allure_v we_o unto_o he_o and_o also_o imbolden_v we_o to_o crave_v of_o he_o to_o the_o end_n he_o will_v help_v and_o succour_v we_o in_o all_o our_o need_n and_o necessity_n now_o this_o goodness_n shall_v lie_v hide_v in_o god_n be_v it_o not_o that_o he_o make_v we_o to_o feel_v it_o by_o his_o promise_n for_o god_n show_v himself_o unto_o we_o to_o be_v such_o a_o one_o as_o in_o deed_n he_o be_v he_o lay_v his_o heart_n wide_o open_a when_o he_o render_v we_o a_o testimony_n of_o the_o love_n he_o bear_v us._n loe_o here_o why_o i_o have_v say_v that_o in_o too_o the_o promise_n which_o be_v a_o sure_a testimony_n that_o god_n be_v such_o one_o we_o shall_v no_o more_o doubt_v what_o affection_n he_o bear_v we_o whether_o he_o be_v our_o friend_n or_o enemy_n see_v it_o be_v so_o that_o he_o be_v very_o well_o willing_a to_o be_v bind_v unto_o we_o in_o declare_v unto_o we_o that_o he_o be_v our_o father_n and_o take_v we_o to_o be_v his_o child_n now_o david_n make_v such_o a_o request_n as_o we_o have_v already_o touch_v to_o the_o end_n he_o may_v answer_v those_o which_o wrought_v he_o shame_n although_o he_o say_v word_n for_o word_n to_o the_o end_n i_o may_v answer_v these_o which_o work_v i_o shame_n here_o david_n declare_v that_o when_o god_n shall_v have_v aid_v he_o that_o then_o he_o shall_v be_v able_a to_o withstand_v all_o we_o may_v stand_v sure_a against_o all_o our_o enemy_n yea_o very_o for_o god_n will_v never_o fail_v we_o whensoever_o we_o shall_v desire_v &_o pray_v he_o to_o perform_v his_o promise_n unto_o we_o and_o make_v we_o feel_v his_o goodness_n for_o our_o salvation_n moreover_o if_o we_o have_v wherewithal_o too_o resist_v the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a which_o come_v upon_o we_o too_o daunt_v and_o quail_v our_o faith_n we_o shall_v have_v also_o wherewith_o to_o withstand_v satan_n for_o when_o man_n shall_v persecute_v we_o or_o deride_v the_o promise_n of_o god_n and_o labour_v all_o they_o may_v to_o turn_v we_o away_o from_o they_o it_o come_v not_o of_o themselves_o but_o it_o be_v the_o devil_n which_o push_v they_o forward_o even_o so_o then_o we_o may_v fight_v and_o win_v the_o victory_n against_o all_o the_o combat_n of_o satan_n if_o we_o will_v pray_v unto_o god_n after_o the_o example_n of_o david_n this_o be_v also_o to_o be_v consider_v and_o note_v which_o here_o he_o add_v when_o he_o say_v my_o delight_n be_v in_o thy_o word_n he_o declare_v what_o sign_n and_o token_n he_o desire_v of_o god_n here_o before_o that_o he_o will_v do_v unto_o he_o as_o he_o have_v promise_v for_o i_o have_v delight_n therein_o say_v he_o will_v we_o then_o have_v god_n his_o promise_n to_o take_v place_n in_o we_o to_o open_v the_o gate_n that_o we_o may_v come_v untoo_o he_o that_o they_o may_v be_v as_o key_n too_o give_v we_o in_o entry_n too_o the_o end_n our_o request_n and_o petition_n may_v be_v receive_v we_o must_v then_o join_v hope_n therewith_o and_o lo_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n why_o we_o feel_v not_o the_o power_n of_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n as_o we_o ought_v the_o reason_n be_v for_o that_o we_o have_v no_o hope_n nor_o trust_v in_o they_o it_o be_v most_o true_a that_o god_n for_o his_o part_n be_v always_o true_a of_o his_o word_n and_o although_o we_o be_v miserable_a faithless_a people_n yet_o will_v he_o never_o falsify_v his_o faith_n which_o he_o have_v give_v to_o us._n but_o what_o sure_o we_o be_v unwoorthy_a one_o too_o feel_v such_o a_o pleasure_n in_o very_a deed_n god_n have_v promise_v to_o pour_v his_o grace_n upon_o we_o as_o also_o he_o offer_v it_o untoo_o we_o but_o yet_o be_v we_o utter_o unworthy_a thereof_o without_o we_o believe_v his_o promise_n will_v we_o that_o god_n shall_v do_v unto_o we_o according_a to_o his_o word_n we_o must_v then_o receive_v his_o word_n and_o embrace_v it_o by_o faith_n 2._o heb._n 4._o 2._o as_o also_o the_o apostle_n treat_v thereof_o and_o thus_o much_o as_o touch_v these_o two_o first_o verse_n now_o it_o follow_v take_v not_o the_o word_n of_o thy_o truth_n utter_o out_o of_o my_o mouth_n for_o i_o wait_v for_o thy_o judgement_n when_o david_n well_o enough_o and_o in_o good_a case_n when_o as_o they_o be_v open_o suppose_v too_o be_v very_o faithful_a well_o think_v off_o and_o take_v to_o be_v very_o honest_a man_n this_o think_v they_o be_v all_o that_o be_v to_o be_v require_v but_o david_n have_v not_o proceed_v after_o this_o manner_n for_o when_o he_o say_v take_v not_o the_o word_n of_o thy_o truth_n out_o of_o my_o month_n o_o lord_n it_o be_v asmuch_o as_n if_o he_o have_v fayde_v o_o lord_n do_v i_o not_o only_o this_o grace_n that_o i_o trust_v secret_o in_o thou_o that_o i_o stay_v i_o upon_o thy_o promise_n that_o i_o stand_v sure_a against_o all_o the_o assault_n of_o my_o enemy_n but_o namely_o and_o chief_o even_o before_o the_o face_n of_o man_n that_o my_o faith_n may_v declare_v itself_o that_o by_o this_o mean_a i_o may_v guide_v and_o instruct_v all_o those_o which_o will_v come_v unto_o thou_o &_o contrariwise_o that_o i_o may_v withstand_v all_o those_o which_o shall_v go_v about_o to_o overthrow_v this_o spiritual_a hope_n of_o i_o which_o i_o have_v in_o thou_o and_o in_o thy_o truth_n and_o when_o thou_o o_o lord_n shall_v have_v deep_o root_v thy_o word_n in_o my_o heart_n let_v it_o also_o be_v often_o time_n in_o my_o mouth_n that_o i_o may_v magnify_v thy_o name_n before_o man_n we_o have_v to_o learn_v out_o of_o this_o place_n that_o in_o the_o first_o place_n we_o must_v be_v assure_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n yea_o although_o that_o man_n perceive_v it_o not_o we_o and_o again_o although_o every_o man_n will_v keep_v it_o so_o secret_a too_o himself_o as_o that_o no_o man_n in_o all_o the_o world_n know_v thereof_o yet_o god_n and_o his_o angel_n do_v know_v how_o true_a and_o certain_a we_o esteem_v it_o to_o be_v and_o also_o how_o we_o yield_v thereto_o the_o honour_n which_o unto_o it_o appertain_v and_o to_o be_v such_o in_o deed_n as_o deserve_v to_o be_v hold_v for_o true_a and_o faithful_a and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o first_o point_n now_o for_o the_o second_o let_v we_o advise_o consider_v to_o edify_v our_o neighbour_n that_o they_o may_v be_v confirm_v by_o our_o example_n and_o all_o with_o one_o accord_n to_o trust_v in_o god_n that_o the_o wicked_a and_o ungodly_a may_v be_v ashamed_a that_o we_o may_v vex_v they_o that_o we_o have_v wherein_o to_o glory_v notwithstanding_o all_o their_o windelass_n privy_a devise_n and_o god_n and_o to_o confound_v all_o they_o which_o deride_v and_o scorn_v his_o word_n and_o truth_n but_o what_o mean_v he_o by_o this_o say_n for_o ever_o that_o be_v that_o he_o be_v as_o it_o be_v forsake_v of_o god_n in_o all_o his_o affliction_n be_v as_o one_o that_o be_v dumb_a and_o can_v not_o speak_v as_o he_o complain_v in_o another_o place_n and_o in_o deed_n so_o long_o as_o god_n show_v unto_o we_o no_o token_n of_o his_o grace_n although_o our_o enemy_n deride_v we_o with_o open_a mouth_n yet_o we_o be_v not_o at_o that_o liberty_n to_o confute_v they_o and_o stop_v their_o mouth_n david_n then_o be_v thus_o tempt_v a_o long_a time_n desire_v that_o the_o confession_n wherewith_o he_o may_v be_v able_a to_o magnify_v god_n may_v not_o to_o be_v take_v from_o he_o for_o ever_o wherein_o we_o be_v to_o observe_v that_o if_o god_n sometime_o leave_v we_o confound_v after_o the_o manner_n of_o the_o world_n in_o stead_n of_o be_v dismay_v we_o ought_v too_o beseech_v he_o that_o he_o will_v not_o suffer_v our_o mouth_n too_o be_v stop_v for_o ever_o now_o he_o repeat_v it_o over_o again_o for_o my_o hope_n be_v in_o thy_o judgement_n it_o be_v not_o without_o cause_n that_o david_n still_o make_v this_o protestation_n for_o as_o i_o have_v already_o say_v behold_v what_o power_n and_o efficacy_n the_o word_n of_o god_n cause_v we_o to_o feel_v according_a to_o that_o place_n which_o i_o have_v allege_v out_o of_o the_o epistle_n too_o the_o hebrews_n when_o we_o have_v therewith_o hope_v also_o which_o hang_v upon_o faith_n it_o be_v true_a that_o god_n stretch_v out_o his_o hand_n unto_o his_o people_n when_o he_o bring_v they_o out_o of_o the_o land_n of_o egypt_n to_o the_o end_n he_o will_v bring_v they_o into_o the_o promise_a land_n but_o what_o the_o people_n stay_v not_o themselves_o upon_o god_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v meet_v that_o that_o promise_n shall_v be_v void_a yea_o and_o that_o just_o unto_o such_o a_o faithless_a people_n god_n have_v no_o long_a time_n to_o find_v out_o such_o a_o wonder_a &_o marvellous_a strange_a mean_n as_o that_o man_n can_v not_o possible_o conceive_v how_o that_o may_v be_v bring_v to_o pass_v which_o he_o have_v speak_v but_o this_o avayl_v they_o nothing_o which_o be_v faithless_a for_o lo_o they_o be_v exclude_v from_o such_o a_o benefit_n be_v deprive_v of_o that_o promise_a inheritance_n let_v we_o then_o learn_v that_o when_o we_o will_v have_v god_n
what_o end_n thy_o belief_n serve_v when_o then_o we_o shall_v have_v our_o eye_n so_o fix_v upon_o god_n who_o have_v arm_v we_o with_o his_o infallible_a truth_n we_o may_v be_v able_a too_o withstand_v and_o fall_v out_o with_o all_o whatsoever_o that_o lift_v itself_o up_o too_o the_o contrary_a we_o shall_v have_v no_o occasion_n too_o fear_v the_o world_n for_o god_n be_v sufficient_o able_a too_o overcome_v all_o the_o scruple_n and_o grief_n which_o the_o devil_n shall_v raise_v uppe_o against_o us._n and_o thus_o much_o as_o concern_v this_o point_n moreover_o we_o see_v that_o when_o there_o be_v any_o question_n to_o make_v confession_n of_o our_o faith_n it_o can_v be_v that_o man_n shall_v be_v able_a to_o abash_v and_o fear_v we_o with_o all_o their_o power_n and_o might_n as_o at_o this_o day_n we_o see_v when_o as_o they_o will_v glad_o make_v we_o too_o tremble_v what_o i_o beseech_v you_o sir_n will_v they_o say_v you_o be_v but_o even_o a_o handful_n of_o people_n do_v you_o think_v yourselves_o wise_a than_o all_o the_o king_n and_o prince_n of_o the_o world_n you_o see_v that_o all_o the_o world_n be_v against_o this_o doctrine_n which_o you_o hold_v &_o profess_v and_o what_o do_v you_o think_v to_o do_v true_a in_o deed_n that_o at_o the_o first_o sight_n this_o be_v even_o enough_o too_o shake_v we_o yea_o be_v it_o not_o that_o we_o know_v and_o be_v very_o certain_a but_o when_o we_o look_v unto_o god_n than_o all_o this_o gear_n vanish_v intoo_o smoke_n these_o be_v but_o bladder_n pufte_v full_a of_o wind_n and_o the_o jest_n pin_n point_n will_v empty_v they_o in_o very_a deed_n these_o will_v be_v great_a fraybugge_n but_o yet_o it_o will_v all_o prove_v nothing_o behold_v these_o frog_n behold_v these_o pismeres_n yea_o behold_v these_o fly_n and_o gnatte_n for_o they_o be_v all_o no_o better_o than_o very_a vermin_n and_o worm_n when_o as_o they_o shall_v lift_v themselves_o up_o thus_o against_o god_n so_o then_o let_v we_o learn_v yea_o let_v we_o learn_v to_o stay_v ourselves_o so_o upon_o god_n as_o that_o when_o we_o shall_v be_v call_v too_o make_v confession_n of_o our_o faith_n since_o it_o be_v so_o that_o it_o be_v god_n which_o have_v speak_v let_v all_o the_o creature_n in_o the_o world_n be_v nothing_o to_o we_o ward_n let_v we_o not_o be_v ashamed_a and_o let_v nothing_o hinder_v and_o stop_v we_o from_o maintain_v of_o his_o word_n in_o the_o end_n david_n conclude_v and_o say_v my_o hand_n also_o will_v i_o lift_v up_o unto_o thy_o commandment_n which_o i_o have_v love_v and_o my_o study_n shall_v be_v in_o thy_o statute_n these_o two_o verse_n here_o need_v no_o long_a declaration_n for_o we_o have_v already_o have_v the_o same_o sentence_n and_o yet_o notwithstanding_o david_n show_v we_o that_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o think_v of_o this_o doctrine_n for_o a_o time_n but_o we_o must_v all_o the_o course_n of_o our_o life_n profit_v ourselves_o therein_o more_o and_o more_o loe_o here_o the_o principal_a point_n which_o we_o have_v to_o note_v that_o we_o must_v take_v pleasure_n in_o the_o commandment_n of_o god_n which_o we_o have_v love_v to_o wit_n that_o we_o ought_v to_o learn_v to_o conceive_v such_o a_o affection_n and_o desire_v to_o follow_v the_o word_n of_o god_n and_o to_o stick_v thereto_o as_o that_o we_o shall_v be_v full_o resolve_v to_o say_v in_o very_a deed_n this_o be_v the_o most_o sweet_a and_o amiable_a thing_n that_o possible_o can_v be_v to_o subject_v ourselves_o under_o the_o yoke_n of_o our_o god_n and_o to_o bear_v it_o and_o therefore_o we_o must_v draw_v in_o it_o and_o obey_v he_o have_v we_o do_v this_o we_o must_v then_o in_o stead_n of_o a_o number_n of_o foolish_a vanity_n whereunto_o we_o be_v incline_v yea_o and_o in_o place_n of_o the_o wicked_a affection_n and_o allurement_n of_o satan_n learn_v to_o take_v pleasure_n in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n so_o that_o we_o may_v protest_v in_o truth_n after_o the_o example_n of_o david_n that_o they_o be_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n which_o we_o have_v love_v moreover_o let_v we_o mark_v well_o this_o sentence_n when_o he_o say_v my_o hand_n also_o will_v i_o lift_v up_o unto_o thy_o commandment_n for_o this_o be_v as_o much_o as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v o_o lord_n i_o will_v not_o only_o protest_v with_o my_o mouth_n that_o i_o love_v thy_o word_n but_o i_o will_v also_o lift_v up_o my_o hand_n yea_o as_o we_o common_o say_v i_o will_v lift_v up_o my_o hand_n to_o the_o caky_a god_n by_o this_o he_o let_v we_o to_o understande_v that_o if_o we_o will_v serve_v god_n as_o become_v we_o that_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o for_o we_o to_o witness_v the_o truth_n of_o god_n with_o our_o mouth_n but_o we_o must_v also_o show_v by_o our_o good_a and_o godly_a life_n that_o which_o we_o protest_v with_o our_o mouth_n and_o that_o there_o be_v a_o accord_n and_o sweet_a harmony_n between_o the_o one_o and_o the_o other_o true_a it_o be_v we_o shall_v find_v some_o doubt_n when_o as_o there_o shall_v be_v any_o question_n of_o follow_v god_n but_o this_o sentence_n be_v to_o be_v note_v when_o he_o say_v i_o will_v lift_v up_o my_o hand_n and_o to_o know_v that_o when_o god_n shall_v see_v that_o it_o shall_v surpass_v our_o force_n and_o strength_n let_v we_o pray_v unto_o he_o to_o grant_v we_o that_o grace_n that_o we_o may_v lift_v up_o our_o hand_n unto_o his_o commandment_n to_o wit_n so_o high_a as_o we_o can_v possible_o to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v take_v hold_n of_o his_o grace_n and_o virtue_n better_a than_o heretofore_o we_o have_v do_v lo_o in_o what_o manner_n we_o ought_v to_o do_v in_o this_o case_n that_o not_o presume_v of_o our_o own_o power_n and_o strength_n we_o may_v pray_v notwithstanding_o this_o good_a god_n to_o make_v his_o grace_n so_o forcible_a in_o we_o as_o that_o it_o may_v settle_v and_o reign_v there_o and_o to_o have_v we_o know_v that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o vain_a that_o he_o call_v we_o unto_o he_o &_o give_v we_o his_o truth_n which_o thing_n no_o doubt_n he_o will_v do_v so_o that_o we_o reject_v not_o his_o grace_n which_o he_o so_o free_o offer_v unto_o us._n and_o according_a to_o this_o holy_a doctrine_n let_v we_o prostrate_v ourselves_o before_o the_o majesty_n of_o our_o good_a god_n in_o acknowledge_v our_o fault_n beseech_v he_o that_o it_o will_v please_v he_o to_o open_v our_o eye_n to_o the_o end_n we_o may_v know_v our_o wretchedness_n &_o the_o miserable_a condition_n wherein_o we_o stand_v that_o we_o may_v return_v to_o he_o yea_o and_o that_o with_o a_o certain_a confidence_n that_o he_o will_v perform_v that_o which_o he_o have_v promise_v we_o that_o we_o be_v not_o frustrate_v of_o our_o hope_n when_o as_o it_o shall_v stay_v upon_o he_o and_o in_o his_o truth_n but_o that_o he_o will_v more_o and_o more_o strengthen_v we_o therein_o until_o such_o time_n as_o we_o come_v to_o the_o perfect_a knowledge_n of_o thing_n which_o we_o yet_o know_v not_o but_o in_o part_n that_o not_o only_o he_o will_v grant_v we_o this_o grace_n but_o also_o unto_o all_o people_n and_o nation_n of_o the_o world_n etc._n etc._n the_o seven_o sermon_n of_o the_o hundred_o and_o nineteenth_o psalm_n zain_n remember_v the_o promise_n make_v unto_o thy_o servant_n wherein_o thou_o have_v cause_v i_o to_o we_o may_v always_o have_v regard_n to_o our_o spiritual_a health_n as_o touch_v the_o first_o we_o be_v to_o desire_v that_o this_o affection_n may_v reign_v in_o we_o to_o the_o end_n to_o keep_v all_o the_o rest_n in_o good_a order_n which_o violent_o may_v carry_v we_o away_o to_o wit_n that_o we_o shall_v desire_v to_o be_v the_o right_a scholar_n of_o god_n and_o thus_o much_o for_o this_o now_o immediate_o after_o follow_v the_o mean_a to_o beseech_v he_o that_o he_o will_v bestow_v upon_o we_o his_o grace_n to_o be_v teach_v in_o his_o law_n to_o wit_n because_o he_o have_v make_v we_o too_o this_o end_n and_o not_o like_a unto_o ox_n ass_n nor_o dog_n which_o be_v brute_n beast_n and_o nothing_o but_o corruption_n but_o that_o he_o have_v imprint_v in_o we_o his_o image_n unto_o he_o in_o the_o second_o place_n that_o over_o and_o beside_o that_o he_o have_v make_v we_o man_n he_o have_v choose_v we_o also_o to_o be_v his_o child_n have_v make_v we_o partaker_n of_o this_o divine_a wisdom_n which_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o gospel_n have_v show_v himself_o to_o be_v our_o father_n and_o call_v we_o into_o the_o company_n and_o fellowshipp_n of_o his_o son_n christ_n jesus_n that_o we_o may_v be_v member_n of_o his_o body_n when_o as_o then_o we_o may_v charge_n god_n with_o this_o loe_o this_o be_v a_o far_o great_a approbation_n of_o our_o faith_n and_o we_o ought_v to_o beseech_v he_o with_o much_o more_o certainty_n and_o assurance_n without_o doubt_v that_o it_o will_v please_v he_o too_o hear_v us._n and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o second_o point_n the_o three_o be_v that_o although_o god_n have_v teach_v we_o we_o must_v not_o by_o and_o by_o think_v that_o we_o be_v such_o great_a clerk_n and_o so_o well_o learned_a as_o that_o we_o need_v not_o to_o desire_v he_o too_o confirm_v we_o more_o and_o more_o in_o his_o knowledge_n and_o too_o be_v always_o like_a unto_o prentice_n &_o young_a novice_n as_o in_o very_a deed_n they_o which_o have_v most_o profit_v shall_v always_o be_v thus_o humble_v not_o to_o think_v that_o they_o have_v attain_a to_o the_o great_a abundance_n of_o knowledge_n but_o that_o they_o have_v only_o some_o little_a taste_n and_o smattering_n of_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n that_o they_o have_v need_v too_o have_v he_o to_o increase_v it_o always_o in_o they_o more_o and_o more_o now_o if_o david_n make_v this_o request_n yea_o and_o that_o in_o truth_n know_v that_o he_o have_v great_a need_n to_o be_v instruct_v of_o god_n i_o pray_v you_o what_o arrogancy_n shall_v this_o be_v in_o we_o when_o as_o we_o shall_v presume_v to_o have_v our_o brain_n so_o full_o stuff_v as_o that_o we_o need_v no_o more_o instruction_n that_o we_o shall_v content_v ourselves_o with_o that_o which_o he_o have_v learn_v ought_v it_o not_o to_o be_v say_v that_o we_o be_v most_o arrogaunt_a and_o so_o let_v we_o after_o the_o example_n of_o david_n all_o the_o day_n of_o our_o life_n pray_v unto_o god_n to_o teach_v we_o and_o that_o we_o be_v never_o weary_a of_o be_v teach_v of_o he_o until_o such_o time_n as_o he_o have_v despoil_a we_o of_o this_o mortal_a body_n for_o so_o long_o as_o we_o which_o extend_v itself_o too_o all_o without_o exception_n to_o wit_n that_o if_o we_o come_v unto_o he_o for_o succour_n and_o that_o in_o truth_n that_o he_o will_v be_v very_o ready_a to_o let_v we_o then_o put_v our_o trust_n in_o he_o and_o we_o shall_v feel_v the_o like_a of_o that_o which_o we_o have_v see_v in_o other_o that_o have_v go_v before_o we_o and_o show_v we_o the_o way_n have_v this_o consideration_n imprint_v in_o their_o heart_n to_o wit_n to_o make_v this_o estimation_n of_o the_o law_n of_o god_n as_o too_o say_v that_o what_o soever_o be_v contain_v therein_o be_v just_a and_o why_o so_o that_o be_v first_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o contrariety_n that_o be_v between_o our_o wit_n and_o the_o wisdom_n of_o god_n and_o next_o by_o reason_n of_o the_o contrariety_n of_o our_o wicked_a lust_n and_o affection_n with_o the_o bridle_n which_o he_o hold_v we_o too_o rule_v we_o according_a too_o his_o pleasure_n and_o in_o his_o obedience_n when_o as_o man_n will_v take_v council_n of_o their_o own_o head_n that_o they_o think_v to_o control_v thereby_o whatsoever_o god_n speak_v in_o his_o word_n we_o then_o agree_v even_o like_o fire_n and_o water_n for_o all_o our_o wisdom_n be_v but_o vanity_n and_o lease_n when_o as_o we_o shall_v appose_v and_o set_v ourselves_o against_o the_o holy_a scripture_n the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o law_n and_o whatsoever_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o prophet_n and_o the_o gospel_n as_o we_o see_v at_o this_o day_n the_o world_n will_v in_o no_o wise_a subject_n itself_o thereto_o from_o whence_o come_v all_o these_o controversy_n and_o dissension_n throughout_o all_o christendom_n forsooth_o it_o be_v because_o that_o man_n will_v be_v overwise_a and_o will_v never_o honour_v god_n in_o such_o his_o law_n in_o his_o prophet_n and_o in_o his_o gospel_n that_o it_o must_v needs_o fall_v out_o that_o we_o ought_v to_o do_v he_o homage_n in_o all_o this_o know_v that_o it_o be_v impossible_a too_o find_v any_o one_o jot_n therein_o contain_v to_o be_v amend_v for_o although_o we_o very_o well_o know_v that_o the_o judgement_n of_o god_n be_v right_a to_o wit_n in_o such_o sort_n as_o that_o our_o wit_n and_o mind_n may_v thereby_o be_v confirm_v that_o we_o may_v judge_v it_o to_o be_v so_o yet_o it_o so_o stand_v nevertheless_o that_o behold_v our_o lust_n and_o passion_n do_v together_o to_o wit_n that_o he_o do_v not_o only_o make_v much_o of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n but_o also_o of_o the_o punishment_n which_o he_o send_v he_o as_o if_o he_o have_v say_v o_o lord_n i_o do_v not_o only_o suffer_v myself_o to_o be_v teach_v by_o thy_o word_n but_o to_o be_v chastise_v also_o with_o thy_o hand_n and_o i_o beseech_v thou_o to_o scourge_v and_o beat_v i_o with_o thy_o so_o we_o have_v need_v to_o be_v very_o well_o advise_v and_o of_o good_a understanding_n because_o we_o be_v continual_o to_o fight_v against_o satan_n &_o his_o compaignions_n which_o will_v never_o cease_v to_o lie_v in_o privy_a wait_n for_o us._n and_o since_o we_o see_v that_o the_o wicked_a be_v as_o hungrestaruen_a dog_n &_o raven_a wolf_n against_o we_o their_o cruelty_n be_v insatiable_a see_v then_o we_o see_v by_o experience_n that_o the_o child_n of_o god_n must_v needs_o be_v compass_v with_o enemy_n &_o that_o there_o be_v many_o ambush_n lay_v and_o many_o wicked_a treachery_n practise_v against_o they_o so_o much_o the_o more_o ought_v we_o to_o have_v our_o refuge_n to_o this_o word_n which_o can_v only_o keep_v and_o defend_v we_o in_o such_o sort_n as_o that_o our_o enemy_n can_v do_v nothing_o against_o we_o but_o that_o we_o may_v be_v assure_v as_o david_n here_o make_v mention_v but_o we_o must_v note_v that_o which_o he_o say_v that_o he_o have_v have_v the_o word_n of_o god_n continual_o with_o he_o for_o so_o he_o use_v to_o say_v and_o that_o be_v to_o signify_v unto_o we_o that_o we_o ought_v never_o to_o depart_v from_o that_o which_o god_n have_v once_o declare_v unto_o we_o and_o not_o to_o be_v so_o fitch_v as_o the_o more_o part_n of_o we_o be_v accustom_v to_o be_v and_o there_o be_v not_o that_o he_o among_o we_o which_o be_v not_o infect_v with_o such_o a_o vice_n that_o although_o the_o word_n of_o god_n have_v take_v root_n in_o we_o yet_o can_v we_o not_o hold_v ourselves_o from_o howl_v as_o the_o wolf_n do_v as_o we_o common_o say_v when_o as_o we_o shall_v be_v vex_v with_o any_o temptation_n but_o see_v how_o david_n show_v we_o that_o he_o abide_v steadfast_a &_o constant_a whatsoever_o come_v have_v a_o sure_a and_o ever_o continue_v foundation_n see_v then_o what_o david_n his_o meaning_n be_v here_o to_o show_v we_o that_o man_n may_v very_o well_o teach_v we_o yea_o but_o that_o shall_v be_v but_o as_o a_o a._n b._n c._n until_o such_o time_n as_o we_o be_v come_v to_o the_o school_n of_o god_n it_o can_v not_o be_v deny_v but_o that_o god_n teach_v we_o very_o well_o by_o the_o mean_a of_o man_n as_o in_o deed_n it_o come_v from_o he_o which_o we_o learn_v when_o as_o man_n make_v plain_a unto_o we_o his_o truth_n and_o lead_v we_o in_o the_o right_a way_n of_o the_o scripture_n but_o here_o david_n speak_v of_o that_o which_o may_v he_o teach_v he_o without_o this_o doctrine_n which_o he_o have_v learn_v of_o god_n when_o as_o he_o have_v be_v enlighten_v by_o the_o holy_a ghost_n and_o have_v know_v what_o the_o secret_n of_o the_o law_n be_v when_o then_o he_o have_v have_v this_o spiritual_a knowledge_n he_o say_v that_o all_o whatsoever_o he_o have_v learn_v of_o man_n be_v nothing_o in_o comparison_n now_o he_o add_v for_o confirmation_n that_o he_o be_v wise_a than_o his_o enemy_n here_o he_o do_v not_o only_o declare_v that_o the_o word_n of_o themselves_o credit_n and_o estimation_n for_o if_o a_o man_n be_v eloquent_a and_o can_v speak_v gallant_o and_o write_v excellent_o or_o that_o he_o have_v some_o other_o especial_a science_n or_o knowledge_n he_o think_v himself_o a_o marvelous_a man_n &_o able_a to_o catch_v the_o moon_n with_o his_o tooth_n as_o we_o say_v see_v then_o it_o be_v so_o that_o man_n be_v so_o rash_a and_o headstrong_a that_o they_o persuade_v themselves_o to_o be_v wonder_a man_n if_o they_o have_v once_o get_v never_o so_o little_a knowledge_n in_o humanity_n which_o pass_v no_o far_a than_o the_o outward_a element_n of_o the_o world_n by_o this_o we_o be_v so_o much_o the_o more_o too_o be_v admonish_v too_o esteem_v this_o heavenly_a knowledge_n which_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n which_o we_o can_v never_o be_v able_a to_o attain_v unto_o without_o it_o please_v god_n to_o instruct_v we_o to_o the_o end_n
not_o from_o the_o love_n which_o we_o ought_v to_o bear_v to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n see_v then_o what_o we_o must_v keep_v in_o mind_n for_o the_o understanding_n of_o this_o text_n and_o after_o with_o it_o ne_o yet_o be_v colour_v with_o any_o worldly_a eloquence_n be_v certain_a secret_n which_o may_v very_o well_o ravish_v we_o with_o marvelous_a astonishment_n and_o in_o deed_n the_o very_a cause_n why_o these_o faithless_a and_o comtemner_n of_o god_n so_o little_a esteem_n of_o the_o doctrine_n of_o salvation_n be_v for_o that_o they_o be_v brutish_a never_o taste_v of_o that_o which_o it_o mean_v to_o utter_v see_v then_o whereupon_o this_o pride_n and_o ungodliness_n arise_v which_o we_o see_v at_o this_o day_n too_o be_v in_o the_o great_a part_n of_o the_o world_n so_o that_o there_o be_v very_o few_o which_o bear_v that_o reverence_n to_o the_o word_n of_o god_n as_o they_o ought_v for_o it_o be_v a_o old_a say_n no_o man_n can_v love_v a_o thing_n before_o such_o time_n as_o he_o know_v it_o they_o then_o which_o be_v so_o blockish_a as_o that_o they_o have_v neither_o sense_n nor_o judgement_n right_o to_o discern_v of_o the_o truth_n of_o god_n slip_v it_o over_o yea_o and_o tread_v such_o a_o inestimable_a treasure_n as_o it_o be_v under_o their_o foot_n but_o they_o which_o have_v once_o know_v what_o it_o be_v that_o god_n teach_v we_o in_o the_o holy_a scripture_n may_v very_o well_o say_v with_o david_n that_o they_o be_v wonderful_a thing_n and_o so_o high_a mystery_n as_o that_o we_o ought_v to_o wonder_v at_o they_o &_o do_v deserve_v that_o every_o one_o of_o we_o shall_v whole_o apply_v his_o mind_n thereto_o now_o he_o say_v that_o for_o this_o cause_n his_o soul_n do_v keep_v the_o testimony_n of_o god_n this_o import_v a_o blast_n of_o wound_n to_o be_v inconstant_a and_o unsteadfast_a but_o while_o they_o be_v sail_v through_o the_o wave_n of_o the_o sea_n they_o must_v hold_v themselves_o firm_a and_o sure_a in_o this_o righteousness_n and_o sincerity_n which_o be_v in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n see_v then_o how_o i_o must_v know_v the_o everlasting_a stableness_n of_o the_o righteousness_n of_o the_o law_n and_o in_o deed_n we_o shall_v have_v thereof_o a_o full_a feel_n and_o declaration_n in_o the_o word_n of_o god_n when_o as_o we_o shall_v receive_v it_o as_o we_o ought_v but_o for_o so_o much_o as_o we_o fail_v herein_o and_o that_o we_o have_v not_o as_o of_o ourselves_o the_o spirit_n to_o comprehend_v this_o righteousness_n whereof_o in_o this_o place_n mention_n be_v make_v ne_o yet_o to_o attain_v thereto_o yea_o and_o if_o that_o we_o shall_v attain_v thereto_o so_o that_o there_o be_v nothing_o to_o lead_v we_o to_o iniquity_n yet_o let_v we_o pray_v with_o david_n that_o it_o end_n we_o may_v conceive_v this_o truth_n and_o righteousness_n which_o be_v in_o his_o law_n see_v here_o i_o say_v how_o that_o the_o life_n of_o man_n can_v be_v but_o accurse_v until_o such_o time_n as_o they_o be_v come_v even_o unto_o this_o point_n and_o so_o let_v we_o not_o learn_v too_o please_v ourselves_o as_o these_o miserable_a wretched_a worldling_n do_v who_o be_v even_o drunken_a in_o their_o pleasure_n and_o pastime_n and_o think_v that_o there_o be_v no_o pleasure_n nor_o felicity_n without_o they_o exceed_v and_o outrage_n in_o all_o vanity_n and_o folly_n but_o four_o point_n which_o we_o have_v to_o note_v in_o this_o place_n to_o the_o end_n that_o every_o of_o we_o may_v discharge_v ourselves_o of_o they_o for_o see_v from_o whence_o we_o must_v learn_v the_o manner_n to_o pray_v well_o to_o wit_n in_o the_o first_o place_n not_o with_o have_v our_o mouth_n go_v but_o we_o must_v lay_v open_a our_o heart_n and_o all_o our_o affection_n before_o the_o majesty_n of_o god_n and_o pray_v in_o spiritual_a truth_n and_o not_o only_o so_o but_o we_o must_v also_o be_v inflame_v with_o such_o a_o zeal_n as_o that_o we_o be_v full_o assure_v that_o he_o will_v both_o hear_v and_o help_v us._n and_o for_o performance_n hereof_o we_o must_v be_v touch_v to_o the_o quick_a with_o the_o knowledge_n of_o our_o sin_n and_o know_v that_o our_o estate_n be_v most_o accurse_a if_o god_n have_v not_o pity_n on_o we_o and_o also_o what_o the_o salvation_n be_v which_o he_o have_v promise_v we_o we_o must_v have_v always_o these_o thing_n in_o mind_n to_o and_o that_o we_o be_v always_o as_o it_o be_v in_o his_o presence_n last_o we_o must_v persevere_v herein_o &_o not_o take_v up_o the_o buckler_n and_o by_o and_o by_o lay_v they_o down_o again_o and_o be_v soon_o weary_v but_o we_o must_v still_o continue_v in_o our_o prayer_n as_o david_n here_o show_v we_o a_o example_n now_o after_o he_o have_v make_v these_o protestation_n he_o go_v on_o and_o say_v that_o after_o he_o shall_v be_v hear_v and_o shall_v have_v obtain_v his_o request_n that_o he_o will_v keep_v the_o testimony_n of_o god_n here_o david_n show_v that_o he_o will_v not_o be_v unthankful_a for_o the_o grace_n which_o be_v bestow_v upon_o he_o and_o this_o be_v a_o point_n which_o ought_v great_o to_o be_v consider_v of_o by_o us._n for_o what_o be_v the_o cause_n that_o god_n so_o easy_o grant_v unto_o we_o whatsoever_o we_o demand_v according_a to_o his_o holy_a will_n that_o he_o so_o love_o intreat_v we_o yea_o that_o his_o hand_n be_v continual_o open_a unto_o we_o to_o the_o end_n liberal_o to_o bestow_v his_o benefit_n and_o riches_n upon_o we_o wherefore_o show_v he_o himself_o so_o liberal_a every_o way_n unto_o we_o it_o be_v to_o the_o end_n god_n except_o we_o be_v already_o prepare_v to_o acknowledge_v his_o benefit_n and_o too_o have_v this_o full_a resolute_a mind_n that_o david_n have_v to_o wit_n to_o glorify_v god_n when_o as_o he_o shall_v have_v hear_v our_o prayer_n as_o also_o we_o see_v these_o two_o thing_n to_o go_v together_o in_o another_o place_n where_o it_o be_v say_v call_v upon_o i_o in_o the_o day_n of_o trouble_n and_o i_o will_v deliver_v thou_o and_o thou_o shall_v gorifie_v i_o see_v then_o what_o we_o have_v to_o note_v upon_o this_o say_n where_o david_n say_v that_o he_o will_v keep_v the_o ordinance_n and_o testimony_n of_o god_n but_o we_o be_v to_o consider_v in_o the_o second_o place_n what_o the_o thanks_n be_v which_o god_n require_v of_o we_o after_o he_o have_v holpen_v we_o &_o that_o we_o have_v feel_v his_o goodness_n in_o not_o reject_v our_o prayer_n now_o this_o be_v true_a that_o it_o be_v meet_v that_o the_o mouth_n do_v his_o office_n to_o magnify_v the_o name_n of_o god_n in_o confess_v how_o great_o we_o be_v behold_v unto_o he_o and_o yet_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o that_o our_o mouth_n have_v speak_v but_o we_o must_v glorify_v he_o with_o the_o whole_a action_n of_o our_o life_n and_o too_o show_v this_o acknowledgement_n how_o great_o we_o be_v bind_v unto_o he_o in_o serve_v &_o honowr_v he_o in_o all_o and_o through_o all_o david_n then_o in_o abide_v that_o god_n shall_v exercise_v our_o patience_n nor_o yet_o humble_a us._n let_v we_o then_o thorough_o confider_v of_o the_o example_n of_o david_n for_o although_o that_o god_n have_v special_o choose_v he_o out_o among_o the_o rest_n and_o have_v bestow_v so_o many_o excellent_a grace_n upon_o he_o yet_o for_o all_o that_o he_o be_v content_v that_o the_o ungodly_a shall_v god_n in_o all_o age_n to_o have_v his_o child_n subject_a to_o the_o malice_n of_o their_o enemy_n let_v we_o also_o have_v a_o further_a consideration_n of_o this_o which_o he_o say_v that_o they_o be_v far_o from_o the_o law_n of_o god_n for_o this_o import_v that_o they_o neither_o have_v truth_n nor_o equity_n in_o they_o when_o then_o the_o ungodly_a shall_v with_o the_o contempt_n of_o god_n and_o a_o extreme_a impiety_n even_o rush_v upon_o we_o to_o overthrow_v we_o let_v we_o then_o i_o say_v remember_v the_o example_n of_o david_n and_o say_v wherefore_o do_v the_o wicked_a he_o must_v needs_o merit_v it_o be_v very_o true_a that_o they_o will_v confess_v that_o there_o be_v venial_a sin_n intermeddle_v amongst_o but_o yet_o that_o the_o same_o can_v hinder_v they_o from_o merit_v when_o as_o they_o have_v this_o final_a intent_n to_o praise_n god_n yea_o and_o so_o also_o as_o that_o when_o they_o come_v home_o again_o untoo_o their_o house_n they_o think_v not_o this_o whole_o to_o mock_v god_n and_o to_o dally_v with_o he_o more_o than_o a_o man_n will_v dandle_v a_o young_a child_n but_o see_v how_o this_o miserable_a curse_a people_n have_v pervert_v all_o the_o holy_a scripture_n in_o mingle_v it_o with_o so_o shameful_a thing_n that_o even_o the_o very_a heathen_a when_o as_o they_o shall_v have_v get_v the_o understanding_n of_o the_o least_o nothing_o but_o according_a unto_o his_o word_n since_o than_o it_o be_v so_o that_o god_n have_v speak_v to_o we_o in_o general_a declare_v that_o he_o be_v ready_a to_o play_v the_o part_n of_o a_o schoolmaster_n if_o we_o will_v become_v as_o his_o scholar_n we_o may_v then_o say_v with_o david_n o_o lord_n give_v i_o understanding_n according_a to_o thy_o promise_n now_o we_o be_v here_o brief_o to_o mark_v two_o note_n the_o first_o be_v that_o we_o be_v advertise_v to_o acknowledge_v our_o ignorance_n and_o rudeness_n for_o if_o we_o crave_v of_o god_n to_o be_v make_v wise_a and_o then_o we_o think_v to_o become_v wise_a through_o our_o own_o industry_n and_o power_n this_o be_v a_o mere_a mockery_n we_o muse_v then_o acknowledge_v ourselves_o to_o be_v unprovided_a both_o of_o wit_n and_o reason_n if_o we_o will_v make_v this_o request_n in_o truth_n to_o wit_n to_o have_v god_n to_o give_v we_o understanding_n and_o thus_o much_o for_o the_o first_o point_n for_o the_o rest_n we_o ought_v to_o know_v that_o god_n desire_v but_o to_o receive_v we_o with_o this_o condition_n to_o wit_n even_o when_o we_o shall_v be_v humble_v and_o cast_v down_o for_o otherwise_o we_o will_v never_o abide_v to_o be_v instruct_v whatsoever_o holy_a scripture_n we_o have_v because_o that_o in_o it_o he_o say_v that_o it_o be_v his_o office_n to_o teach_v the_o humble_a and_o meek_a that_o it_o be_v as_o it_o be_v his_o very_a proper_a nature_n to_o open_v the_o eye_n of_o the_o blind_a and_o to_o instruct_v those_o which_o be_v altogether_o ignorant_a to_o gather_v together_o the_o stray_a sheep_n and_o to_o bring_v they_o to_o the_o haven_n of_o salvation_n when_o as_o they_o be_v in_o the_o way_n of_o perdition_n since_o than_o it_o be_v so_o that_o god_n take_v all_o this_o upon_o himself_o let_v not_o we_o doubt_v but_o that_o he_o will_v hear_v all_o our_o request_n but_o what_o we_o see_v how_o cold_a we_o be_v for_o we_o be_v so_o hinder_v with_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o world_n as_o that_o we_o leave_v out_o the_o principal_n now_o after_o that_o david_n have_v declare_v what_o he_o chief_o desire_v he_o go_v on_o and_o say_v my_o lip_n shall_v speak_v of_o thy_o praise_n when_o thou_o have_v teach_v i_o thy_o statute_n here_o he_o prosecute_v that_o which_o he_o begin_v withal_o at_o the_o first_o that_o be_v to_o show_v that_o he_o will_v not_o be_v unthankful_a but_o that_o he_o will_v acknowledge_v the_o benefit_n of_o god_n it_o be_v very_o true_a that_o when_o we_o come_v unto_o god_n it_o be_v not_o any_o thing_n needful_a for_o we_o to_o make_v great_a outward_a show_n as_o though_o he_o know_v they_o not_o perfect_o enough_o as_o of_o himself_o but_o thus_o he_o mean_v that_o when_o we_o pray_v he_o will_v have_v we_o to_o say_v that_o we_o will_v never_o hereafter_o be_v unthankful_a unto_o he_o and_o this_o need_v not_o neither_o but_o to_o the_o end_n the_o better_a to_o stir_v we_o up_o to_o do_v our_o duty_n and_o this_o also_o make_v we_o to_o pray_v with_o a_o bold_a courage_n to_o feel_v the_o fruit_n which_o shall_v come_v unto_o we_o when_o as_o we_o shall_v have_v obtain_v that_o which_o we_o have_v crave_v and_o desire_v david_n then_o in_o say_v here_o my_o lip_n o_o lord_n shall_v speak_v of_o thy_o praise_n when_o thou_o have_v teach_v i_o thy_o statute_n he_o mean_v that_o he_o shall_v be_v dispose_v to_o praise_n god_n with_o open_a mouth_n now_o why_o speak_v david_n after_o this_o manner_n in_o thus_o do_v he_o take_v upon_o he_o and_o stir_v up_o himself_o too_o such_o a_o his_o grace_n so_o much_o the_o more_o ought_v we_o to_o be_v ready_a to_o praise_v and_o magnify_v he_o for_o ever_o for_o sure_o this_o be_v all_o the_o recompense_n that_o we_o be_v any_o way_n able_a to_o yield_v he_o if_o so_o be_v 116._o psal_n 116._o it_o may_v be_v call_v recompense_n howbeit_o he_o accept_v it_o thankful_o under_o this_o title_n as_o the_o scripture_n thereof_o make_v mention_n since_o than_o it_o be_v so_o if_o we_o will_v not_o that_o the_o benefit_n which_o god_n have_v bestow_v upon_o we_o turn_v itself_o into_o condemnation_n by_o reason_n of_o our_o show_v that_o they_o never_o feel_v what_o the_o power_n of_o the_o word_n be_v and_o thy_o so_o because_o it_o be_v impossible_a for_o we_o to_o have_v any_o taste_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n to_o receive_v thereby_o any_o instruction_n but_o that_o we_o must_v needs_o be_v move_v and_o ravish_v therewith_o to_o sing_v praise_n unto_o his_o glorious_a name_n whatsoever_o he_o be_v then_o that_o shall_v show_v himself_o negligent_a herein_o sufficient_o enough_o declare_v that_o he_o know_v not_o what_o the_o word_n of_o god_n be_v albeit_o he_o protest_v himself_o to_o be_v a_o christian_n let_v we_o now_o come_v to_o those_o which_o be_v not_o only_o dumb_a themselves_o but_o that_o which_o be_v also_o worse_o which_o will_v shut_v up_o the_o mouth_n of_o other_o to_o the_o end_n it_o may_v not_o be_v lawful_a for_o they_o too_o praise_v god_n and_o yet_o forsooth_o these_o man_n be_v so_o shameless_a as_o that_o they_o will_v notwithstanding_o be_v take_v for_o good_a christian_n but_o by_o these_o mean_v they_o declare_v themselves_o too_o be_v the_o deadly_a enemy_n of_o god_n yea_o worse_o than_o the_o very_a deville_n and_o why_o so_o forsooth_o they_o think_v it_o not_o enough_o that_o they_o have_v nothing_o profit_v in_o the_o school_n of_o god_n neither_o yet_o be_v they_o content_v to_o show_v the_o way_n to_o do_v well_o unto_o other_o but_o they_o will_v have_v all_o the_o world_n to_o be_v like_a unto_o themselves_o that_o there_o shall_v never_o mention_v be_v make_v of_o praise_v god_n &_o yet_o in_o the_o mean_a while_n as_o i_o have_v already_o say_v this_o word_n christian_n shall_v stand_v they_o in_o never_o a_o penny_n now_o without_o all_o doubt_n god_n disalow_v of_o all_o those_o which_o will_v not_o give_v themselves_o to_o sing_v praise_n unto_o his_o majesty_n and_o that_o will_v not_o stir_v up_o their_o neigh_n bour_v to_o do_v the_o like_a that_o they_o may_v show_v themselves_o to_o have_v study_v his_o word_n but_o let_v we_o be_v well_o assure_v that_o it_o be_v notinough_o too_o open_a our_o mouth_n and_o to_o sing_v praise_n unto_o he_o with_o the_o tongue_n but_o it_o must_v also_o come_v from_o a_o well_o affect_a heart_n for_o david_n tell_v we_o nothere_o that_o he_o will_v solemnize_v the_o praise_n of_o god_n but_o in_o address_v himself_o unto_o god_n he_o protest_v before_o he_o that_o he_o will_v sing_v praise_n unto_o he_o and_o in_o speak_v this_o he_o right_o well_o know_v that_o his_o heart_n must_v needs_o be_v dispose_v thereto_o wherefore_o when_o as_o we_o will_v magnify_v the_o name_n of_o god_n as_o appertain_v let_v we_o not_o deliver_v it_o out_o with_o the_o mouth_n only_o but_o our_o heart_n also_o must_v be_v set_v thereto_o and_o that_o it_o agree_v therewith_o to_o make_v a_o sweet_a harmony_n if_o this_o be_v so_o all_o our_o life_n by_o little_a and_o little_o shall_v be_v answerable_a thereto_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v no_o untruthe_n which_o we_o have_v pronounce_v with_o our_o mouth_n now_o he_o add_v a_o sentence_n which_o be_v very_o short_a to_o wit_n my_o tongue_n shall_v treat_v of_o thy_o word_n and_o why_o because_o all_o thy_o commandment_n say_v he_o the_o knowledge_n of_o god_n and_o of_o his_o truth_n he_o use_v this_o word_n to_o sing_v not_o content_v himself_o to_o speak_v after_o a_o plain_a manner_n but_o express_v that_o he_o will_v sing_v aloud_o and_o clear_v that_o he_o will_v make_v his_o word_n to_o resound_v that_o it_o may_v be_v hear_v yea_o that_o it_o shall_v be_v a_o thing_n as_o notorious_o know_v as_o the_o very_a common_a song_n now_o since_o it_o be_v so_o that_o david_n speak_v after_o this_o sort_n let_v we_o now_o see_v what_o our_o duty_n be_v for_o as_o i_o have_v already_o say_v heretofore_o he_o brag_v not_o of_o his_o own_o power_n but_o the_o holy_a ghost_n have_v set_v he_o before_o we_o in_o stead_n of_o a_o glass_n to_o send_v it_o may_v serve_v we_o for_o our_o better_a instruction_n now_o when_o as_o we_o shall_v have_v know_v the_o truth_n of_o our_o good_a god_n what_o be_v there_o they_o for_o we_o to_o do_v forsooth_o we_o must_v not_o hold_v fast_o this_o treasure_n as_o it_o be_v lock_v up_o in_o a_o cheste_n but_o communicate_v his_o grace_n unto_o other_o yea_o and_o do_v the_o best_a we_o can_v to_o draw_v on_o the_o miserable_a ignorant_a people_n too_o the_o service_n of_o god_n and_o too_o carry_v about_o with_o we_o the_o doctrine_n to_o publish_v it_o to_o all_o man_n when_o as_o it_o be_v commit_v unto_o we_o as_o a_o treasure_n and_o to_o bestow_v the_o gift_n which_o we_o have_v receive_v upon_o our_o neighbour_n according_a to_o that_o measure_n of_o faith_n which_o god_n have_v give_v us._n howbeit_o this_o order_n be_v far_o of_o from_o we_o for_o if_o there_o be_v but_o three_o word_n of_o the_o word_n of_o god_n speak_v we_o will_v soon_o be_v weary_a of_o it_o may_v we_o shall_v not_o hear_v it_o speak_v of_o at_o this_o day_n it_o be_v so_o far_o of_o that_o it_o be_v talk_v of_o both_o at_o the_o table_n in_o the_o way_n and_o every_o where_o as_o that_o we_o can_v hardly_o abide_v that_o even_o for_o fashion_n sake_n the_o preach_n of_o it_o be_v keep_v and_o although_o it_o be_v here_o lawful_a too_o speak_v in_o the_o pulpit_n one_o hour_n in_o the_o name_n of_o god_n yet_o shall_v you_o have_v a_o great_a number_n of_o dog_n which_o will_v not_o stick_v even_o to_o gyrne_v at_o it_o as_o if_o god_n be_v too_o too_o much_o privilege_v it_o be_v very_o far_o of_o to_o have_v every_o man_n to_o apply_v himself_o to_o sing_v the_o commandment_n of_o god_n and_o his_o whole_a word_n and_o for_o we_o to_o have_v our_o ear_n beat_v with_o it_o now_o whence_o come_v this_o unthankfulness_n very_o because_o we_o never_o taste_v of_o that_o which_o david_n here_o add_v all_o thy_o statute_n say_v he_o be_v righteous_a if_o we_o do_v thorough_o know_v what_o equity_n and_o pureness_n there_o be_v in_o the_o statute_n of_o god_n without_o doubt_n we_o shall_v be_v more_o earnest_n to_o learn_v hold_v and_o show_v they_o unto_o other_o than_o heretofore_o we_o have_v be_v so_o then_o all_z they_o which_o make_v no_o account_n too_o instruct_v their_o neighbour_n and_o do_v not_o esteem_v of_o the_o knowledge_n and_o faith_n which_o they_o have_v receive_v do_v hereby_o show_v that_o they_o will_v not_o render_v the_o righteousness_n to_o god_n as_o to_o he_o appertame_v according_o as_o it_o be_v contain_v in_o his_o word_n and_o as_o he_o himself_o show_v it_o therein_o now_o david_n by_o and_o by_o add_v let_v he_o confess_v his_o want_n and_o that_o he_o be_v as_o a_o man_n which_o need_v help_v even_o as_o though_o he_o have_v never_o have_v more_o need_n and_o that_o it_o be_v not_o in_o he_o to_o deliver_v himself_o neither_o can_v he_o find_v it_o in_o any_o of_o his_o creature_n and_o therefore_o except_o god_n have_v stretch_v forth_o his_o hand_n see_v how_o david_n have_v be_v utter_o cast_v away_o now_o this_o confession_n here_o be_v very_o profitable_a for_o us._n for_o which_o of_o we_o be_v he_o that_o can_v be_v without_o affliction_n and_o that_o be_v able_a to_o say_v i_o have_v all_o thing_n that_o be_v necessary_a it_o be_v most_o true_a that_o we_o be_v more_o careful_a for_o that_o which_o concern_v our_o body_n and_o this_o present_a life_n then_o for_o that_o which_o be_v require_v for_o the_o salvation_n of_o our_o soul_n
