prepare_v her_o appetite_n to_o new_a refresh_n the_o soul_n that_o be_v desirous_a of_o meat_n by_o start_n and_o fit_n be_v clog_v and_o make_v not_o away_o with_o the_o former_a but_o when_o the_o use_n of_o nature_n have_v convey_v one_o meal_n away_o and_o spend_v the_o strength_n of_o one_o lo_o the_o vein_n grow_v very_o attractive_a and_o pinch_v the_o stomach_n to_o covet_v more_o and_o be_o persuade_v many_o a_o poor_a soul_n conceive_v not_o of_o each_o mystery_n in_o the_o sacramental_a union_n although_o he_o believe_v christ_n to_o be_v there_o present_a in_o his_o word_n and_o unavoidable_a it_o be_v and_o what_o a_o stain_n and_o guilt_n it_o have_v bring_v upon_o all_o flesh_n none_o except_v answer_n 7_o last_o lest_o it_o shall_v be_v think_v that_o god_n make_v man_n thus_o corrupt_a to_o damn_v he_o its_o necessary_a to_o know_v man_n be_v not_o make_v thus_o sinful_a and_o curse_a at_o the_o first_o but_o create_v in_o integrity_n of_o nature_n in_o all_o the_o both_o minister_n and_o people_n teach_v and_o hear_v this_o point_n of_o knowledge_n as_o a_o thing_n sufficient_a to_o enable_v a_o receiver_n though_o i_o abhor_v their_o opinion_n as_o shall_v appear_v in_o the_o sequel_n yet_o i_o will_v by_o this_o i_o have_v say_v stop_v the_o mouth_n of_o any_o such_o as_o dream_v of_o a_o knowledge_n which_o be_v not_o competent_a to_o salvation_n sure_o it_o be_v a_o knowledge_n incompetent_a for_o salvation_n can_v be_v competent_a for_o the_o supper_n a_o demand_n some_o might_n here_o perhaps_o ask_v how_o they_o may_v be_v direct_v to_o know_v these_o point_n sound_o to_o wit_n of_o the_o supper_n and_o sacrament_n and_o all_o those_o doctrine_n which_o they_o depend_v upon_o answer_n i_o answer_v that_o belong_v not_o to_o this_o chapter_n but_o the_o reader_n shall_v find_v they_o all_o handle_v in_o my_o practical_a catechism_n at_o large_a and_o brief_o touch_v in_o the_o second_o chapter_n of_o this_o second_o treatise_n and_o the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o sacrament_n especial_o the_o supper_n be_v handle_v at_o large_a in_o the_o former_a treatise_n the_o three_o last_o chapter_n to_o which_o i_o send_v the_o reader_n with_o this_o caution_n that_o i_o handle_v these_o thing_n at_o large_a here_o and_o there_o not_o to_o the_o end_n that_o my_o book_n shall_v never_o come_v into_o their_o hand_n save_v when_o they_o come_v to_o the_o sacrament_n for_o to_o what_o purpose_n be_v that_o but_o that_o they_o due_o exercise_v themselves_o in_o read_v of_o the_o whole_a that_o note_v those_o especial_a thing_n whiâ—h_v they_o most_o need_v in_o the_o matter_n of_o knowledge_n and_o trial_n they_o may_v be_v able_a to_o turn_v to_o they_o and_o make_v use_n of_o they_o familiar_o when_o they_o come_v to_o the_o supper_n i_o shall_v now_o come_v to_o the_o three_o branch_n how_o a_o man_n may_v try_v himself_o about_o this_o knowledge_n but_o i_o consider_v that_o this_o will_v better_o come_v in_o in_o the_o use_n of_o exhortation_n i_o will_v refer_v it_o therefore_o to_o that_o place_n and_o be_v the_o breefer_v in_o other_o use_n insist_v somewhat_o more_o full_o in_o that_o use_v 1_o first_o then_o let_v this_o doctrine_n teach_v we_o to_o abhor_v the_o woeful_a superstition_n of_o popish_a sacrament_n and_o the_o woeful_a ignorance_n of_o popish_a receiver_n confutation_n exhortation_n with_o confutation_n who_o not_o only_o in_o practice_n but_o even_o in_o doctrine_n maintain_v ignorance_n to_o be_v the_o mother_n of_o devotion_n and_o so_o hatch_v in_o their_o bosom_n all_o ignorant_a one_o as_o principal_a member_n of_o their_o curse_a synagogue_n and_o to_o say_v truth_n their_o sacrifice_n of_o the_o mass_n be_v itself_o a_o mass_n of_o confusion_n have_v no_o colour_n of_o bottom_n out_o of_o the_o word_n who_o but_o the_o blind_a be_v meet_v for_o it_o who_o but_o the_o deceive_v as_o willing_a to_o be_v lead_v by_o blind_a guide_n as_o they_o be_v to_o
