because_o none_o be_v call_v about_o they_o have_v any_o be_v call_v who_o can_v doubt_v but_o they_o will_v have_v avow_v that_o in_o the_o council_n which_o they_o all_o teach_v in_o their_o church_n this_o he_o say_v but_o his_o yea_n and_o nay_o be_v be_v no_o oracle_n with_o we_o for_o why_o shall_v they_o be_v when_o a_o general_a council_n be_v not_o so_o with_o he_o then_o present_o he_o humble_o crave_v pardon_n for_o his_o bold_a presumption_n viz._n of_o these_o hard_a say_n against_o general_a council_n and_o i_o as_o humble_o beg_v leave_v to_o speak_v for_o they_o in_o behalf_n of_o the_o church_n of_o england_n and_o the_o law_n of_o the_o land_n both_o which_o i_o be_o sure_a i_o have_v on_o my_o side_n and_o both_o give_v much_o deference_n to_o general_n council_n the_o twenty_o article_n of_o our_o church_n have_v these_o word_n the_o church_n have_v authority_n in_o matter_n of_o faith_n and_o the_o statute_n of_o the_o land_n run_v thus_o eliz._n 1._o c._n 1._o that_o none_o however_o commission_v shall_v in_o any_o wise_a have_v authority_n or_o power_n to_o order_n or_o determine_v or_o adjudge_v any_o matter_n or_o cause_n to_o be_v bellarmine_n be_v please_v to_o account_v for_o such_o a_o parcel_n of_o eighteen_o of_o they_o but_o those_o very_a few_o we_o count_v for_o general_n which_o the_o church_n universal_a before_o the_o unhappy_a breach_n between_o east_n and_o west_n receive_v for_o general_n but_o now_o to_o unravel_v the_o skein_n which_o be_v much_o entangle_v and_o ruffle_v in_o his_o confuse_a way_n the_o diminution_n he_o put_v upon_o general_a council_n may_v be_v reduce_v to_o these_o three_o head_n 1._o that_o general_a council_n may_v err_v in_o point_n of_o faith_n because_o they_o have_v no_o promise_n to_o the_o contrary_n 2._o because_o they_o want_v number_n even_o of_o the_o clergy_n be_v not_o the_o thousand_o part_n of_o they_o and_o therefore_o to_o put_v this_o argument_n as_o far_o as_o ever_o it_o will_v go_v be_v not_o true_o general_n 3._o because_o of_o the_o prejudices_fw-la they_o that_o shall_v sit_v in_o council_n will_v bring_v along_o with_o they_o &_o than_o who_o can_v doubt_v but_o they_o will_v avow_v that_o in_o the_o council_n which_o they_o all_o teach_v in_o their_o church_n 1._o in_o answer_n to_o his_o first_o exception_n i_o premise_v these_o thus_o far_o only_o i_o presume_v to_o explain_v that_o god_n will_v never_o permit_v they_o to_o deny_v and_o declare_v against_o any_o fundamental_a truth_n and_o much_o less_o to_o affirm_v and_o declare_v any_o fundamental_a error_n to_o be_v a_o truth_n and_o least_o of_o all_o to_o declare_v it_o a_o fundamental_a truth_n and_o if_o this_o author_n ask_v which_o of_o god_n promise_n give_v we_o encouragement_n to_o hope_v and_o believe_v this_o i_o refer_v he_o to_o the_o prophet_n isaiah_n ch_n 30._o v._n 20._o and_o though_o the_o lord_n give_v you_o the_o bread_n of_o adversity_n and_o the_o water_n of_o affliction_n yet_o shall_v not_o thy_o teacher_n be_v remove_v into_o a_o corner_n any_o more_o but_o thy_o eye_n shall_v see_v thy_o teacher_n that_o this_o chap._n be_v
