of_o this_o but_o to_o apply_v it_o to_o ourselves_o in_o three_o or_o four_o particular_n one_a let_v we_o not_o be_v scandalize_v at_o suffering_n or_o insult_v over_o those_o that_o suffer_v let_v we_o not_o be_v offend_v at_o suffer_v it_o be_v the_o lot_n of_o the_o righteous_a in_o this_o world_n the_o church_n patrimony_n the_o portion_n of_o the_o people_n of_o god_n the_o seed_n of_o the_o woman_n it_o be_v promise_v shall_v bruise_v the_o serpent_n head_n but_o it_o be_v threaten_v that_o it_o shall_v bruise_v his_o heel_n though_o the_o former_a be_v more_o fatal_a yet_o the_o latter_a be_v no_o less_o painful_a of_o which_o the_o seed_n of_o the_o woman_n and_o it_o be_v genuine_a offspring_n have_v be_v and_o be_v sad_o sensible_a though_o god_n have_v assure_v the_o the_o cross_n for_o the_o sake_n of_o christ_n but_o few_o example_n of_o it_o we_o have_v have_v teacher_n too_o much_o of_o the_o pharisaic_a temper_n bind_v heavy_a burden_n and_o grievous_a to_o be_v bear_v and_o lay_v they_o on_o man_n shoulder_n which_o they_o themselves_o will_v not_o move_v with_o one_o of_o their_o finger_n but_o it_o be_v not_o enough_o to_o talk_v of_o the_o cross_n but_o we_o must_v take_v it_o up_o if_o any_o one_o will_v be_v my_o disciple_n let_v he_o deny_v himself_o and_o take_v up_o his_o cross_n he_o must_v neither_o be_v offend_v at_o nor_o yet_o despise_v it_o or_o those_o that_o bear_v it_o it_o be_v a_o mark_n of_o a_o unchristian_a spirit_n to_o insult_v over_o those_o that_o suffer_v for_o conscience_n sake_n it_o be_v to_o sit_v down_o in_o the_o seat_n of_o the_o scornful_a and_o partake_v with_o those_o from_o who_o the_o primitive_a sufferer_n have_v trial_n of_o cruel_a mock_n they_o who_o insult_v over_o scoff_n at_o and_o despise_v those_o that_o suffer_v for_o conscience_n sake_n for_o their_o constant_a adherence_n to_o the_o principle_n of_o faith_n and_o the_o truth_n of_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o law_n of_o god_n will_v have_v do_v the_o same_o have_v they_o be_v then_o live_a to_o jesus_n christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n and_o martyr_n who_o suffer_v for_o conscience_n sake_n 2_o let_v we_o rather_o choose_v to_o suffer_v than_o to_o sin_n of_o which_o choice_n moses_n have_v give_v we_o a_o precedent_n and_o example_n heb._n 11.25_o choose_v rather_o to_o suffer_v afflicton_n with_o the_o people_n of_o god_n than_o to_o enjoy_v the_o pleasure_n of_o sin_n for_o a_o season_n choose_v rather_o none_n will_v choose_v to_o suffer_v affliction_n can_v he_o honest_o avoid_v it_o for_o no_o
