16._o 13._o 18._o and_o sure_o as_o any_o sin_n be_v more_o heinous_a foul_a and_o abominable_a so_o be_v it_o more_o strong_a to_o infect_v witness_n that_o monster_n of_o idolatry_n which_o how_o soon_o it_o poison_v the_o whole_a world_n and_o how_o easy_o yet_o it_o sh_v its_o venom_n into_o the_o heart_n of_o man_n the_o old_a heathenish_a jewish_a and_o now_o popish_a idolater_n sufficient_o testify_v no_o less_o contagious_a be_v swear_v drunkenness_n curse_v and_o such_o other_o what_o reasonable_a man_n can_v deny_v these_o sin_n to_o be_v as_o catch_v as_o pox_n plague_n or_o any_o like_a disease_n of_o the_o body_n no_o soon_o entrâ—d_v that_o image_n worship_n into_o the_o earth_n but_o it_o shed_v itself_o into_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o the_o world_n and_o hardly_o one_o member_n even_o abraham_n escape_v and_o even_o he_o not_o untainted_a in_o the_o time_n of_o jeremie_n the_o land_n mourn_v for_o oath_n in_o our_o time_n it_o be_v to_o be_v wonder_v that_o the_o land_n sink_v not_o to_o hell_n under_o the_o burden_n of_o this_o sin_n there_o be_v hardly_o one_o of_o a_o hundred_o that_o make_v conscience_n of_o all_o oath_n they_o have_v petty_a fear_n or_o wit_n yet_o be_v curse_v as_o ordinary_a as_o swear_v and_o drunkenness_n come_v not_o behind_o any_o of_o they_o how_o genâ—rall_a it_o be_v and_o how_o it_o have_v and_o do_v infect_v witness_v the_o ruin_n of_o many_o family_n the_o pine_a and_o lean_a cheek_n of_o many_o wife_n and_o child_n and_o the_o loathsome_a stink_n of_o it_o in_o every_o corner_n one_o degree_n of_o sin_n be_v but_o a_o step_n to_o another_o lead_v or_o rather_o drive_v to_o further_a iniquity_n look_v as_o it_o be_v with_o these_o position_n of_o the_o body_n when_o we_o have_v long_o walk_v we_o we_o may_v more_o than_o probable_o gather_v from_o one_o to_o another_o but_o especial_o to_o the_o patriarch_n by_o inspiration_n and_o gift_n of_o prophecy_n but_o in_o process_n of_o time_n when_o he_o have_v call_v out_o a_o nation_n &_o sanctify_v they_o to_o himself_o to_o be_v his_o church_n and_o people_n he_o contract_v this_o spiritual_a light_n into_o the_o body_n of_o the_o scripture_n and_o appoint_v not_o only_o the_o people_n in_o his_o church_n but_o even_o the_o star_n the_o minister_n to_o take_v from_o it_o what_o they_o bring_v to_o we_o and_o to_o shine_v with_o no_o they_o hear_v be_v indeed_o not_o man_v but_o go_n the_o prophet_n say_v they_o and_o apostle_n be_v extraordinary_a man_n and_o furnish_v with_o peculiar_a gift_n for_o such_o a_o calling_n and_o with_o a_o unerring_a spirit_n therefore_o their_o word_n be_v infallible_o godâ—_n message_n and_o so_o to_o be_v receive_v but_o not_o so_o the_o minister_n of_o our_o time_n who_o have_v not_o christian_n 3._o here_o be_v refute_v and_o reprove_v papist_n and_o all_o other_o ungrounded_a christian_n who_o deny_v the_o perseverance_n of_o the_o saint_n and_o affirm_v that_o even_o those_o who_o by_o a_o true_a faith_n be_v enter_v into_o christ_n and_o be_v now_o in_o the_o covenant_n of_o grace_n may_v yet_o fall_v back_o again_o and_o become_v utter_a apostate_n from_o the_o truth_n of_o grace_n which_o they_o have_v receive_v and_o so_o final_o be_v damn_v this_o error_n a_o rag_n of_o pelagianisme_n new_o wash_v and_o wear_v by_o the_o papist_n confute_v and_o condemn_v by_o the_o primitive_a church_n and_o especial_o by_o that_o learned_a saint_n augustine_n be_v so_o palpable_o contrary_a to_o this_o and_o many_o other_o scripture_n that_o it_o can_v be_v defend_v without_o manifest_a and_o gross_a impudence_n and_o contradiction_n to_o christ_n and_o his_o spirit_n but_o they_o object_n to_o what_o end_n be_v those_o many_o caution_n in_o the_o word_n 12._o let_v he_o that_o stand_v take_v heed_n lest_o he_o fall_v etc._n etc._n we_o must_v know_v for_o answer_n that_o this_o scripture_n speak_v only_o to_o such_o as_o think_v they_o stand_v and_o
