A68707 A large declaration concerning the late tumults in Scotland, from their first originalls together with a particular deduction of the seditious practices of the prime leaders of the Covenanters: collected out of their owne foule acts and writings: by which it doth plainly appeare, that religion was onely pretended by those leaders, but nothing lesse intended by them. By the King. Balcanquhall, Walter, 1586?-1645.; Charles I, King of England, 1600-1649. 1639 (1639) STC 21906; ESTC S116832 348,621 446

ancient_a and_o native_a kingdom_n will_v by_o their_o former_a experience_n of_o the_o falsehood_n of_o their_o seducer_n and_o leader_n learn_v to_o give_v no_o trust_n or_o credit_n to_o their_o posteriour_a and_o new_a misinformation_n which_o by_o their_o last_o seditious_a pamphlet_n print_v or_o write_v and_o by_o many_o intercept_a letter_n we_o find_v to_o be_v these_o three_o especial_o but_o all_o of_o they_o most_o notorious_o false_a first_o they_o go_v about_o to_o persuade_v our_o good_a subject_n that_o we_o intend_v a_o invasion_n of_o that_o our_o kingdom_n but_o they_o must_v have_v a_o great_a power_n over_o the_o faith_n of_o such_o as_o they_o can_v make_v believe_v that_o a_o king_n will_v invade_v his_o own_o kingdom_n invasion_n make_v by_o prince_n this_o our_o kingdom_n of_o england_n from_o invasion_n by_o they_o which_o they_o have_v so_o frequent_o threaten_v and_o if_o for_o the_o secure_n of_o our_o person_n they_o shall_v offer_v themselves_o to_o be_v our_o guard_n wheresoever_o we_o go_v what_o do_v they_o else_o but_o show_v themselves_o to_o be_v true_a and_o loyal_a subject_n and_o lay_v a_o obligation_n on_o we_o to_o
