like_a recovery_n this_o fear_n be_v not_o cowardice_n it_o do_v not_o debase_v but_o elevate_v the_o mind_n for_o it_o drown_v all_o low_a fear_n and_o beget_v true_a fortitude_n and_o courage_n to_o they_o but_o as_o draw_v out_o of_o they_o and_o that_o not_o violent_o draw_v but_o natural_o flow_v from_o they_o as_o pure_a stream_n from_o a_o pure_a spring_n thus_o in_o this_o epistle_n we_o find_v the_o apostle_n intermix_v his_o divine_a doctrine_n with_o most_o useful_a and_o practical_a exhortation_n chap._n 1._o verse_n 13.22_o and_o in_o the_o begin_n of_o this_o chap._n again_o there_o be_v some_o way_n to_o receive_v christ_n and_o retain_v their_o lust_n too_o and_o bring_v they_o to_o agreement_n to_o hear_v of_o the_o mercy_n of_o god_n and_o the_o dignity_n of_o his_o people_n in_o christ_n be_v very_o please_a but_o to_o have_v this_o follow_v upon_o it_o abstain_v from_o fleshly_a lust_n this_o be_v a_o importune_a troublesome_a discourse_n but_o it_o must_v be_v so_o for_o all_o that_o these_o that_o will_v share_v in_o that_o mercy_n and_o happiness_n must_v abstain_v from_o fleshly_a lust_n etc._n etc._n dear_o belove_v i_o beseech_v you_o there_o be_v a_o truth_n to_o say_v nothing_o of_o rome_n doctrine_n that_o talk_v thus_o to_o excuse_v their_o sacrilege_n of_o steal_v away_o the_o word_n from_o the_o people_n of_o god_n a_o senseless_a pretext_n though_o it_o be_v true_a because_o the_o word_n be_v dark_a of_o itself_o that_o therefore_o they_o shall_v make_v it_o dark_a look_v it_o up_o under_o a_o unknown_a tongue_n but_o we_o speak_v of_o the_o common_a vulgar_a excuse_n that_o the_o gross_a ignorance_n and_o profaneness_n of_o many_o seek_v to_o shroud_v under_o that_o they_o be_v not_o learned_a and_o can_v reach_v the_o doctrine_n honest_o with_o you_o in_o the_o particular_n honour_n all_o man_n honour_n in_o a_o narrow_a sense_n be_v not_o a_o universal_a due_a to_o all_o but_o peculiar_a to_o some_o kind_n of_o person_n of_o this_o the_o apostle_n honour_n to_o who_o honour_n and_o that_o in_o different_a degree_n to_o parent_n and_o master_n and_o other_o superior_n there_o be_v a_o honour_n that_o have_v as_o it_o be_v caesar_n image_n and_o superscription_n on_o it_o be_v particular_o due_a to_o he_o and_o as_o here_o it_o follow_v honour_n the_o king_n but_o there_o be_v something_o that_o go_v not_o unfit_o under_o the_o name_n of_o honour_n general_o due_a from_o every_o man_n without_o exception_n and_o it_o consist_v as_o all_o honour_n do_v partly_o in_o inward_a esteem_n of_o they_o partly_o in_o outward_a behaviour_n towards_o they_o and_o the_o former_a must_v be_v the_o ground_n and_o cause_n of_o the_o latter_a we_o owe_v not_o the_o same_o measure_n of_o esteem_n to_o all_o we_o may_v shell_n grace_n carry_v still_o its_o own_o worth_n though_o under_o a_o deform_a body_n and_o ragged_a garment_n yea_o though_o they_o have_v but_o a_o small_a measure_n of_o that_o neither_o the_o very_o low_a degree_n of_o grace_n as_o a_o pearl_n of_o the_o least_o size_n or_o a_o small_a piece_n of_o gold_n yet_o man_n will_v not_o throw_v it_o away_o but_o as_o they_o say_v the_o least_o shave_n of_o gold_n be_v worth_a the_o keep_n the_o jew_n will_v not_o willing_o tread_v upon_o the_o small_a piece_n of_o paper_n in_o their_o way_n but_o take_v it_o up_o for_o possible_o say_v they_o the_o name_n of_o god_n may_v be_v on_o it_o though_o there_o be_v a_o little_a superstition_n in_o that_o yet_o true_o there_o be_v nothing_o but_o good_a religion_n in_o it_o if_o we_o
