without_o the_o like_a gift_n or_o with_o the_o like_a gift_n now_o if_o to_o the_o office_n without_o the_o like_a gift_n than_o they_o do_v not_o lay_v their_o claim_n with_o their_o favour_n rational_o from_o our_o reason_n give_v before_o how_o we_o must_v argue_v from_o the_o general_a to_o the_o special_a but_o according_a to_o that_o of_o the_o general_n which_o be_v in_o the_o special_a therefore_o if_o they_o have_v not_o the_o like_a gift_n in_o teach_v which_o be_v to_o teach_v infallible_o by_o inspiration_n from_o jesus_n christ_n even_o as_o witness_n be_v teach_v when_o call_v to_o make_v oath_n in_o point_n of_o testimony_n to_o speak_v the_o truth_n and_o the_o whole_a truth_n and_o nothing_o but_o the_o truth_n so_o help_v we_o god_n we_o say_v if_o they_o have_v not_o the_o like_a gift_n aforesaid_a in_o teach_v which_o they_o deny_v they_o have_v say_v revelation_n and_o infallibility_n be_v cease_v now_o and_o synod_n may_v err_v as_o they_o confess_v in_o their_o late_a confession_n of_o faith_n which_o they_o there_o make_v good_a than_o they_o be_v not_o the_o apostle_n successor_n notwithstanding_o their_o claim_n because_o we_o can_v believe_v that_o christ_n mean_v a_o successor_n of_o a_o identicall_a office_n of_o teach_v without_o the_o gift_n that_o then_o be_v concomitant_a to_o the_o office_n and_o be_v inherent_a to_o the_o officer_n the_o say_a apostle_n we_o wish_v they_o to_o consult_v again_o and_o lay_v down_o the_o claim_n of_o their_o office_n from_o the_o apostle_n unless_o they_o will_v also_o lay_v claim_n to_o the_o like_a gift_n in_o teach_v with_o the_o apostle_n because_o they_o be_v so_o near_o and_o necesary_o join_v toget_v she_o in_o there_o ephes_n 4.9_o 10_o end_v 11_o 12._o to_o enable_v they_o to_o perform_v their_o office_n to_o the_o end_n and_o purpose_n express_v ephes_n 4.13_o therefore_o what_o jesus_n christ_n have_v join_v together_o let_v none_o dare_v to_o put_v asunder_o as_o to_o pretend_v to_o their_o predecessor_n office_n and_o not_o to_o their_o gift_n again_o they_o call_v themselves_o pastor_n and_o teacher_n now_o their_o ministration_n be_v not_o like_o pastor_n or_o teacher_n that_o therefore_o those_o officer_n be_v so_o include_v in_o the_o word_n math._n 28.20_o lo_o i_o be_o with_o you_o to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o world_n and_o that_o be_v not_o the_o apostle_n office_n their_o office_n nor_o yet_o can_v the_o pastor_n and_o teacher_n perform_v the_o apostle_n office_n because_o it_o be_v a_o lower_v office_n and_o if_o so_o they_o can_v call_v themselves_o the_o apostle_n successor_n by_o virtue_n of_o these_o word_n mat._n 28.20_o by_o reason_n of_o what_o christ_n do_v ephes_n 4.11_o hence_o it_o be_v we_o say_v these_o word_n math._n 28.20_o will_v not_o afford_v they_o warrant_v to_o call_v themselves_o what_o they_o do_v but_o it_o have_v be_v much_o better_a for_o they_o to_o have_v lay_v hold_v on_o ephes_n 4.11_o and_o argue_v thus_o for_o their_o claim_n of_o pastor_n etc._n etc._n there_o be_v pastor_n and_o teacher_n mention_v in_o the_o say_a place_n and_o though_o they_o themselves_o be_v not_o apostle_n or_o prophet_n or_o evangelist_n yet_o they_o be_v pastor_n and_o teacher_n and_o in_o these_o employment_n minister_n of_o jesus_n christ_n we_o say_v it_o have_v be_v much_o better_a for_o they_o to_o have_v lay_v hold_v on_o that_o place_n for_o the_o end_n aforesaid_a because_o they_o have_v hold_v forth_o some_o more_o colour_n to_o justify_v their_o office_n they_o pretend_v unto_o but_o yet_o little_a more_o of_o rational_a evidence_n for_o what_o they_o say_v save_v only_o still_o a_o argumentation_n like_o that_o of_o the_o man_n for_o his_o son_n to_o be_v the_o bishop_n aforesaid_a for_o though_o there_o be_v mention_v make_v of_o pastor_n and_o teacher_n and_o they_o be_v to_o be_v continue_v to_o the_o world_n end_n will_v it_o follow_v therefore_o upon_o any_o other_o certainty_n than_o the_o argumentation_n aforesaid_a that_o they_o be_v their_o successor_n as_o pastor_n and_o teacher_n in_o their_o generation_n unless_o they_o can_v prove_v that_o id_fw-la generis_fw-la that_o of_o the_o general_a requisite_a of_o gift_n to_o be_v in_o they_o with_o their_o office_n which_o be_v in_o the_o appoint_a pastor_n and_o teacher_n mention_v ephes_n
