be_v it_o that_o pride_n and_o covetousness_n make_v not_o way_n for_o they_o to_o take_v place_n for_o pride_n and_o covetousness_n be_v not_o willing_a to_o live_v and_o abide_v alone_o without_o the_o whole_a company_n of_o enemy_n which_o find_v room_n enough_o to_o abide_v and_o live_v together_o as_o brethren_n of_o one_o house_n or_o family_n in_o the_o heart_n and_o mind_n of_o every_o covetous_a man_n and_o woman_n who_o lust_n be_v natural_a to_o give_v way_n to_o any_o appearance_n of_o outward_a profit_n or_o gain_v in_o the_o thing_n of_o this_o 〈◊〉_d lust_n be_v such_o a_o subtle_a devil_n that_o it_o teach_v and_o lead_v 〈◊〉_d a_o covetous_a man_n and_o woman_n to_o clothe_v the_o outside_n with_o a_o form_n of_o religion_n which_o be_v but_o a_o child_n of_o their_o own_o lust_n beget_v who_o servant_n they_o be_v to_o who_o they_o obey_v and_o a_o child_n of_o their_o own_o lust_n who_o work_n they_o do_v and_o thus_o be_v the_o scripture_n fulfil_v by_o man_n in_o a_o form_n of_o godliness_n without_o the_o power_n of_o god_n therein_o be_v outward_o clothe_v with_o scripture_n word_n which_o to_o they_o be_v such_o clothing_n that_o cause_v such_o man_n and_o woman_n outward_o to_o appear_v as_o sheep_n of_o the_o true_a fold_n when_o indeed_o as_o the_o scripture_n speak_v they_o be_v inward_o raven_a wolf_n for_o when_o they_o speak_v most_o fair_a there_o be_v seven_o abomination_n in_o their_o heart_n so_o that_o all_o man_n and_o woman_n under_o what_o name_n soever_o few_o be_v they_o that_o cleave_v to_o the_o tree_n of_o life_n to_o live_v to_o god_n in_o thought_n word_n and_o work_n as_o they_o ought_v to_o do_v because_o the_o love_n of_o some_o one_o thing_n or_o another_o block_n up_o the_o way_n of_o truth_n that_o no_o part_n of_o the_o cross_n can_v be_v take_v up_o by_o they_o that_o love_v any_o thing_n more_o than_o the_o appearance_n of_o god_n holy_a truth_n for_o which_o cause_n many_o be_v they_o that_o can_v enter_v the_o strait_a gate_n which_o will_v not_o open_v to_o any_o but_o to_o they_o that_o keep_v in_o the_o path_n of_o the_o just_a which_o lead_v to_o the_o tree_n of_o life_n from_o which_o the_o faithful_a receive_v their_o daily_a nourishment_n who_o be_v make_v fit_a to_o enter_v the_o kingdom_n of_o heaven_n but_o of_o such_o their_o number_n be_v small_a and_o in_o this_o life_n the_o trial_n of_o their_o faith_n be_v great_a but_o this_o be_v their_o strength_n through_o faith_n in_o the_o promise_n of_o god_n that_o nothing_o shall_v befall_v they_o more_o than_o what_o he_o will_v enable_v they_o to_o bear_v for_o they_o have_v a_o assurance_n of_o his_o grace_n that_o it_o be_v able_a to_o save_v from_o the_o nethermost_a pit_n of_o hell_n and_o will_v keep_v and_o preserve_v all_o they_o that_o abide_v faithful_a to_o he_o who_o in_o the_o stillness_n of_o mind_n and_o retiredness_n of_o thought_n witness_v his_o save_a power_n who_o salvation_n be_v to_o the_o end_n of_o the_o earth_n so_o that_o nothing_o more_o shall_v befall_v his_o choose_a one_o than_o what_o have_v happen_v to_o the_o household_n of_o faith_n in_o day_n past_a there_o be_v no_o new_a thing_n under_o the_o sun_n for_o as_o in_o all_o age_n even_o so_o now_o he_o that_o be_v a_o jew_n in_o the_o outward_a be_v only_o a_o hearer_n of_o the_o law_n and_o not_o a_o doer_n of_o what_o be_v contain_v in_o the_o law_n and_o so_o no_o true_a heir_n of_o the_o promise_n which_o be_v to_o faithful_a abraham_n and_o to_o his_o seed_n not_o after_o the_o flesh_n but_o after_o the_o spirit_n for_o that_o which_o be_v bear_v after_o the_o flesh_n live_v to_o the_o thing_n of_o the_o flesh_n which_o to_o the_o wisdom_n of_o the_o flesh_n be_v sweet_a and_o delightful_a but_o the_o end_n thereof_o be_v the_o bitterness_n of_o death_n for_o death_n and_o destruction_n be_v the_o portion_n and_o inheritance_n of_o every_o covetous_a man_n bear_v after_o the_o flesh_n who_o love_n to_o covet_v be_v that_o enemy_n the_o lust_n and_o devil_n of_o his_o own_o hour_n that_o persecute_v the_o just_a principle_n of_o truth_n both_o in_o themselves_o and_o other_o which_o fulfil_v the_o scripture_n he_o that_o that_o be_v bear_v after_o the_o flesh_n persecute_v he_o that_o be_v bear_v of_o the_o spirit_n which_o consequent_o follow_v that_o every_o man_n which_o be_v in_o disobedience_n to_o the_o spirit_n of_o god_n be_v a_o persecutor_n of_o the_o just_a and_o holy_a one_o but_o who_o be_v it_o that_o consider_v this_o or_o think_v of_o it_o nay_o rather_o do_v not_o man_n hide_v and_o cover_v themselves_o with_o this_o and_o the_o other_o form_n of_o religion_n which_o if_o they_o do_v but_o bare_o come_v up_o to_o the_o outward_a form_n and_o in_o common_a honesty_n answer_v the_o extreme_a
