and_o authority_n but_o that_o a_o mistake_n in_o one_o be_v not_o of_o such_o dangerous_a consequence_n as_o it_o be_v to_o mistake_v the_o other_o whoever_o refuse_v to_o believe_v whatever_o be_v plain_o teach_v in_o scripture_n and_o which_o he_o believe_v to_o be_v teach_v there_o be_v a_o infidel_n and_o guilty_a of_o disbelieve_v god_n though_o the_o thing_n be_v of_o no_o great_a upon_o they_o by_o we_o as_o their_o principle_n or_o faith_n which_o be_v the_o chief_a art_n he_o use_v in_o draw_v up_o these_o misrepresentation_n xv._n of_o tradition_n we_o charge_v they_o with_o make_v some_o unwritten_a tradition_n of_o equal_a authority_n with_o the_o scripture_n and_o believe_v they_o with_o a_o divine_a faith_n this_o we_o say_v derogate_v from_o the_o perfection_n of_o the_o scripture_n or_o the_o write_a word_n of_o god_n for_o if_o our_o rule_n be_v partly_o the_o write_v partly_o the_o unwritten_a word_n then_o the_o scripture_n or_o write_v word_n be_v though_o they_o define_v such_o doctrine_n for_o article_n of_o faith_n as_o be_v never_o hear_v of_o in_o the_o christian_a church_n and_o lest_o be_v never_o put_v into_o any_o christian_a creed_n before_o yet_o he_o will_v not_o believe_v they_o to_o be_v addition_n to_o his_o faith_n or_o to_o what_o be_v teach_v by_o christ_n and_o his_o apostle_n but_o pope_n pius_n the_o 4_o the_o his_o creed_n must_v be_v the_o faith_n of_o the_o church_n from_o the_o apostle_n day_n now_o here_o i_o fancy_v our_o author_n mistake_v his_o side_n for_o the_o papist_n represent_v have_v much_o the_o worse_a character_n that_o he_o be_v so_o void_a of_o all_o sense_n that_o he_o can_v tell_v which_o be_v most_o twelve_o or_o four_o and_o twenty_o article_n in_o a_o creed_n this_o be_v a_o hard_a case_n that_o man_n must_v believe_v all_o the_o definition_n of_o their_o council_n but_o though_o they_o see_v their_o creed_n increase_v every_o day_n must_v never_o own_o that_o their_o faith_n receive_v any_o addition_n however_o i_o think_v he_o have_v no_o reason_n here_o to_o complain_v of_o misrepresent_v since_o he_o own_v all_o that_o any_o protestant_a charge_n he_o with_o such_o a_o implicit_a faith_n in_o general_a council_n as_o receive_v all_o their_o definition_n and_o rather_o than_o fail_v in_o defiance_n of_o sense_n and_o history_n will_v believe_v that_o to_o be_v the_o god_n how_o great_a i_o can_v tell_v but_o some_o flatterer_n of_o the_o papal_a greatness_n have_v give_v the_o title_n of_o god_n to_o the_o pope_n and_o possible_o some_o protestant_n have_v repeat_v the_o same_o after_o they_o but_o never_o charge_v the_o papist_n with_o believe_v it_o much_o less_o do_v they_o charge_v they_o with_o deny_v christ_n to_o be_v the_o head_n of_o the_o church_n or_o with_o say_v that_o the_o pope_n have_v take_v his_o place_n but_o we_o do_v charge_v they_o with_o make_v the_o pope_n the_o universal_a pastor_n and_o head_n of_o the_o church_n under_o christ_n and_o this_o i_o hope_v be_v no_o misrepresent_v for_o it_o be_v assert_v and_o prove_v after_o this_o fashion_n by_o the_o representer_n but_o why_o be_v the_o pope_n personal_a infallibility_n put_v into_o the_o character_n of_o a_o papist_n misrepresent_v why_o not_o as_o well_o the_o infallibility_n of_o general_n council_n since_o he_o grant_v some_o papist_n do_v believe_v the_o pope_n infallibility_n and_o such_o papist_n be_v not_o misrepresent_v by_o charge_v they_o with_o it_o and_o there_o be_v other_o who_o do_v not_o believe_v the_o council_n infallibility_n without_o the_o pope_n which_o therefore_o can_v be_v a_o inherent_a infallibility_n in_o they_o the_o truth_n be_v the_o infallibility_n of_o the_o church_n be_v the_o faith_n of_o a_o papist_n but_o in_o who_o this_o infallibility_n be_v seat_v whether_o in_o the_o diffusive_a representative_a or_o virtual_a church_n in_o pope_n or_o council_n or_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o christian_n be_v not_o agree_v among_o they_o but_o neither_o of_o these_o be_v misrepresentation_n of_o a_o papist_n unless_o you_o tell_v what_o particular_a sort_n of_o papist_n you_o represent_v and_o then_o i_o be_o sure_a you_o misrepresent_v a_o jesuit_n if_o you_o make_v he_o deny_v the_o pope_n infallibility_n xix_o of_o dispensation_n here_o i_o confess_v the_o misrepresenter_n and_o representer_n do_v flat_o contradict_v each_o other_o and_o i_o be_o hearty_o glad_a to_o hear_v the_o representer_n so_o full_o disow_v those_o principle_n which_o be_v destructive_a to_o all_o in_o general_a but_o i_o hope_v it_o be_v no_o misrepresentation_n to_o charge_v those_o man_n with_o such_o principle_n who_o charge_v themselves_o with_o they_o and_o i_o suppose_v our_o author_n will_v not_o say_v that_o these_o principle_n be_v never_o teach_v or_o defend_v by_o any_o papist_n whenever_o he_o be_v hardy_a enough_o to_o say_v this_o i_o will_v direct_v he_o to_o such_o popish_a author_n as_o will_v satisfy_v he_o about_o it_o xx._n of_o the_o depose_v power_n here_o the_o dispute_n between_o the_o misrepresenter_n and_o representer_n be_v only_o this_o whether_o the_o depose_v power_n be_v the_o doctrine_n of_o the_o church_n of_o rome_n for_o it_o be_v grant_v on_o all_o hand_n that_o it_o be_v or_o have_v be_v the_o doctrine_n and_o practice_n of_o many_o pope_n divine_n and_o canonist_n but_o that_o it_o have_v be_v condemn_v by_o other_o divine_n and_o some_o famous_a university_n though_o i_o do_v not_o hear_v that_o it_o be_v ever_o condemn_v by_o any_o pope_n but_o what_o do_v he_o think_v of_o this_o be_v decree_v by_o general_a council_n do_v not_o this_o make_v it_o the_o doctrine_n of_o their_o church_n this_o he_o say_v nothing_o to_o here_o but_o we_o shall_v meet_v with_o it_o by_o and_o by_o in_o his_o
anathema_n for_o have_v it_o be_v know_v in_o the_o time_n of_o the_o council_n of_o florence_n we_o may_v suppose_v they_o will_v have_v anathematise_v too_o as_o well_o as_o decree_v but_o this_o decree_n do_v not_o involve_v a_o doctrinal_a error_n what_o be_v the_o fault_n of_o it_o 3._o but_o suppose_v this_o decree_n must_v be_v only_o rank_v among_o the_o decreta_fw-la morum_fw-la which_o
