these_o exhortation_n in_o our_o day_n if_o any_o say_v no_o there_o be_v not_o more_o cause_n for_o then_o the_o magistrate_n be_v a_o mortal_a enemy_n to_o the_o gospel_n and_o the_o professor_n of_o it_o but_o we_o be_v thanks_o be_v to_o god_n under_o a_o christian_a magistrate_n who_o do_v not_o oppose_v but_o countenance_n the_o gospel_n and_o the_o profeffor_n of_o it_o if_o any_o make_v for_o say_v he_o the_o great_a increase_n of_o papist_n that_o we_o daily_o hear_v of_o and_o the_o great_a decline_a of_o many_o who_o be_v ready_a to_o receive_v any_o error_n that_o shall_v be_v offer_v to_o they_o these_o thing_n give_v we_o just_a cause_n to_o fear_v the_o danger_n of_o popery_n overspreading_a we_o and_o brethren_n if_o it_o be_v so_o in_o his_o time_n so_o many_o year_n ago_o what_o be_v it_o now_o reas._n ii_o second_o say_v he_o if_o he_o there_o be_v no_o danger_n o●_n popery_n yet_o say_v he_o there_o be_v so_o many_o error_n new_o spring_v up_o that_o do_v as_o a_o besiege_a city_n in_o the_o midst_n of_o her_o enemy_n they_o have_v enemy_n without_o and_o enemy_n within_o enemy_n without_o the_o devil_n be_v their_o adversary_n 1_o they_o be_v in_o danger_n in_o respect_n of_o the_o devil_n who_o be_v a_o very_a potent_a enemy_n a_o roar_a lion_n and_o a_o malicious_a enemy_n malicious_a against_o god_n a_o industrious_a enemy_n he_o go_v will_v seek_v who_o he_o may_v devour_v he_o compass_v the_o earth_n to_o do_v what_o he_o can_v to_o keep_v soul_n from_o christ_n he_o it_o a_o subtle_a enemy_n that_o have_v his_o stratagem_n to_o catch_v and_o ensnare_v poor_a soul_n now_o it_o be_v the_o endeavour_n of_o every_o true_a minister_n of_o jesus_n christ_n to_o secure_v his_o people_n by_o his_o counsel_n and_o his_o prayer_n for_o we_o be_v not_o ignorant_a of_o his_o device_n 2_o cor._n 2.11_o as_o it_o he_o shall_v say_v i_o have_v most_o experience_n of_o the_o devil_n subtlety_n satan_n set_v to_o oppose_v they_o most_o and_o this_o be_v one_o thing_n to_o rob_v minister_n of_o their_o mediation_n of_o their_o prayer_n and_o therefore_o it_o be_v the_o design_n of_o minister_n to_o strengthen_v their_o people_n in_o regard_n of_o satan_n temptation_n 2._o they_o be_v in_o danger_n in_o respect_n of_o seducer_n that_o lie_v in_o wait_n to_o deceive_v 3_o they_o be_v in_o danger_n by_o the_o world_n lest_o they_o shall_v be_v fright_v by_o its_o opposition_n 4_o they_o be_v in_o danger_n by_o their_o corrupt_a lust_n that_o war_n against_o their_o soul_n therefore_o every_o faithful_a minister_n warn_v his_o people_n of_o those_o that_o their_o soul_n may_v be_v secure_v this_o be_v that_o that_o a_o faithful_a minister_n will_v do_v among_o his_o people_n while_o he_o be_v with_o they_o when_o he_o be_v take_v from_o they_o he_o commit_v they_o to_o god_n to_o be_v secure_v from_o all_o danger_n as_o christ_n in_o that_o place_n before_o father_n keep_v they_o in_o thy_o own_o hand_n last_o every_o faithful_a minister_n seek_v the_o comfort_n and_o consolation_n of_o his_o people_n it_o be_v their_o desire_n to_o comfort_v the_o feeble_a hand_n 〈◊〉_d they_o be_v not_o master_n of_o your_o grace_n but_o helper_n of_o your_o joy_n 2_o cor._n 4.21_o where_o the_o gospel_n appear_v in_o power_n man_n will_v stand_v in_o need_n of_o comfort_n under_o doubt_n fear_n and_o affliction_n and_o this_o be_v the_o desire_n of_o every_o faithful_a minister_n of_o jesus_n christ_n in_o their_o departure_n from_o their_o people_n to_o support_v the_o weak_a to_o resolve_v the_o doubt_v to_o succour_v the_o tempt_v and_o when_o he_o be_v take_v from_o they_o and_o can_v contribute_v little_a to_o this_o work_n he_o recommend_v they_o to_o god_n a_o depart_a minister_n may_v say_v to_o his_o people_n if_o god_n have_v make_v i_o a_o instrument_n of_o speak_a comfort_n to_o your_o soul_n you_o have_v cause_n to_o bless_v god_n for_o it_o now_o i_o can_v do_v no_o
