greatness_n of_o the_o affliction_n of_o a_o christian_a when_o he_o say_v we_o be_v slay_v subject_n not_o only_o to_o small_a cross_n but_o to_o the_o great_a second_o the_o continuance_n of_o their_o affliction_n all_o the_o day_n long_o that_o be_v not_o in_o one_o age_n but_o in_o all_o age_n of_o the_o world_n have_v it_o be_v our_o lot_n three_o the_o cause_n of_o their_o suffering_n for_o thy_o sake_n it_o be_v necessary_a for_o our_o comfort_n that_o we_o mark_v the_o fountain_n mark_v and_o from_o whence_o affliction_n proceed_v to_o the_o godly_a for_o the_o ignorance_n thereof_o make_v many_o to_o err_v with_o the_o friend_n of_o job_n and_o judge_v wrong_n of_o the_o godly_a as_o if_o they_o be_v strike_v always_o for_o their_o sin_n when_o indeed_o they_o be_v not_o we_o be_v therefore_o to_o know_v that_o sometime_o affliction_n come_v to_o the_o godly_a for_o sin_n past_a sometime_o for_o sin_n to_o come_v sometime_o neither_o for_o sin_n past_a nor_o sin_n to_o come_v but_o that_o the_o work_n of_o god_n may_v be_v make_v manifest_a the_o first_o way_n affliction_n to_o they_o who_o the_o lord_n love_v be_v medicinal_a restorative_n restorative_n by_o which_o they_o be_v waken_v to_o recover_v their_o health_n by_o repentance_n for_o those_o sin_n through_o which_o they_o have_v become_v spiritual_o disease_v for_o howsoever_o the_o lord_n give_v loose_a reins_n to_o the_o child_n of_o wrath_n 12._o and_o deliver_v they_o up_o to_o their_o own_o heart_n desire_v 6._o yet_o will_v he_o hedge_v in_o with_o throne_n the_o way_n of_o those_o who_o he_o purpose_v to_o save_v and_o will_v waken_v they_o by_o some_o sharp_a rod_n or_o other_o when_o he_o fee_v they_o sleep_v in_o security_n so_o teach_v he_o miriam_n by_o leprosy_n to_o leave_v her_o murmur_a so_o waken_v he_o jonas_n out_o of_o his_o sleep_n by_o cast_v he_o into_o the_o sea_n he_o cure_v zachary_n of_o infidelity_n by_o strike_v he_o with_o dumbness_n he_o divert_a paul_n from_o his_o evil_a course_n by_o blindness_n bless_a be_v the_o man_n who_o the_o lord_n this_o way_n correct_v sometime_o again_o the_o lord_n send_v affliction_n preseruative_n as_o preseruative_n to_o his_o child_n to_o keep_v they_o from_o sin_n whereunto_o he_o see_v of_o their_o weakness_n they_o be_v ready_a to_o fall_v if_o they_o be_v not_o prevent_v and_o so_o he_o send_v a_o angel_n of_o satan_n to_o buffet_v paul_n 7._o not_o for_o any_o sin_n he_o have_v do_v but_o for_o a_o sin_n that_o he_o may_v do_v lest_o he_o shall_v have_v be_v exalt_v out_o of_o measure_n and_o sometime_o the_o lord_n lay_v on_o affliction_n sin_n neither_o to_o correct_v sin_n past_a nor_o to_o prevent_v sin_n to_o come_v
