no_o place_n 17._o and_o herein_o also_o he_o secret_o repress_v and_o beat_v back_o the_o vain_a ostentation_n of_o the_o false_a teacher_n 2._o that_o have_v nothing_o before_o their_o eye_n but_o only_o to_o have_v the_o applause_n and_o the_o like_n of_o man_n i_o dare_v not_o so_o do_v my_o duty_n say_v he_o as_o some_o teacher_n among_o you_o who_o frame_v themselves_o to_o please_v man_n but_o my_o chief_a and_o whole_a purpose_n be_v to_o please_v god_n in_o my_o call_n for_o when_o man_n shall_v have_v give_v upon_o my_o do_n their_o verdict_n and_o judgement_n either_o in_o like_v or_o dislike_n of_o i_o i_o know_v that_o when_o man_n shall_v have_v do_v with_o i_o with_o their_o judgement_n and_o censure_n that_o i_o must_v after_o all_o that_o come_v before_o god_n and_o he_o must_v take_v the_o view_n of_o i_o and_o my_o life_n not_o according_a as_o it_o have_v appear_v outward_o to_o the_o show_n of_o man_n but_o as_o it_o have_v be_v indeed_o before_o god_n and_o therefore_o i_o dare_v not_o frame_v myself_o to_o the_o only_a like_n of_o man_n but_o especial_o to_o the_o please_a of_o my_o god_n before_o who_o judgement_n seat_n i_o must_v once_o stand_v and_o that_o be_v it_o that_o make_v i_o so_o careful_a as_o he_o add_v in_o the_o verse_n follow_v not_o only_o to_o do_v my_o duty_n before_o man_n so_o true_o as_o they_o can_v not_o just_o blame_v i_o 11._o but_o especial_o to_o examine_v my_o heart_n before_o god_n that_o it_o be_v upright_o before_o he_o as_o my_o outward_a do_n be_v before_o man_n because_o i_o set_v before_o my_o eye_n this_o terrible_a judgement_n of_o the_o lord_n who_o be_v a_o sore_a revenger_n of_o all_o dissimulation_n thus_o you_o hear_v then_o for_o what_o purpose_n the_o apostle_n bring_v in_o this_o sentence_n of_o our_o appear_v before_o the_o judgement_n seat_n of_o god_n that_o be_v to_o stir_v himself_o up_o to_o walk_v more_o sincere_o before_o god_n &_o not_o to_o be_v content_v with_o the_o applause_n or_o like_n of_o man_n it_o remain_v now_o that_o we_o gather_v our_o profit_n by_o it_o &_o apply_v it_o to_o our_o use_n that_o it_o may_v serve_v we_o in_o as_o good_a stead_n as_o it_o do_v the_o apostle_n for_o i_o need_v not_o stand_v long_o to_o prove_v the_o truth_n of_o the_o sentence_n see_v it_o be_v so_o evident_a through_o the_o whole_a body_n of_o the_o scripture_n &_o so_o apparent_a as_o can_v be_v that_o christ_n shall_v come_v to_o judgement_n it_o be_v a_o thing_n evident_a enough_o of_o itself_o and_o deny_v of_o none_o the_o simple_a of_o all_o do_v acknowledge_v it_o every_o one_o know_v that_o doom_n day_n will_v come_v it_o be_v a_o article_n of_o our_o creed_n that_o christ_n shall_v come_v to_o judge_v we_o so_o that_o i_o need_v not_o busy_v myself_o to_o set_v out_o that_o matter_n in_o large_a proof_n which_o be_v of_o all_o so_o general_o confess_v but_o this_o especial_o we_o have_v to_o note_v out_o of_o it_o that_o we_o learn_v to_o make_v our_o profit_n &_o benefit_n by_o it_o unto_o our_o soul_n health_n as_o the_o apostle_n do_v unto_o his_o soul_n and_o apply_v it_o unto_o our_o soul_n as_o he_o do_v unto_o himself_o for_o he_o bring_v this_o sentence_n not_o to_o do_v we_o to_o understande_v that_o he_o know_v only_a and_o acknowledge_v a_o judgement_n to_o come_v for_o the_o very_a devil_n do_v in_o like_a manner_n so_o much_o &_o yet_o cease_v not_o continual_o to_o rage_v against_o god_n but_o that_o by_o the_o acknowledge_v of_o that_o judgement_n 11._o he_o be_v inward_o touch_v with_o a_o reverend_a fear_n and_o a_o earnest_a desire_n to_o do_v his_o duty_n and_o walk_v upright_o both_o outward_o before_o man_n &_o inward_o before_o god_n this_o profit_n do_v he_o gather_v to_o himself_o then_o by_o think_v upon_o the_o judgement_n to_o come_v &_o set_v it_o before_o his_o eye_n that_o thereby_o he_o be_v stir_v up_o to_o walk_v this_o life_n wary_o &_o sincere_o both_o before_o god_n &_o man_n &_o by_o this_o example_n we_o be_v admonish_v good_a brethren_n to_o do_v the_o like_a that_o be_v to_o set_v the_o remembrance_n of_o the_o judgement_n seat_n of_o god_n before_o our_o eye_n that_o thereby_o we_o may_v be_v raise_v from_o our_o security_n but_o alas_o we_o be_v very_o far_o from_o it_o every_o one_o of_o we_o i_o grant_v can_v confess_v and_o i_o think_v we_o do_v believe_v it_o too_o that_o christ_n shall_v come_v to_o judgement_n we_o can_v so_o say_v but_o alas_o we_o go_v no_o further_o we_o gather_v not_o hereupon_o with_o the_o apostle_n a_o lesson_n to_o ourselves_o to_o walk_v therefore_o upright_o and_o without_o guile_n before_o god_n know_v that_o all_o our_o do_n must_v once_o come_v to_o the_o scan_n before_o his_o judgement_n this_o we_o leave_v out_o and_o content_v ourselves_o only_o with_o a_o vain_a repetition_n of_o bare_a word_n in_o our_o creed_n &_o think_v that_o we_o be_v notable_a christian_n when_o we_o have_v roll_v up_o the_o word_n in_o our_o creed_n that_o christ_n shall_v come_v to_o judge_v both_o the_o quick_a and_o the_o dead_a &_o in_o the_o mean_a time_n never_o apply_v it_o to_o our_o life_n to_o take_v admonition_n thereby_o to_o walk_v in_o the_o fear_n of_o our_o god_n this_o i_o say_v man_n little_a think_v upon_o but_o we_o see_v how_o the_o apostle_n teach_v we_o another_o lesson_n by_o his_o example_n to_o apply_v the_o consideration_n of_o the_o come_n of_o christ_n unto_o our_o soul_n with_o fear_n and_o tremble_a to_o walk_v in_o simplicity_n before_o god_n because_o we_o can_v escape_v his_o judgement_n and_o it_o stand_v we_o in_o hand_n to_o learn_v it_o well_o and_o put_v it_o in_o practice_n for_o we_o see_v the_o untowardnes_n of_o the_o world_n &_o our_o own_o blindness_n how_o we_o do_v not_o only_o suffer_v ourselves_o to_o be_v blind_v by_o other_o but_o willing_o
