open_v the_o heart_n of_o lydia_n that_o she_o attend_v to_o the_o thing_n that_o paul_n 14._o act._n 16._o 14._o speak_v all_o that_o hear_v he_o be_v light_v but_o they_o only_o enlighten_v which_o believe_v the_o thing_n he_o speak_v how_o then_o may_v christ_n be_v say_v to_o inlighten_v every_o man_n since_o it_o be_v apparent_a many_o yea_o the_o great_a part_n believe_v not_o sure_o the_o former_a answer_n satisfy_v this_o doubt_n very_o sufficient_o whosoever_o be_v enlighten_v have_v this_o enlighten_v from_o the_o true_a light_n and_o this_o interpretation_n as_o i_o show_v before_o agree_v very_o well_o with_o the_o evangelist_n word_n and_o meaning_n but_o let_v we_o apply_v the_o common_a distinction_n to_o this_o purpose_n christ_n inlightn_v every_o man_n as_o much_o as_o lie_v in_o he_o if_o we_o understand_v this_o of_o his_o absolute_a power_n whereby_o he_o be_v able_a as_o god_n to_o do_v all_o thing_n it_o be_v manifest_o false_a else_o shall_v every_o man_n undoubted_o believe_v for_o he_o be_v able_a to_o beget_v faith_n in_o the_o heart_n of_o every_o man_n therefore_o the_o most_o that_o can_v be_v true_o avoucht_v in_o this_o matter_n be_v this_o in_o this_o part_n of_o the_o verse_n that_o the_o evangelist_n change_v his_o speech_n and_o whereas_o before_o he_o have_v speak_v the_o light_n to_o which_o it_o shall_v answer_v now_o in_o steed_n of_o that_o he_o say_v he_o the_o world_n know_v he_o not_o who_o do_v not_o the_o world_n know_v in_o the_o next_o verse_n before_o he_o mention_v the_o light_n therefore_o he_o shall_v now_o have_v say_v the_o world_n know_v it_o not_o the_o greek_a express_v neither_o it_o nor_o he_o in_o the_o two_o former_a clause_n but_o because_o in_o this_o last_o the_o evangelist_n expounde_v himself_o can_v these_o torch_n and_o star_n which_o have_v all_o their_o light_n from_o the_o son_n of_o god_n equal_a the_o author_n and_o giver_n of_o that_o light_n let_v the_o light_n they_o give_v be_v as_o great_a as_o it_o can_v reasonable_o be_v imagine_v to_o be_v yet_o be_v they_o not_o the_o true_a light_n what_o do_v we_o then_o gaze_v and_o gape_v upon_o man_n as_o if_o there_o be_v no_o light_n but_o in_o they_o if_o any_o man_n have_v a_o little_a more_o knowledge_n than_o other_o that_o he_o can_v teach_v we_o somewhat_o which_o every_o one_o be_v not_o acquaint_v withal_o we_o johns_n meaning_n according_a to_o this_o interpretation_n must_v be_v thus_o understand_v jesus_n of_o who_o john_n bare_a witness_n be_v the_o true_a light_n and_o whosoever_o be_v enlighten_v be_v
