necessity_n of_o point_n and_o direct_v our_o prosecution_n according_o instruct_v we_o not_o to_o call_v every_o problematical_a question_n by_o the_o name_n of_o necessary_a and_o infallible_a truth_n but_o agree_v in_o fundamental_o either_o to_o leave_v superedification_n to_o the_o
with_o it_o draw_v from_o the_o day_n of_o god_n retribution_n for_o there_o be_v a_o day_n approach_v wherein_o he_o will_v make_v a_o severe_a enquiry_n into_o this_o duty_n censure_v the_o breaker_n terrible_o and_o honour_v the_o observer_n eternal_o for_o god_n will_v bring_v every_o work_n into_o judgement_n etc._n etc._n so_o that_o you_o see_v he_o do_v not_o beg_v the_o and_o the_o proof_n the_o conclusion_n that_o be_v well_o seat_v in_o the_o midst_n have_v two_o branch_n the_o proof_n that_o follow_v two_o reason_n and_o the_o preface_n in_o the_o front_n two_o insinuation_n of_o these_o in_o their_o order_n so_o far_o as_o the_o text_n shall_v lead_v we_o and_o first_o a_o word_n only_o or_o two_o of_o the_o preface_n for_o audience_n audiamus_fw-la let_v we_o hear_v etc._n etc._n for_o the_o truth_n be_v every_o man_n have_v not_o a_o ear_n apt_a in_o itself_o for_o such_o conclusion_n nor_o can_v have_v so_o long_o as_o it_o be_v farce_v and_o stop_v up_o with_o the_o filthy_a brood_n of_o their_o own_o corruption_n indeed_o every_o man_n have_v a_o ear_n but_o not_o a_o ear_n to_o hear_v at_o least_o not_o to_o hear_v all_o thing_n and_o therefore_o when_o he_o utter_v such_o point_n as_o these_o he_o that_o have_v ear_n to_o hear_v let_v he_o hear_v say_v not_o solomon_n but_o our_o saviour_n himself_o they_o be_v sad_a and_o sullen_a duty_n fear_v god_n and_o keep_v his_o commandment_n and_o of_o a_o harsh_a sound_n as_o seek_v to_o beat_v we_o from_o those_o delight_n which_o peradventure_o we_o be_v not_o resolve_v as_o yet_o to_o forsake_v and_o then_o that_o which_o be_v distasteful_a to_o the_o mind_n will_v never_o prove_v over-pleasant_a to_o the_o ear._n let_v we_o indeed_o seek_v out_o delightful_a word_n narrantis_fw-la ab_fw-la ore_fw-la if_o he_o but_o open_v his_o lip_n and_o yet_o in_o such_o case_n as_o these_o though_o he_o well_o know_v his_o own_o wisdom_n and_o power_n yet_o he_o be_v not_o so_o confident_a of_o his_o authority_n and_o person_n but_o think_v it_o well_o if_o he_o may_v gain_v hear_v though_o he_o pray_v and_o exhort_v for_o it_o himself_o and_o give_v himself_o too_o for_o a_o example_n in_o it_o become_v both_o preacher_n and_o auditor_n not_o refuse_v to_o include_v himself_o in_o that_o duty_n which_o he_o do_v urge_v upon_o other_o for_o so_o it_o lie_v let_v we_o hear_v etc._n etc._n it_o be_v the_o next_o way_n for_o our_o word_n to_o take_v when_o we_o require_v nothing_o of_o our_o hearer_n but_o what_o we_o ourselves_o be_v as_o ready_a to_o do_v and_o perform_v a_o easy_a matter_n it_o be_v to_o bind_v heavy_a burden_n for_o other_o man_n shoulder_n but_o it_o be_v not_o so_o easy_a to_o persuade_v the_o people_n to_o take_v they_o up_o to_o bear_v they_o so_o long_o as_o the_o binder_n like_o those_o pharisee_n in_o the_o gospel_n refuse_v to_o touch_v they_o with_o the_o least_o of_o their_o finger_n if_o we_o think_v to_o awaken_v the_o world_n out_o of_o their_o dead_a sleep_n it_o will_v not_o be_v enough_o to_o crow_n unto_o other_o unless_o withal_o we_o shall_v beat_v our_o wing_n too_o on_o our_o own_o side_n it_o will_v make_v a_o double_a noise_n and_o the_o likely_a to_o pierce_v the_o ear_n when_o it_o come_v not_o with_o a_o audite_fw-la vos_fw-la or_o audiant_fw-la illi_fw-la do_v you_o hear_v or_o let_v they_o hear_v the_o conclusion_n etc._n etc._n and_o sure_o it_o be_v something_o the_o likely_a to_o be_v hear_v and_o regard_v too_o for_o that_o be_v it_o nothing_o else_o that_o yet_o it_o be_v a_o conclusion_n a_o truth_n orderly_o draw_v and_o deduce_v from_o its_o undoubted_a principle_n a_o discourse_n that_o flutter_v not_o up_o and_o down_o at_o random_n like_o a_o seel_a dove_n but_o
